The Rhone / French Alps / Savoie region
The forests and glaciers of the linked ski areas of La Plagne and Les Arcs create Paradiski making it one of the largest ski domains in the world. The Vanoise Express links Les Coches to Plan Peisey in Les Arcs giving access to 425km of runs allowing skiers of all levels to enjoy the variety of skiing and boarding available. You will definitely be spoilt for choice! A 2 minute walk from our apartment, one chairlift up to Plan Bois and an easy ski down to the Vanois Express brings you to the door of Paradiski. With 2 skiable glaciers as well as some of the highest peaks (Bellecôte in La Plagne at 3416m and Aiguille Rouge in Les Arcs at 3226m) there is guaranteed skiing all season long.
La Plagne has a wide and varied ski area with many kilometres of easy blue runs combined with the more challenging terrain of the Roche de Mio and surrounding off-piste. La Plagne makes a great destination for a family skiing holiday or for a mixed ability group skiing holiday.
Les Coches is north-facing and has a number of snow-making machines so almost guaranteeing snow way beyond Easter. You can ski or snowboard back to the village and there are some great runs home to Les Coches. Pistes such as “Dos Rond” and “Leschaux” above the tree line can be very good for the ego before choosing between several blues and reds through the trees to get you home.

La Plagne / Les Coches area
The resort of Les Coches is ideal for those who enjoy a traditional setting, it is a charming, compact and friendly village, surrounded by trees and built in the Savoyard style with natural wood and stone. There is a pretty and atmospheric village square in the centre of the village, only 2-3 minutes walk from the apartment. Within the village you will find a choice of restaurants and bars as well as a bakery, deli and supermarket. If you fancy a change of scenery then Montchavin is just 3km further down the road. Here you will find a traditional alpine village offering a mixture of restaurants and bars set amidst local houses and animal barns.
Non-skiing activities are diverse and include a natural ice skating rink, dog sledding, snowshoeing, paragliding, walking excursions with guides, pub-bars, cinema (Montchavin), and discothèque for nightlife (Montchavin).
Once the skiers and snowboarders have gone home and the snow has melted, lush green meadows appear below the white snow-capped mountains and the clear blue skies, creating truly stunning surroundings. There is a massive transformation not only in the appearance of the valley but also in the activities taking place. With a huge selection of options to choose from La Plagne becomes a giant natural adventure playground, and you can be as daring or as relaxed about it as you like! Activities include mountain biking, hiking, paragliding, rafting, canoeing, archery, volleyball, tennis, table tennis, basketball, swimming and iceskating. There is also a club for children (French) with organised activities.

We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment. Facilities excellent, great access for all local amenties and piste. Kids enjoyed the games. Anna and Colin April 2009
Apartment the best we've ever stayed in. All communications/instructions excellent. Boys enjoyed the DVDs and PS2 especially Buzz & SSX - thanks Steve & Karen April 2009
Thanks for allowing us to use your fantastic apartment. In 10 years of travelling to the Alps your apartment was up there with the best of them. The views were amazing and we were treated with a sunset on the final evening!! Sam, Sam, Dan & Sam, March 2009
Fantastic time. Apartment was everything we had hoped and more. The ski area is amazing. Thanks for everything. You made our holiday really special. Marcus & Lucy March 2009
We really enjoyed our stay in Les Coches. The town is small and very nice, quite charming, and at the same time we could go skiing on a very large scale. We appreciate it. Concerning your apartment we really loved it. The building is nice, the apartment is very comfortable and nicely furnished. We could compare with the apartment of our friends. We all prefered yours that has more space directly under the roof, and it is a more cosy thanks to the way you decorated it. For example, the accessories in the kitchen are more complete. Catherine (France), February 2009
Returned home following a great week away - loads of skiing each day and then total relaxation in the evening, courtesy of such a welcoming apartment. We can't think of anything that the apartment lacked. We found it really comfortable, great views, would have loved to have stayed longer. Many thanks, I'm sure we'll want to return. Mark & Sue February 2009 (rebooked for 2010)
Had a brilliant time here. The apartment is lovely - as good as anything we've stayed in, in 25yrs of skiing holidays. Love the resort, there's so much to cover and the snow was excellent. Thanks for your hospitatility Debs. Rick, Gareth & Hugh February 2009 (Rebooked for 2010)
This apartment is just as described! New in winter 2008, it still feels clean and fresh. It is certainly more spacious than many alpine apartments. Simple and elegant decoration and furnishing give it a very modern feel. It is high up with great views from the balconies and easy access from the top road. Great TV/DVD and games consol with movies, music and games to keep you entertained. Great customer service from the owner. We were very happy with your apartment - I'd say you got one of the best in the complex. Nice views being high up and on the corner. All in all I would definitely recommend this accommodation. Rick & Sue, January 2009 (4 weeks) (rebooked for 2010)
We had a fantastic holiday - the apartment was excellent with a great location (the view !!). The kids had a great time and we'd thouroughly recommend both resort and apartment to anyone. David & Caroline Keegan 2008
Had a fantastic week - views from the balcony are splendid. Thankyou for all your assistance with organising our trip - all the email correspondence was much appreciated!! Wishing many more holidays here! Iona 2008
