Located in the four star MMV Resort & Spa, about 6 km from the centre of Cannes and about 30km from Nice Airport, whether you want an active or a lazy holiday this bright and spacious self catering first floor 2 bedroom apartment offers the best of all worlds. Sleeping up to 6, the apartment is fully equipped and has all of the facilities that one would expect to make the perfect holiday. It has a spacious south facing terrace with wonderful views of the gardens and the Esterel mountains. The Resort covers an area of 7 hectares, is built around a natural lake (child safe) and is largely pedestrianised. There are exceptional facilities on site including a swimming pool, ping-pong tables, a tennis court, a multi-sport pitch, a boules playing surface and a play area for kids. There are bar, grill and restaurant facilities on site, as well as Spa facilities (available only during the Resort's opens season). The resort is adjacent to the Old Golf Course, and is within easy walking distance (about 1 km) of the nearest beach. Activities nearby include golf, crazy golf, sailing, jet-skiing, scuba diving, trekking, mountain biking and general sight-seeing. It is close to shops and is about a ten minute walk to the railway station making it an ideal base from which to see other Riviera attractions such as Nice, Monte Carlo and Monaco. It is also within easy reach of many excellent restaurants.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur region
Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur is one of the most popular holiday regions in the south of France. The region covers a large area from the Mediterranean Sea up to the French Alps. The Provence includes the French Riviera where the apartment is located and is famous for its sunny weather (it's reputed to have more than 300 days of sunshine every year!), colourful countryside, tradition, wine, food, and language (French -Provençal). Its main attractions include the principal cities, many of which can be easily accessed by road or rail from the apartment, and the numerous extremely pretty villages which can be easily explored by car or bike. A visit to at least one of these villages (I would recommend St Paul de Vence) is a must!
If you love the sea and beautiful landscapes the Cannes Mandelieu area is perfect for you! Located on the outskirts of Cannes, between the hills of the Esterel and the wooded vales of the Tanneron, the area is famed for the breezes of the Mediterranean, bringing you the scents of the pines and mimosa while you cool your feet in the azure blue sea! All year long, the town of Mandelieu-La-Napoule which is a stone's throw from the apartment, organises a myriad of events and festivals including the famous Festival of the Mimosas in February and countless sporting, cultural, nautical and artistic events... More than enough to keep any family busy and content...
The area is also rich in sandy beaches, and the harbour facilities are exceptional with six harbours completely dedicated to sailing. Water-based recreation abounds throughout the year thanks to the particularly favourable climate.
Beach, water sport and sailing combines to make the area an excellent nautical destination.
There is also direct access to the Forest massifs of Esterel and Tanneron, which makes it a great destination for "green tourists".
With the local parks of San Peyre and Esterel, and access by regular sea link (from April till the end of September) to the Island of Ste Marguerite, and the forest of the Grand Duc, areas for walks and hikes are numerous. Routes and guided walks are suggested all year long by the Tourist Office.
It is in Mandelieu-La Napoule that the first golf course of Côte d'Azur, the "Old Course" was created in 189, and it is this course that the Resort is adjacent to. With the "Riviera Golf of Barbossi" inaugurated a century later, three courses (two 18 holes and one 9 holes) make of a major golf destination of the Riviera.
Cannes, which is a few minutes away by car, is one of the world's most prestigious cities.
With its exceptional sunshine, its luxury hotels, excellent restaurants, colourful casinos, historic city centre, sandy beaches and magnificent bay, Cannes has all the features and assets envied by seaside and tourist resorts all over the world.
The city boasts 280 restaurants (one of which has been awarded Michelin stars: Palme d'Or**), 3 casinos, 700 shops carrying all the notable brands and 10 night clubs.

"As advertised, a well situated and equipped family apartment"
As the first person to review this apartment, I'll make it as comprehensive as possible :-) We were a group of 4 adults, 2 couples. This is a well equipped and appointed 2 bedroom apartment located in the MMV Resort on the 1st floor (so no-one looking in your window) close to the hotels large family pool, and a short walk across the lake on wood platforms to the resort exit. We always took some bread to feed the turtles, ducks and fish. So lets start with the apartment: Bedroom 1 (double or twin) had plenty of hanging and wardrobe space and a comfortable double bed with direct access to the balcony/terrace. Bedroom 2 (double or twin) had limited hanging space because it contains the hot water tank, washing machine and safe, however there is further hanging space in the hallway. Kitchen/Dining/Lounge: big enough for 4, but small for a group of 6 if you are using the sofa-bed. The kitchen had a small area for food preparation but a large family fridge and dishwasher plus all the other stuff (toaster, kettle etc) and fully equipped. The outside south facing covered balcony was really convenient and we used the large table and chairs often, and you get direct sun in the afternoons. Neither the bath or shower rooms had working extractor fans, and without windows steamed up easily, and the same for the toilet so take an air freshener! Both bath and shower rooms shared the same water tank and so it was not possible for 2 people to be showering at the same time, or to flush the toilet or use the taps in the kitchen but this was not a problem for us, but could be for others (a common problem). The air conditioning worked just right if you keep the doors and windows closed with either the curtains drawn or shutters lowered when out of the apartment. It was not blasting out and for me I really liked the fact you couldn't hear the units, a pet hate of mine!. We had a car and were pleased that the apartment came with private underground secure parking and a working lift (the rubbish bins were also located here). Being underground kept the car cool in the sweltering heat! We used the onsite tennis court daily, and you book this at the reception of the hotel. The internet access was lets say sporadic but hey.... we are on holiday so it wasn't an absolute necessary for us. The agent who met us to hand over the keys was on time and easy to communicate with via SMS and mobile phone. All emails that I sent to the owner with questions were answered quickly. It was only a short walk to the sandy beaches (there were a few and one protected even from roaming Jelly Fish and perfect for the kids) which had working showers, volleyball areas, and jet ski's etc for the adventurous. You can walk either on the road or along the waterway, which was beautifully lit at night time. We had bikes so it was only 5 mins. It is a family destination. If you are a couple looking for a relaxing holiday by the pool then this is not the place for you. The only downside on the location was that it was right next to Cannes Mandelieu Airport and the small jet planes took off directly over the pool which was quite loud/noisy. The owners had the foresight to leave cleaning solvents and materials including a vacuum so I was able to keep the apartment clean. Mandelieu La Napoule area was really lovely and clean and we all felt quite safe with lots of really lovely restaurants ranging in prices so something for everyone.
Overall we are really pleased with the apartment, its location and the set up and would definitely book again. It was great value for money. I personally would like to thank the owners for making it possible for us to stay there.

"Great apartment and location for holiday with kids"
This is a very nice clean and well equipped apartment in a lovely complex near the beach, so it had everything we needed. The resort had a lake with fish, ducks and turtles so my kids were kept entertained for hours.
The beach is just 10 mins walk away along a river and one of the best we have been to in the South of France. Would highly recommend staying here.
