Home description
This is a brand new, fully equipped villa, ideal for couples or families wishing to share a relaxing holiday. It is situated in a small gated complex with a shared pool. This south facing property, is attractively furnished to a high standard with all mod cons.
The villa is situated in a quiet location with uninterrupted views of nearby mountains and El Hondo nature reserve, with resident flamingoes. The shared pool is in the centre of the complex, and is totally secure with private entrance. Local shops, bars and restaurants are within easy reach, and mile upon mile of immaculate uncrowded beaches, fringed with sand dunes and pine forests, are 5 minutes drive from the villa.
The self contained underbuild with its own shower room and entrance is perfect for teenagers. There are 4 single beds/2 double beds and a single Z bed.
There are several golf courses close by, including La Marquesa (5 minutes drive) and Las Ramblas, Royal Compomar, Villa Martin La Finca within 30 minutes drive. There are bus services to neighbouring towns. eg Alicante, Benidorm, Torrevieja.
Ideally based for touring the coast, as well as inland, to places of interest, like Elche and Guadalest.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
La Marina is situated off the N332 Alicante to Cartegena road and is a quiet town with easy access to many of the coastal towns in the Costa Blanca, such as Torrevieja, Alicante and Guardama. Inland the towns of Orihuela, Elche, Guadalest and Murcia are interesting places to visit for a cultural day out.
The lovely sandy beaches are surrounded by sand dunes, bordered by a pine forest which is a popular place for lunchtime picnics out of the midday sun. In addition, the beach bars and restaurants overlooking the sea provide the perfect setting for that cool lunchtime beer or evening meal, with local sea food.
La Marina is right on the mediterranean coast, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The climate is sunny most of the year, and rainy days are rare. Even in the winter you rarely require more than a light jacket!
For the more energetic types, Tera Mitica water park is only 45 mins drive.
Alicante airport is accessible from most UK airports providing stress free travel and cheap flights, especially out of season. Even if you arrive late, the villa is an easy 20 mins drive after you land, which makes the perfect start to your holiday.
For golf lovers there are several courses in the area, including Rojales, (5 mins drive) or La Finca, Villa Martin, Royal Compomar and Las Ramblas (20-30 mins drive.)
La Marina area
La Marina urbanisation is a very quiet area, but the property is within easy reach of supermarkets, shops, banks, bars, restaurants, markets, pharmacy and clubs etc. The local tourist office provides English speaking staff who are on hand to answer your questions or provide maps etc. (There is a large selection of literature in the villa for your information.)
Our favourite, is the local El Horreo bar, 2 mins walk from the Villa, which provides typical spanish food and entertainment, and the down hill walk home is ideal!
Although a car is not essential, it is advisable to enable you to make the most of your holiday. However, during the summer there is a very efficient bus service to beaches, and local towns.
Market days are an important way of life and there are many to choose from to get your local produce or that special bargain. La Marina has a market twice a week but there are bigger ones in Almoradi and Guardamar which we would recommend.
Guardamar del segura is the nearest big town which has an excellent beach front and many shops and restaurants. If you like flamenco, then, during the summer our favourite is in Rojales. (Details in the Villa literature)
Torrevieja has an interesting Marina and a water park in the summer months. It also has a large beach front with shops and bars and a water park.
Santa Pola has a ferry with a glass bottom boat which takes visitors to the beautiful island of Tabarca where you can eat locally caught fish in typical spanish run restaurants. A must for all visitors!
20 mins away, the town of Elche has the reputation of having the most palm trees in the country as well as being the host for one of the biggest Moors and Christians celebrations. It is also an excellent shopping centre.
How to get there
- Fly to either Alicante or Murcia airports. Villa is 20 mins south of Alicante (24kms) and 40 mins north of Murcia (60kms) Both journeys very straightforward. - Cheap airlines operate to both airports. eg EasyJet, Monarch, BMI Baby, Ryanair, Thomson Fly. - Collection can be arranged from either airport. eg 30Euros from Alicante. - Car hire is available from either airport with several based in La Marina. Recommendations can be given. - Local taxis readily available. 40 Euros to Alicante. 50 Euros to Murcia.

Dining and sun lounging facilities and BBQ. - First floor bedrooms have well furnished south facing balconies. - Entrance to underbuild is to the side of the property. - We have provided everything you need for a day at the beach, including beach chairs, cool bag, beach toys and of course, buckets and spades! - Security shutters and grills. - Security alarm and safe.
