Exceptional beaches are just 800 metres from the apartment and a communal swimming pool is approximately 50 metres from the front door. The quiet town of La Marina is just over 2 kilometres away for dining, tourist information and numerous local amenities at your convenience.

We hope that you will feel at home in this very comfortable modern and homely apartment, which we have equipped fully so that you only need to bring clothes and toiletries.
The lounge is air conditioned, and each bedroom and the lounge have individual ceiling fans, as well as portable radiators for the winter months. As well as English and Spanish digital TV, a DVD player and radio/CD player are provided. WiFi is also available (NB: There is a small charge for this facility). The family bathroom has a spacious shower and a bidet, and the kitchen is modern and fully equipped.

• The private balcony at the front of the apartment is equipped with a dining table, chairs and BBQ and enjoys unimpeded views of the Mediterranean Sea.
• The private balcony to the rear of the apartment provides a utility space for laundering and cleaning.
• For picnics or to relax on the beach, a cool box with ice packs is provided.
• Parking is provided directly outside the apartment block and is overlooked by the balcony.
• The large communal swimming pool is adjacent to the apartment block - a 2-minute walk from the apartment.

Rental details or conditions
• We do not arrange same day change overs and place no constraint on arrival or departure times, so guests are free to enjoy their holiday in full.
• A grocery pack can be provided on request at an extra cost (cost is dependent on the detail of the request).
• Guests should ensure that they take out adequate holiday and travel insurance for the duration of their holiday.
• Guests should ensure that they obtain their European Health Insurance Card and carry it during their holiday.
• A bi-lingual translator is on hand to assist with medical or emergency matters.
• For guests intending to drive whilst in Spain, a full national driving license will be required.
• OCGR International Limited will provide all relevant administrative information by email on receipt of full payment of the rent.

• Reservations are accepted subject to availability and may be held for 3 working days.
• A non-refundable deposit of 20% is required to secure the reservation within 3 working days of OCGR International Limited providing specific details on the methods of payment (OCGR International Limited accepts payment by PayPal, or bank transfer in GBP or Euros).
• Once the booking is confirmed, prospective guests are liable for payment of the balance of the rent plus any additional charges (such as grocery packs), which is to have been received by OCGR International Limited no later than 7 working days before the guests’ arrival.
• The owners, or OCGR International Limited, reserve the right to amend prices quoted due to errors and/or omissions, or currency fluctuations.
• Under no circumstances may people or pets other than those authorised and agreed by the owners, or OCGR International Limited, occupy the property.
• The owners, or OCGR International Limited, reserve the right to reasonable access to the property at any time.
• Keys for the property are provided to the guests on the understanding that the guests are responsible for the keys for the duration of their stay. There will be a charge for any lost keys and guests will be responsible for any associated expenses, such as replacing locks, locksmith call out charges etc.
• A refundable €60.00 security deposit is required in cash on arrival. This will be reimbursed following inspection of the property and no later than 5 working days after the guests have vacated the property.
• It is the guests’ responsibility to inform OCGR International Limited of changes to email addresses and/or telephone numbers, and any changes to flight information previously provided.

