La Bellefontaine, is a well-maintained privately owned luxury holiday apartment for all the family and is finished to 4* standards. It is conveniently situated no more than 50m to the nearest lift access to La Plagne, Les Arcs ski areas, and no more than 100m to the nearest gondola. These both provide your gateway to the La Plagne and Les Arcs ski areas for enough skiing, snowboarding or telemarking to satisfy your hunger for the slopes on a daily basis.
The apartment, situated in Les Coches, is in the heart of the Paradiski (Les Arcs and La Plagne ski areas). This means you can ski to Les Arcs (via the Vanoise Express) or La Plagne, in about an hour. The apartment is just a 10 minute walk from the village centre where you’ll find everything you need for your family holiday
This year (2009) The TOUR DE FRANCE finishes in Bourg St Maurice. The pelaton will be arriving from the Petit St Bernard Pass. Why not stay with us for a unique experience!

The Rhone / French Alps / Savoie region
The Paradiski consists of two major ski areas recently combined - La Plagne and Les Arcs. The ski areas have something for everyone, no matter what level a skier you are. For beginners there are some excellent learning facilities and ski schools in the ski resort of Les Coches. The nearest ski school is less than a 5 minute walk from your luxury apartment for the week. You will find all the latest information in the TOURIST OFFICE, which can be located on the left just as you enter the resort (see the resort map under The Apartment link) La Plagne has 10 satellite villages of which Les Coches is one. If you still need more skiing then you could always get the Vanoise Express (leaving from Les Coches) over to Les Arcs for the day.

La Plagne / Les Coches area
This family friendly ski resort is known as Montchavin-Les Coches and is part of the La Plagne and Les Arcs ski area in the heart of the French Alps. Montchavin is at an altitude of 1250m whilst Les Coches is 1450m.
Les Coches can be reached from Bourg St Maurice in 20 minutes. The nearest station is 10 – 15 minutes away in Landry (see Directions and travel plans). You will pass Montchavin on the way to Les Coches.

This ski resort of Les Coches, offers a variety of shops to meet all your family needs during your holiday, such as 2 Boulangerie, Charcuterie, Spar, Delicatessen serving local foods, Souvenir shop - Les Flocons Souvenir
There are a good number of restaurants / bars in the heart of this ski resort which will satisfy all your needs, whether a hearty lunch is required during your days skiing or after a full days skiing to La Plagne or Les Arcs.

Additional Information About Les Coches: Lift Pass Office: From the flat walk down the road. Just before the 3rd hairpin you'll see a building on the left called "Caisse des Remontees". Cash Machine: This is a little bit further than the lift pass office (see above). Just walk down the hill a little further (or round the next hairpin corner from the Lift Pass office. Tourist Office: This can be found at the bottom of the village. Take the first left as you enter the village. It is the first building on the left NB The lift pass office and cash machine are only available during the main holiday seasons (winter / summer). The tourist office is more widely available

Self Drive:
The quickest way to get to Les Coches (La Plagne) in the Alps is to leave Calais (http://www.poferries.com)

. A non-refundable deposit of £100 will be taken at time of the booking to reserve your stay. At this point we will send a confirmation booking form (please confirm at time of provisional booking whether you prefer this sent by post or email) · The balance must be paid 8 weeks prior to departure (failure to do so will result in the deposit being retained and the apartment being made available again) · Any bookings made within 8 weeks of departure must be paid in full. · A refundable deposit of 1 weeks stay will be payable prior to departure. This will be returned in full within 10 days of departure from your holiday apartment in Les Coches / La Plagne in the French Alps, after satisfactory inspection and successful return of the apartment key – detail will be on the confirmation booking form · The apartment key will be sent to you at upon receipt of full payment
