Chalet Versoye has been built in the traditional alpine style and the interior is finished in wood giving a warm and relaxed atmosphere. It is in a great location in the picturesque mountain village of Montchavin, an authentic Savoyarde village and a vibrant ski station, at the heart of the Paradiski area. The views of the Tarentaise valley are fantastic with Mont Blanc taking the centre stage.
The chalet is just 50 metres from the cable car and piste and only 250 meters from the nearest chair lift with easy access to ski hire, ski school meeting points, bars, restaurants, the crèche and the night-club. Only 20 minutes from the link to Les Arcs.

Heart of the Paradiski Area (La Plagne/Les Arcs) 420kms The ski area of Montchavin-Les Coches, La Plagne has something for everybody.
For beginners there are two areas specifically designed for you in Montchavin-Les Coches with nursery slopes separated from, but next to, one of the tree lined runs, which leads back to the chalet. A network of snow cannons on the lower slopes ensures that you will normally be able to ski back home.
The wide blues and reds of the Paradiski area are perfect for intermediates and the blacks on the Bellecôte Glacier and Aiguille Rouge are testing enough for any advanced skier or boarder. The famous off-piste route down the North Face of the Bellecôte Peak is well worth experiencing - you will need a qualified guide to show the way, we can vouch for the fact that it is awsome.
This is a great area for boarders, beginners and experts alike. There are some fantastic cruisy blues to get you started, a great off-piste playground, half pipe, board parks and boarder cross.
The size of the Paradiski area (one of the largest ski areas in the world) means there are plenty of day trips visiting other linked ski stations such as Les Arcs, Villaroger, Montalbert and Champagny. If 420km isn’t enough for you we are also only a 50 minutes drive from both Val d’Isere/Tignes and the 3 Vallees.
La Plagne / Montchavin area
Chalet Versoye is perfectly positioned in the centre of the village of Montchavin, an authentic Savoyarde village and a vibrant ski station, at the heart of the Paradiski area.
The chalet is perfectly located 150m from the piste/telecabin, with easy access to ski hire, ski school, bars, restaurants, the crèche and the night-club. Access by vehicle to the centre of the village is strictly controlled which means there is very little noise to disturb the tranquillity.
How to get there
Train - There are several options; Eurostar day and overnight services and TGV service. Eurostar (costs around £179 return) which arrives in Bourg St Maurice at 18.22 local time. We offer a complementary transfer from Bourg St Maurice and Landry (20/10 mins); this transfer is available twice a day at times agreed.
If you get the Eurostar you need a ticket to Bourg St Maurice (20mins from the chalet). If you get the snow train or TGV you need a ticket to Landry (10 mins from chalet). Do not get off at Aime as you can get caught up in traffic on the way to the resort. For the Snowtrain get a couchette away from the part of the train with the disco! Eurostar overnight train there are no couchettes.
Coach - skiers on a budget can book the coach service from Eurolines, which has return fares from London Victoria coach station to the Alps, from £115 per person. Details: www.eurolines.co.uk

Other ways of getting to us from the airport include coach, train, hire car - we have full details.
Ferry - www.speedferries.com, 50 min crossing - only problem with this service is that they cancel if it is too rough. www.norfolkline.com, www.poferries.co.uk, www.seafrance.com, www.directferries.com (gives all routes).
Car: Don't forget your snow chains.
Please be aware that the traffic in and out of the valley can be very heavy. When arriving it is a good idea to try and aim to be through Albertville by 11am. When departing either leave around 8.30am or after 4pm.
IMPORTANT : do not follow the signs up to La Plagne as this adds about 1.30 hours onto your journey. Follow signs for Aime, Landry and then Montchavin, Les Coches.

Further details outdoors: The village of Montchavin has a Jacuzzi and sauna suite, coffee bars, shops and a small cinema showing original version films a couple of times a week.

The price quoted is per person and includes 7 nights accommodation and breakfast and 6 nights afternoon tea and 3-course evening meal including wine. Children between 5 and 14 years old will be half price if sharing a room with 2 full prices when available. Children under 5 yrs will be £90 if sharing with 2 fully paid guests. Single person room occupancy will be subject to a supplement of £180.
We supply all the bed linen and towels. Outdoor shoes are not allowed in the chalet so it is a good idea to bring slippers or indoor shoes. Please note that this is a non-smoking chalet, however you are welcome to smoke on the balconies.

I'm very sorry it's taken so long for me to get back to you but things were a bit mad on return to the Uk and it then slipped my mind.
However, I'd just like to thank you both. Everyone said they really enjoyed the holiday (even the partial skiers) and all were very impressed with the level of service they got, and the whole set-up in general. So again, many thanks for a great week's skiing.
Also, please pass on our thanks to Seb & Yannick for the skiing lessons (again, only good things were said).

Just wanted to let you know what a great time we had in Chalet Evelyne over Easter. You were the perfect hosts and really looked after us well with good humour and patience...particularly when Lydia lost her ski pass!
Gemma and Mark are a fantastic couple whose laid back Aussie style can't help but rub off on you. Their food was delicious and knocked spots off the food from ........... last year!! They are a credit to ski-lasource and we wish them every joy in their future travels.
