This is a fully equipped villa, ideal for couples or families wishing to share a relaxing holiday. It is situated in a small gated complex with a shared pool. This south facing property, is attractively furnished to a high standard with all mod cons. New for 2012 is digital TV, internet and telephone. This well appointed spacious property has three double bedrooms, two bathrooms with travel cot available. In addition the attractive underbuild with shower room en suite sleeps a further 4 people in various combinations of singles and doubles as required. This villa is ideal for 2 families to share comfortably without having to use the living room for extra beds. Air condition/heating is installed for your comfort in the main house.
The villa is situated in a quiet location with uninterrupted views of nearby mountains and El Hondo nature reserve, with resident flamingoes. The shared pool is in the centre of the complex, and is totally secure with private entrance. Local shops, bars and restaurants are within easy reach, and mile upon mile of immaculate uncrowded beaches, fringed with sand dunes and pine forests, are 5 minutes drive from the villa.
The self contained underbuild with its own shower room and entrance is perfect for teenagers. There are 4 single beds/2 double beds and a single Z bed. Portable fans and air conditioning unit for the summer, and mobile heater for the winter months, are provided.
There are several golf courses close by, including La Marquesa (5 minutes drive) and Las Ramblas, Royal Compomar, Villa Martin La Finca within 30 minutes drive. There are bus services to neighbouring towns. eg Alicante, Benidorm, Torrevieja.
Ideally based for touring the coast, as well as inland, to places of interest, like Elche and Guadalest.

Spacious lounge and dining area with 2 sofas, and dining table with open plan marble stair case. Bookcase of paperbacks and games/jigsaws, TV and DVD player with DVDs, CD player with assorted CDs, all in a homely atmosphere with tasteful lighting. The main villa is fully installed with air conditioning and heating for all year round use.

- Ground floor bedroom with double bed, chest of drawers and fitted wardrobe and shower room.
Marbled stair case leads to the first floor where you will find:
- Master bedroom with double bed and fitted wardrobe, with patio doors leading to a private south facing balcony with views of the nature reserve and mountains; quality furniture for your comfort. For families travelling with a baby/infant, there is room here for a cot or Z bed, both of which are available. A lockable safe is provided.
- First bedroom with double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers, and patio doors to private south facing balcony, with views of the nature reserve and mountains; two sun loungers for your comfort.
- Luxury fully tiled bathroom with vanity unit, bath, shower and bidet.
- Further marble staircase leads to large solarium with panoramic views of El Hondo nature reserve and mountains, dining table with umbrella, sun longers and BBQ. Here you will also find discretely hidden, the washing machine and drying facilities.

At the front of the villa there is a private south facing seating area with table and chairs.
- There are both double gates and a single pedestrian gate to the property with parking directly outside the villa.
- The villa is surrounded by screened, wrought iron railings and so is secure for small children to play.
- Rooftop Solarium with panoramic views of El Hondo nature reserve and distant mountains provide an excellent backdrop for a glass of wine while watching the sun set. Dining and sun lounging facilities and BBQ.
- First floor bedrooms have well furnished south facing balconies with wonderful views.
- Entrance to underbuild is to the side of the property.
- We have provided everything you need for a day at the beach, including beach chairs, beach bag with picnic set, beach rugs and mats, umbrellas, beach toys, inflatable boat and of course, buckets and spades!

- Welcome pack available on arrival for a small charge. Ideal if you are arriving late and need a cup of tea or bottle of wine.
- English speaking representative available to answer any questions.
- Due to an increase in electricity charges, excessive use of the air conditioning/heating will be monitored and this may incur an additional charge. A weekly, additional charge is made. (Clients are requested to turn this off when the property is empty.)
- Cleaning charge from 50 Euros , payable to local representative. (Couple live directly behind the property.)
- We have tried to create a home from home and would ask our guests to respect it as such.

- Strictly no smoking except on terraces. Please dispose of cigarette ends responsibly.
- Refundable breakages deposit of £100 required before arrival, to be refunded within 28 days of your departure. (Subject to satisfactory property inspection)
- Deposit of £100 per week on booking and balance of rental 6 weeks before arrival.
Payment can be made by cheque or electronic transfer.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region


La Marina is situated off the N332 Alicante to Cartegena road and is a quiet town with easy access to many of the coastal towns in the Costa Blanca, such as Torrevieja, Alicante and Guardama. Inland the towns of Orihuela, Elche, Guadalest and Murcia are interesting places to visit for a cultural day out.
The lovely blue flag sandy beaches are surrounded by sand dunes, bordered by a pine forest which is a popular place for lunchtime picnics out of the midday sun. In addition, the beach bars and restaurants overlooking the sea provide the perfect setting for that cool lunchtime beer or evening meal, with local sea food.
La Marina is right on the mediterranean coast, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The climate is sunny most of the year, and rainy days are rare. Even in the winter you rarely require more than a light jacket!
For the more energetic types, Tera Mitica water park is only 45 mins drive.
For a view of historical Spain, a visit to Guardalest in the mountains is a must, with breath taking views over the mountains and lakes below.
Alicante airport is accessible from most UK airports providing stress free travel and cheap flights, especially out of season. Even if you arrive late, the villa is an easy 20 mins drive after you land, which makes the perfect start to your holiday.
For golf lovers there are several courses in the area, including Rojales, (5 mins drive) or La Finca, Villa Martin, Royal Compomar and Las Ramblas (20-30 mins drive.)
The La Marina area
La Marina urbanisation is a very quiet area, but the property is within easy reach of supermarkets, shops, banks, bars, restaurants, markets, pharmacy and clubs etc. The local tourist office provides English speaking staff who are on hand to answer your questions or provide maps etc. (There is a large selection of literature in the villa for your information.)
Although a car is not essential, it is advisable to enable you to make the most of your holiday. However, during the summer there is a very efficient bus service to beaches, and local towns. A tourist train has been provided to take people around the urbanisation.
Market days are an important way of life and there are many to choose from to get your local produce or that special bargain. La Marina has a market twice a week but there are bigger ones in Almoradi and Guardamar which we would recommend.
Guardamar del segura is the nearest big town which has an excellent beach front and many shops and restaurants. If you like flamenco, then, during the summer our favourite is in Rojales. (Details in the Villa literature)
Torrevieja has an interesting Marina and a water park in the summer months. It also has a large beach front with shops and bars and a water park.
Santa Pola has a ferry with a glass bottom boat which takes visitors to the beautiful island of Tabarca where you can eat locally caught fish in typical spanish run restaurants. A must for all visitors!
20 mins away, the town of Elche has the reputation of having the most palm trees in the country as well as being the host for one of the biggest Moors and Christians celebrations. It is also an excellent shopping centre.

- Car hire is available from either airport with several based in La Marina. Recommendations can be given.
- Local taxis readily available. 40 Euros to Alicante. 50 Euros to Murcia.
