The apartment sleeps four to eight (plus cot which can be supplied). It consists of two well-sized bedrooms, an exceptionally large living room with two double sofa beds, a bathroom, shower room with WC and another separate WC. It is furnished to a high-spec with a fully-equipped kitchen with full-sized oven, microwave and underfloor heating. The development in which the apartment is situated features a spa area with indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi for guests' use. Intersport (the closest ski hire shop) offers a 20% to all our guests.
The building also offers a lounge with open fireplace and sofas. The apartment has its own underground parking space, ski locker and large cave for luggage storage should you arrive early or wish to check out late.

The apartment has a huge living/dining room with flat-screen TV and DVD player, two sofa beds and fully equipped kitchen including a full-sized oven, dishwasher and microwave. In addition there is one double and one twin room, both with fitted wardrobes, bedside tables and lamps. There are two bathrooms plus a separate WC. There is a selection of english-language DVDs and books for you to enjoy during your stay.
Check in is generally from 3pm and check out at 10am. We MAY be able to offer flexibility on these times if given advance notice.
The Rhone / French Alps / Savoie region
Les Coches is a small village within the huge Paradiski skiing area. It is far from the tower-block like developments common in many resorts. Its small centre with shops, bars and restaurants is pedestrianised.
Within the Paradiski region there are 425km of slopes - 225km within La Plagne - catering for everyone from beginners to experts. Les Coches is the ideal base for exploring the region. There are two ski schools locally - ESF and Evolution2 as well as nearby tried and tested creche facilities for children aged six months upwards.
The La Plagne / Les Coches area
Paradiski is a huge ski area, one of the best loved in the world. With its two glaciers, high peaks and many snow cannons, skiing is guaranteed.
During the summer Les Coches and the surrounding area are beautiful - a great place for hiking, mountain-biking, playing tennis, swimming and white-water rafting for the more adventurous. There is also plenty for children to do with many play grounds and a kids' club.

Train - Bourg St Maurice - just a twenty minute taxi ride from Les Coches can be reached directly by Eurostar from London St Pancras or Ebbsfleet. Direct trains also run from Paris.
Air - Geneva, Grenoble and Lyon airports are around a 2.5 hour drive away. Airlines inlcude easyJet, Jet2, British Airways, ThomsonFly and BMI. Chambery is a 1.5 hour drive away. Airlines inlcude Flybe.
Drive - Les Coches is around a 9-10 hour drive from Calais.

Right from the first enquiry to leaving to come home, our holiday in this huge apartment in Les Coches was fantastic. The accommodation is spacious and has everything you need for your holiday. We stayed for almost a month, and after experiencing the shoebox style accommodation available in the majority of France, this was such a refreshing change!
The private apartment is part of La Grange - Chalets De Wengen, and they provide regular apartment management in the form of a helpful reception staff, from whom you can order fresh bakery goods each morning. They are very friendly, and always spoke to us for a chat. There is also a pool and small spa area there, although we only used it once as it was far too cold - a common comment in the main reception guest book, so not just us. (This was nothing to do with the apartment however!). There is also wifi in reception for a fee, though we would have appreciated this facility in the apartment, maybe one day La Grange will roll this out. Until then though there is a good spacious lounge area in reception where you can sit and read, check emails, or warm by the open fire.
The owner of the apartment, Catherine, was always helpful and quickly responded to any emails or other contact we made with queries about the apartment before during and after our stay. She also helped with advice on supermarkets and ski schools etc, and made our stay a lot easier as a result!
I would recommend this apartment wholeheartedly to anyone. Its comfortable, roomy, great beds, and friendly owner and staff in resort. Don't think, book it....just leave a space for us....we will be back! Thanks for a brilliant holiday Catherine!
