About the home

PLEASE contact me if your dates are unavailable as my friend has a similar villa for rent.

This is an attractive detached villa in a gated development with a safe and secure communal pool overlooking the El Hondo Nature Reserve. The villa has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and can sleep up to 8 people plus a baby (travel cot provided) with a sunroof solarium ideal for sun-worshippers or just to get away from it all.

It is in a quiet location and is excellent for COUPLES AND FAMILIES. There is a supermarket (English and Spanish Products) bars, restaurants, cafes and an information centre and even a fish and chip shop.

The closest safe beach is approximately 6 minutes drive and has a restaurant/cafe on the beach front that also sells drinks, ice creams, etc.

The villa comprises on the :-
1. Ground Floor ~
A spacious open plan lounge with 1 three seater settee and 1 settee/sofa bed seating 6 comfortably, a 32" Television with Sky and a DVD Player. There is also a game console with games to keep the children and adults amused. A small hallway leads to a kitchen with all the modern facilities including a dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave.

There is a bedroom with 2 single beds, wardrobe and a side table. A shower room complete with WC, sink with mirror and overhead light and a shower cubicle.

2. A marble staircase leads to:-
First Floor - The master bedroom with a double bed, side tables, mirrored large wardrobe and a patio door which leads to a balcony with table and chairs and views overlooking El Hondo Nature Reserve.

The second bedroom has a single bed with a bed underneath,a side table and a large wardrobe and a patio door leading to a balcony with table and chairs .

There is also a bathroom with WC, sink with overhead mirror and light,, bath with a shower and bidet.

3. A staircase leads to the:-
Solarium with sun loungers (a brilliant place for sun worshippers) and views over the El Hondo Nature Reserve. Sit with a glass of wine and watch the sun go down, Heaven!!!!

Air conditioning/Heating is available at an extra cost.

The washing machine and airer is also housed in the utility area to the left on the solarium.

To the front of the villa is a paved patio area with a table, chairs and parasol.
The villa is walled with a gate, therefore, it is safe and secure for children to play
The car can be loaded and unloaded outside the villa. At all other times it must be parked just outside the gated area.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

The Costa Blanca is famous for its tourism. Once upon a time the places along the coast were mostly just tiny fishing villages but with the fantastic climate and beaches it attracted tourists and the area boomed.

The Costa Blanca has over 100 kms of sandy beaches and rocky coves and many of the beaches have the coveted European Blue Flag signifying cleanliness and safe bathing.

You can sit and relax outside in the bars and restaurants because of the wonderful all-year round climate. It is simply a wonderful place in which to enjoy life and feel rejuvenated and refreshed.

The La Marina / San Fulgencio area

La Marina Urbanization offers a wide selection of shops, bars and restaurants. The nearest bar/restaurant is El Horreo which is a 5 minute walk from the villa. There is a commercial centre, about a 15 minute walk, with a supermarket, shops, bars and restaurants. There is also a tourist information office which is opposite the supermarket.

The nearest Blue Flag beach is Playa La Marina wtth 11km of golden sand and a beachside restaurant.

Guardamar is a larger more popular resort with an excellent beach and a promenade with cafes, bars and restaurants. It has a large market on a Wednesday and an evening market around the park in the summer months.

Torrevieja is a 15 minute drive and has plenty of shops, a Carrefour Hypermarket and a modern shopping mall called Habaneras. There is also a large market on a Friday and a pleasant marina and a waterpark open in the summer months.

For golfers there is an excellent choice to choose from:
• La Marquesa at Rojales ~ 10 minutes drive
• La Finca at Algorfa
• La Rambles at Villamartin ~ 20 mintues drive
• La Manga (approximately 45 minutes drive)

Parks and Attractions:-
• Water Park at Rojales (Aqua-Park) and Torrevieja (Aquapolis)
• Safari Park – Rio Elche at Elche with Exotic Animals
• Theme Park – Terra Mitica in Benidorm
• Aquarium – Acuario at Santa Polo
• Go Karting – off the N332
• Boat Trip to Tabarca Island from Santa Polo or Torrevieja
• Fishing

Cheap airlines from the UK fly to both airports, i.e. Ryanair, Monarch, BMI Baby, ThomsonFly, Jet2 and EasyJet.

