Casita Bonita our haven in the sun, was completed in 2005 and is located in an excellent position in a quiet residential area of Urb La Marina with sea views. Guests have the best of both worlds here as you can have a quiet and peaceful al fresco dinner on the private patio or dine in the hustle and bustle of the bars and restaurants only 10 minutes walk away. Couples or families would find the apartment just what they are looking for, a safe home from home.
As we live on the first floor above the apartment we are on hand to give you any assistance you may need to help you settle into your holiday. We will supply you with maps of the area and information on all places of interest. We will not intrude on your privacy and be confident that you will have a holiday to remember.
Casita Bonita is a modern ground floor air conditioned apartment, which is superbly furnished and equipped with many extras. There are mosquito blinds on doors and windows so on those hot and sultry days and nights you can leave the doors and windows open without getting unwelcome visitors. The large attractive lounge offers a very comfortable seating area with a leather suite where you may watch English TV, DVDs or listen to the many radio stations available for your pleasure.There are also family board games supplied for the little kids and big kids alike.
Bedroom one has a kingsize bed, and the second bedroom has two 3ft beds. There are fitted mirrored wardrobes and ceiling fans in both bedrooms. The full kitchen is very well equipped for those of you who may want to venture into the kitchen on holiday. For those of you who do not cook on holiday, I like your style.........You wont need to buy those enormous water bottles during your stay either as we have had a clever water filter installed so you can have drinking water on tap. The shower room has been very tastefully decorated to include a double walk in shower which will definitely leave you refreshed to enjoy your stay in Casita Bonita.
The communal swimming pool which is only 25 yds away welcomes you to bathe away all your tension to leave you to enjoy your carefree holiday in this little paradise in Spain.
La Marina has 4 main areas for bars, restaurants, banks, shops and supermarkets including, Lidl and Iceland and there is a local market every Thursday and Sunday for all your souvenirs. There are numerous towns and villages in the surrounding areas each with their own quaint charm which welcomes you with a special Spanish embrace.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
There are excellent road links to the Benidorm area to the north and to the La Manga and Cartagena area of the south. There are now many coach tours travel to these areas for very reasonable rates too.
One of the most overwhelming attractions of Spain is it's climate and, in particular the Costa Blanca which, it is said, has one of the best climates in the world. On average the Costa Blanca has almost 6 hours of sunshine per day in the winter rising to 11 hours in the summer. Maximum temperatures can rise from around 18°C in winter to 35°C in summer and, in 2003 temperatures reached a staggering 45°C. Average rainfall amounts to approximately 14 inches a year.
Such is the attraction of Spain that many thousands of people have decided to make the country their home. Here you will find people of all nationalities, living in a diverse choice of properties from traditional Spanish housing to the more modern urbanisations.
There is still an abundant supply of bars and restaurants to suit every taste and pocket, as well as supermarkets to supply all your needs for a stay here. There is an abundance of wildlife close at hand with the Salinas de Santa Pola having one of the largest flocks of flamingos in Spain and the famous El Hondo nature reserve close by.
With mountains inland and salt lakes to either side the area has its own microclimate with little rain. The World Health Organisation recognises it as the healthiest place to live in Europe.

