The property is fully air-conditioned with good sized fitted bedrooms. The spacious modern kitchen is very well equipped, there is a good sized family bathroom and an en suite to the master bedroom.
The main feature of the garden is a wonderful kidney shaped swimming pool with Roman steps at the shallow end for the younger members of your party to enjoy and rooftop solarium which is the perfect place for private sunbathing, the garden is completely private and is surrounded by a lovely Spanish style wall there are also double iron gates for secure parking.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The lively towns of Santa Pola and Guardamar del Segura are close by (10 mins drive respectively). Santa Pola is home to one of the largest fishing fleets on the Eastern Mediterranean coast. Watch the boats come into the harbour and off load their daily catch. Go to one of the many fish stalls located right on the harbour and purchase some excellent fresh fish.
Guardamar is built around the river Segura, it has lots of nice shops, a beautiful town square and a fantastic beach. Take a walk around the pine forest trails or bring the children to the park and see the roaming peacocks, ducks and terrapins.
The beautiful Ancient and Historic, University City Of Elche, which has over 300.000 palm trees in and around the streets and parks, is only a 20 minute drive inland. Alicante City with its fortified castle overlooking the bustling harbour, beach and promenade area, is a must to visit. There is so much to see and do, plenty of culture and shopping with great gastronome.
The La Marina / San Fulgencio area
La Marina is an urbanization very close to Guardamar and Santa Pola and is just 25 minutes drive south of Alicante airport and 45 north of Murcia airport. There are four commercial areas to choose from on La Marina, all of which are fully serviced by regular buses, taxis, supermarkets, banks, clinics, bars, restaurants, and local tour operators.
La Marina also has it´s very own Police station, ambulance centre and tourist information office, English speaking dentist surgery and medical centres. There is an abundance of restaurants to choose from including traditional Spanish fare / tapas, English, German, Italian, Dutch, Indian and of course Chinese.
Numerous bars, supermarkets and shops within easy walking distance. Some of the bars have discos or pub games / quizes. Others are more quiet for a relaxing drink and chat. Also on the urbanization, there are two communal pool areas with water slides, ideal for families and small children, with cafes and children's play areas. Other activities include tennis courts and bowls for you to enjoy.
The excellent and renowned white sandy beach of La Marina (which has received a Blue Flag award) is approximately 2 kilometres away and has a great beach bar and restaurant. There is a regular bus service to the beach from the village in the summer months. For those who don´t drive, a local community bus is at hand taking passengers all around the locality, and the bus stop is just around the corner from Villa Azucena.
We have an excellent large local market here on Thursdays and Sundays selling everything from, shoes, handbags, leathers, clothes and fresh food.