“Dissapointing” We stayed at this property for 4 days was very dissappointed when we arrived we paid extra for the heating as it was beginning of Febuary we expected the heating to be on when we arrived but it was not so it was cold and damp. The heating in the front room didnot work properly eventually the guy got it going so we had to keep it on all day as it had not been serviced, in the main bedroom we had to clean the filter out ourselves to get it working then to my dissappointment i was stopped money out my deposit for extra heating so will not be going to this property again VERY DISSAPPOINTED. Response: We are sorry to hear of their complaints and this is the first time we have had a disappointing review. We always try to put the customer first and hope that they enjoy their stay in our villa. It was just unfortunate that there were problems with the heating system, we will arrange to have it serviced on our next visit. As for the costing we estimate a charge for the use of electricity hoping people use it sensibly.

“Lovely Villa” We stayed at the villa for one week in mid October with our three year old daughter. We had a lovely stay and the villa is very well equipped with all modern appliances. English TV and the Nintendo Cube were a great hit with our daughter and provided great entertainment.There is also a selection of DVD's and books available for guests to use. Owners have also provided a detailed pack on the local area to read through and proved very helpful to us. The communal pool was cold at the time of year we visited but lovely to sit around and soak up the sun. Location in a gated road was quiet and secure and felt very safe. Beautiful beaches in Guardamar and nearby La Marina.A car is recommended to get the most from your holiday. Thanks Denise for the use of your holiday home.

“Another amazing stay!” We had another fabulous time out there our third in fact. Uve put some great additions to the villa with the amazing new mattress and the new sun loungers, they came in handy for the beach. the weather was fab and according to the locals the hottest october in years so we picked a great time to go. All the bars and restaurants were still open which was good and we found out some new places, just a shame it had to end!! great neighbours in the street who once again were extremely helpfull.

“Fantastic Villa, great location” Fourth time going to La Marina and the third time we have stayed at this villa - already booked up last year so we couldnt have it! Villa has everything you need. Great to have the dish washer and washing machine and DVD for when children bored of sun bathing. Fantastic sun terrace with very good quality sun beds. Lovely neighbours who are always very helpful - some live there all-year-round and more than happy to suggest places to visit/eat etc. Good sized pool that never seems to get over-crowded. You really do need a car to make best use of the holiday.We use Carhire 3000 and never had a problem with them. Nearest beach (La Marina) only 15 mins away - either get there early to get parking space or arrive 3/3.30 pm when a little quieter but still plenty of sun shine. Nearest supermarket less than 5 min drive, bigger supermarket 10 mins away and both provide everything you could posisbly need. Recommended restaurants - Steak House (Patagonia), Grill House, Bonnies and for great fish & chips - Our Plaice. Plenty of bars around the the town and there is a 'local' 5 mins walk from villa. Very Spanish and encourages you to at least try and ask for your drinks/food in Spanish. Overall, highly recommended.

PLEASE NOTE:

We will reserve dates on request for up to 48 hours, after which a non-refundable deposit of £100 per week will be required.

The balance along with a £100 deposit against breakages is then required 8 weeks before the start of the holiday. The breakages deposit will be refunded within 2 weeks of departure subject to a satisfactory property inspection.

Cancellation ~ the deposit and holiday costs, once paid, are non-refundable ~ you are recommended to take out a comprehensive insurance policy against this unfortunate eventuality.

There is a charge for Changeover/Cleaning of â?¬60.00 for up to 6 people, and for groups of more than 6 the charge will be an extra â?¬10.00 per person up to 8 max, payable to our Agent on arrival, which is not included in the above rates.

If you require aircon/heating there is an additional charge of £40.00 (�50.00) per week under normal usage.. (This is to cover the cost of the electricity- the meter is read before and after your holiday).

if you would like the Internet facility it is 10euros per week paid to our neighbours @ No 28 who will give you the code.

Price includes all utilities (except where stated). Towels and Linen provided.

Please note that we do not provide Beach towels, please bring your own.

A travel cot is available - bring your own cot sheets.
