The cottage is within 5 mins drive of the local village where you will sample the day to day life of the local people and also fantastic local bars and restaurants or visit the local historical town of Orotava where there is an abundance of museums historical buildings cafes restaurants and great shops .

The Tenerife region
Tenerife is the largest and the most popular of the Canary Islands .Its all year round warm climate enables you to enjoy the sunshine whenever you wish,The north of Tenerife is the most beautiful with the lush green Orotava Valley where the quaint village of La Perdoma is situated so typical of the little Canarian villages .Not far away from Orotava is the National Park of Mount Teide which has recently been awarded the coveted title of World Heritage Site by UNESCO.You cannot visit Tenerife without including a visit to Loro Parque the world famous parrot park which includes an amazing sea lion show ,Orca show ,dolphin show ,aquarium with shark tunnel and the worlds largest penguinarium with a reproduction Antarctic climate .
La Orotava area
Only five minutes drive away is this beautiful historical town with magnificent and monumental architectural structures .The Concepcion Parish Church is also a national monument.The Casa de los Balcones is a jewel of the islands traditional architecture.In Orotava town one can also find the Documentation Research Centre of Spanish and American Crafts .In the town centre is the Victoria Garden with many paths amid beautiful flowers and trees .Also Plazas to sit and watch the world go by .Not a week goes by without a fiesta or a display of typical life either Dancing or music in the Plazas.Enjoy watching while you sample the local wine tapas or just coffee .

Ideally situated for walking in the Orotava Valley or further if you wish .Within 20 mins drive is the recently completed Buenavista Golf course. This is ideal accommodation for those wanting to cycle around the island !