La Marina / La Marina Complex area
La Marina, is situated 20 minutes drive south of Alicante Airport on the beautiful Costa Blanca. There is a large urbanisation and everything that you could possibly need to make your stay here enjoyable is within reach at a nearby location. The Blue Flag La Marina beach is just down the road with its natural sand dunes and there is always space to spread out on 11 miles of golden sandy beaches. Market day in La Marina is Thursday and there is also a Sunday Market on the dedicated site at the same location on calle Justo Quesada. La Marina urbanisation is part of the town of San Fulgencio and lies next to the urbanisations of El Oasis, La Escuera and Las Pesqueras. Urb. La Marina is only 4km from the sea. People from all nationalities have chosen La Marina as their holiday destination for many years and many have made it their permanent home. The mix of different languages and cultures makes La marina an enviable place to live and there is always someone to share a friendly chat and leisurely coffee. The numerous bars and restaurants as well as offering their own culinary delights also offer varied entertainment. Pop into The Hillside bar on a Sunday evening and you are sure of a very entertaining night out.
The neighbouring La Marina village, offers facilities such as camping international which enjoys a funfilled water park. The local road network means that major towns and cities are easily accessible and there is a local bus link to Alicante, Guardamar, La Mata and Torrevieja. The train service from Alicante is well regarded and offers excursions to destinations further afield such as Madrid and Barcelona.
The area enjoys a fantastic sunny climate, with over 3,000 hours of sunshine a year. The beaches are of golden sand and are clean and safe, they offer fun and relaxation for all the family. Various activities and water sports are available or just lay back and enjoy the sun.
The people are relaxed and friendly and our gastronomy, some of the best in Spain. Typical local dishes include various Tapas, Paella and rice dishes as well as local freshly caught seafood. Enjoy your meal with a glass of chilled wine and soak in the atmosphere in this wonderful location.
The Spanish town of Guardamar is on the coast just a 10 minute car journey from La Marina. The bustling seaside town of Torrevieja is a 20 minute drive south. There are day trips on boats from Santa Pola and Alicante to the small offshore island of Tabarca, the only inhabited island in the region of Valencia, with it's underwater reserve. Benidorm and the Terra Mitica theme park are just a 45 minute drive away. Car rental on the Costa Blanca is very economical. Any age young or old there is something here to keep a smile on your face.
How to get there
There are numerous airlines flying to either Alicante or Murcia Airports. Check out www.skyscanner.net which will advise you on the best deals from the many cutprice airlines available to you. Ryanair, Monarch, Jet2, Thomsonfly, First Choice, Easyjet and Bmibaby are just a few we have used ourselves. Our house, "Casita Bonita" is luckily only 20 minutes drive from Alicante airport. We can arrange airport pick up for you or alternatively you may want to hire a car from the airport. Either way we will send you directions from the airport to "Casita Bonita" our Spanish haven in the sun. On arrival you will find information of the local bus services which takes you to the local beach in summertime. There are bus services which also run to the surrounding towns and villages.

Conditions
Smokers are welcome, however, we request consideration be shown to the owner and other guests and ask that they strictly refrain from smoking indoors. Smoking is permitted outside on the patio where ashtrays are provided.
A £50 per week non-refundable deposit must be paid on booking. Please make cheques payable to Mr T Rogers. The balance and an additional security payment of £100 sterling will be paid 8 weeks prior to departure to cover possible breakages, key loss etc. (See booking form for full details). Late bookings should be accompanied by full payment plus the £100 security to the owners Mr & Mrs Rogers. Please note a surcharge of €50 will be paid directly to the keyholders on arrival to cover linen and cleaning costs on your departure.This payment will be applicable for every booking and is non negotiable.

Very comfortable accommodation. Sue & Tommy were very welcoming. Plenty of very good restaurants in the locality. Nan Kings Chinese Restaurant in Guadamar was busy but good food. Cason d'Colado near Supervalu - lovely kebabs. The bowls club was excellent plus music and dancing. Mercadona Supermarket down the road has all you need. The community pool is lovely - a good place to socialise and cool off. Went to Terra Mitica Theme Park and Aqualandia Water Park, both in Benidorm, very hot, but great fun. Good shopping in Torrevieja and Alicante, Zara, H&M etc.
We had a brilliant holiday, can't wait to come back.

Very comfortable & spacious accommodation. Very welcoming and friendly hosts Sue & Tommy. Thoughtful gesture of welcome pack makes a difference to starting your holiday. Great facilities for a self catering holiday. Walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants, bars and entertainment.
Had a great 2 wks holiday, very relaxing despite children 6,3 and 1. Accommodation is excellent and we would like to come back again. Tom has been great, giving us lots of info and tips of area.The Grill House was excellent for food and we had some really good take aways from The Victoria 11 - Chinese. We really enjoyed our days round the pool, the beaches at Santa Pola and Guadamar and best of all was the boat trip from Santa Pola to the Island of Tabarca. We also enjoyed Rio Safari Park and the dolphins at Mundamar.

Had an absolutaly brilliant time here. We loved Casita Bonita, you have everything needed. Sue & Tommy upstairs were so helpful and we had a great laugh at the Hillside bar. We will be back again very soon and recommend it to all our friends.
