Chalet Chanterelle is a cosy,traditional Savoyarde chalet in a great location just above the village of Plagne 1800. With 4 twin bedrooms and 3 bathrooms it offers excellent value accommodation for groups of up to 8 people. The chalet offers a comfortable lounge with leather suite and log fire,large balcony/terrace with great views over the village and a separate dining room. A TV/DVD combo and Cd player are available for guest use. It is less than a 5 minute walk from Chanterelle to the heart of the village with a choice of shops,the excellent La Mine bar,and several good value restaurants. Plagne Centre and Plagne Bellecote are both easily accessible via the free shuttle buses that stop approx 300m from the chalet

La Plagne,Les Arcs,PARADISKI is located in the Tarentaise. Easily accessible by car--most of the journey is on the autoroute---by train---stopping at Aime or Bourg St Maurice---or by air--with the nearest airports being Chambery,Geneva,Grenoble and Lyon.

La Plagne ,Les Arcs,PARADISKI is one of the world's great ski areas with some 425 kms of piste and wonderful off piste. An intermediate's paradise there is skiing and boarding here for all levels. With 2 glaciers offering skiing at 3000m ,a huge amount of skiing at over 2000m and some lovely tree lined runs down to the lower villages the choice is almost endless. There are some excellent value restaurants throughout the whole area for either a lunch time stop or a vin chaud before hitting the slopes again. Truly a FANTASTIC ski area--the VANOISE EXPRESS gondola across to Les Arcs is the biggest of its type in the world scooting over the Ponturin valley in an amazing 4 minutes. How to get there
La Plagne is conveniently located in the Tarentaise valley,home to some of the world's great ski resorts. FLYING. The nearest airports are CHAMBERY,GENEVA,GRENOBLE and LYON.---transfer to resort takes approx two hours from Chambery and two and a half to two and three quarter hours from the others--these timings are for a door to door transfer. We are able to offer a transfer service and/or we work closely with a transfer company out here. Car hire is available from all the airports. All the major Budget Airlines offer services to the above airports. TRAIN Many guests let the "train take the strain"--both RAIL EUROPE and EUROSTAR offer services to the Alps to the valley towns of AIME and BOURG ST MAURICE---Aime is the closest station to La Plagne---we can meet you off the train and ferry you up to the chalet--no charge. The DIRECT EUROSTAR service--either overnight on the Friday or during the day on the Saturday has become a very popular "green " way to travel--for 2007/08 services will operate from ST. PANCRAS. SELF DRIVE. La Plagne is easily accessible by road with nearly all the journey on the fast,smooth ,FRENCH AUTOROUTES.. FERRY services to CALAIS and the EUROTUNNEL service to FOLKSTONE leave an approx 10 hour drive to resort--many guests break the journey with an overnight stop in one of the great value budget chains of hotels that exist in France--try FORMULA 1,CAMPANILE and COMFORT HOTELS. Further details indoors: The entrance to Chalet Chanterelle is via the ground floor ski and boot room. The chalet living area is to be found on the ground floor with a cozy lounge with new leather suite and log burner,kitchen,separate dining room,bathroom with bath and overhead shower and a separate WC. The first floor offers 3 twin bedrooms one of which is en suite with a bath,overhead shower and WC. The lower floor offers a fourth twin bedroom with adjacent shower room and WC. Our great chalet hosts,Enzo and Lyn also have their accommodation on this floor.
Further details outdoors: Chanterelle is located just above Plagne 1800. A large balcony/terrace offers lovely views over the village to the mountains and ski slopes beyond---a great spot on those sunny mountain days.

PLease note that Chanterelle is a non smoking chalet though guests are free to smoke on the outside balcony/terrace.

PLease note that Chalet Chanterelle is sold on a catered basis and that prices are per person per week A one third deposit is required at the time of booking. The balance of your holiday payment is due 8 weeks before your holiday begins All linen is provided but guests are asked to bring their own towels

NB: Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion. Prices for catered Chalet Chanterelle are per adult per week for 7 nights accommodation with breakfast, afternoon tea and a three course evening meal with wine provided on 6 days. On staff day off breakfast and afternoon tea will be laid out for you and guests eat out at one of the many, good value, local restaurants. (All prices in £s). Children under the age of 12 will receive a £50 discount from the usual adult price. NB--SHORT BREAKS can be arranged--eg/Sunday to Thursday--contact us for prices.