The region is awash with natural beauty, including its golden Mediterranean coast, mountains and rolling citrus groves, and with two notable salt lakes that shape the ecosystem: Santa Pola - adjacent to El Pinet, is a nature reserve full of migratory birds and flamingos; and the Mar Menor salt lake, near Murcia, is the largest in Europe. With its fertile lowlands, wealth of vegetable produce and abundant citrus groves, the region is often referred to as the “Market Garden of Europe” and the “Gastronomic Centre of Spain”.
The Costa Blanca enjoys one of the best climates in Europe. November through February is the mildest period, and the spring and summer seasons are long: warming speedily in March, peaking during August-September, and cooling down during October and November. As a by-product of its environment, the southern Costas have been described by the World Health Organization as one of the healthiest environments in which to live, or visit, in Europe.
The coast’s beauty is outstanding, boasting unspoilt beaches protected by pine forest parkland and subtropical citrus groves. Many of the numerous white sandy beaches, such as La Marina, have been awarded the EEC Blue Flag for cleanliness and safety, as have the Alicante and Santa Pola marinas. Bustling fishing villages, spectacular haciendas, numerous marinas and an excellent selection of championship golf courses dot the coastal landscape.
As well as the natural splendour, historical and cultural excursions, the area offers a significant range of activities to suit every appetite, such as: horse riding, golf on numerous championship courses, bowls, freshwater, coastal and sea fishing, scuba diving, water parks, other theme parks, go-karting, sailing, nature reserves, and shopping in any of the many colourful markets and bustling municipal centres. All of this is within a 30 minute drive of El Pinet, and other memorable day trips can be enjoyed slightly further afield, at great cities such as Murcia and Benidorm on the coast, and the numerous rustic towns and villages inland.
The La Marina / El Pinet area
El Pinet beach sits at the foot of ‘Residencial El Pinet’ – within a short walk. The beach is reached by passing the southern edge of the Santa Pola Nature Reserve and provides magnificent sea views beyond the salt lagoons. Most amenities are provided in the nearby traditional Spanish village of La Marina, which has a selection of bars, shops and restaurants, pharmacy, news agents and banks. The village also has a tourist information office, health centre, post room, internet café, cycle hire shop, and travel agents where daily sightseeing trips can be booked.
Just beyond La Marina village is ‘La Marina Urbanization’, which is a 5-minute drive from Residencial El Pinet. La Marina Urbanization provides additional amenities and holds markets on Thursdays and Sundays. There is a market every day somewhere in the area, offering an experience and potential bargains - such as the Santa Pola market which, for example, offers quality leather shoes at a fraction of the sterling price.
Just a few kilometres off the Costa Blanca mainland, near Santa Pola, lays the small and tranquil island of Tabarca. The island is little more than a mile long, 300 metres wide and car free. It is a protected marine reserve, declared a Zone of Special Protection for Birds by the European Union, with varied marine wildlife. The tiny island has become a popular day-trip destination, with its quiet fishing village offering an old fort, numerous fresh seafood restaurants, a rocky beach with clear turquoise water, several coves and tidal pools ideal for bathing. There are many excursions to the island from Alicante, Santa Pola and Torrevieja.
Elche, also known as the ‘City of Palms’, is approximately 14km from El Pinet. Strolling through its narrow streets you will discover a wealth of culture, impressive ancient architecture and a fascinating historical centre. Such is the town’s historic significance, UNESCO inscribed the town as custodian of two World Heritage sites: ‘Misteri d’Elx’ - the annual mystery play of Elche; and ‘Palmeral d'Elx’ - a landscape of groves and date palms with elaborate irrigation systems dating from when the Muslim city of Elche was erected, towards the end of the tenth century AC.

• El Pinet is in a great, convenient location for access to two of the region’s major airports. The closest are Alicante (ALC) - 25 minutes and Murcia (MJV) - 45 minutes. Cheap flights are available from airlines such as Easyjet, BMI, Ryanair, Flybe and Monarch, departing from most British and EU Airports. Competitive rates can be found at www.skyscanner.net.
• Competitive car hire is available from companies such as Dove Travel (www.dovetravel.com) and Aqua-Car (www.aquacar.es). Please be aware of companies that charge previously undisclosed non-discretionary insurance and other fees when you collect your vehicle. For example, in contrast, prices quoted by Aqua-Car are all-inclusive, meet the requirements of Spanish law, and stipulate no additional charges when you collect your vehicle.
• Licensed taxis are always available from both airports. Alternatively, we do operate airport transfers on request: e.g. Alicante to El Pinet €25 each way.
• A direct airport shuttle service now connects Alicante Airport to Torrevieja City.

We know the area well and can recommend it if you love being close to the sea, appreciate nature walks , a pool to swim in and shops within walking distance. The apartment has all you need, it is clean, well equipped and located in a quiet and natural setting on the outskirts of La Marina, a little Spanish village. . A car is handy to have but not a "must have" and the personal service we received from the manager "Norman" was second to none.
