About the home

The villa is in a small gated development in a quiet location near El Hondo nature reserve.

All amenities provide a 'Home from Home feeling':
Fully equipped kitchen, coffee maker, and plumbed in water filter.
Entertainment includes T.V. with English channels*, DVD/CD/AUDIO, multimedia PC with broadband Internet access*.
Board games, books, DVDs etc
Bedrooms - quality linen, duvets and towels. one hairdryer
Terraces/ balconies - outdoor furniture provided

The lower level consists of a spacious lounge with comfortable leather sofa's, 32" LCD TV, DVD/CD player, PC, Amplifier for PC music system/ CD and dining room area with table & seating for six.
A fully equipped kitchen with marble worktops and door to the rear garden.
A lower bedroom fitted with two single beds & small TV
A lower shower room fully fitted with wc & whb.

The marble stairway leads to the second floor which consists of master bedroom
which is fitted with a double bed, full length mirror wardrobes and patio doors to private balcony, with seating for two.
An adjacent upper 2nd bedroom fitted with two single beds and patio doors to private balcony with seating for two.
An upper full size family bathroom fully fitted with wc & whb & bidet.

The second floor stairway leads to the spacious roof terrace, with sunlounges and a small bistro table with seating for two. (also houses the washing machine, and wall mounted drying line)

We will reserve dates on request for up to 48 hours, after which a non-refundable deposit of £100 PER WEEK will be required.

The balance, additional charges along with a £150 deposit against breakages, is then required 6 weeks (earlier if using paypal) before the start of the holiday.
The breakage deposit will be refunded within 2 weeks of departure subject to a property inspection.

Payment can be made by cheque or debit/credit card via paypal.
(If using paypal an additional 3.5% charge is applied to cover costs).

Cancellation - the deposit and holiday costs, once paid, are not refundable in the event of cancellation - you are recommended to take out a comprehensive insurance policy against this unfortunate eventuality.

Beach towels - we have recently added a selection for guest use because of airport luggage restrictions, however if used they should be washed & dried and left for other guests, they are not included in the end of stay laundry.
Travel cot and cot duvet with cover is available at the villa, bring own bottom sheet , it is up to the user to assemble and disassemble the cot.

Conditions

Regrettably we have to impose a few conditions:

Strictly No Smoking at any time inside the villa;
Adults over the age of 21 and families only.
Families with young children must take care with supervision around the pool area as we cannot be held liable for any incidents.
Note: Other occupants have had problems with young toddlers when wet on the tiled floor areas, please be aware of this when booking with young children, and bring some rubber soled sandels.

Living room

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

With 300+ days of sunshine per year, and average daytime temperatures from 16°C in winter up to a sizzling 30+°C in July and August, this is a year-round destination. For swimmers, sea temperatures are 20°C or higher for 6 months of the year.

The area shows evidence of earlier Roman and Moor occupation - many towns and villages still celebrate the Festival of the Moors and Christians. In fact festivals celebrating some historic event or another take place at almost any time of the year, usually accompanied by impressive firework displays!

Alicante (25km) is the largest local city, providing all the amenities expected from the "capital of Costa Blanca" and dominated by its castle (Castillo de Santa Bárbara).

Elche (12 km ) is a beautiful town with a history extending over 2000 years. It boasts Europe's most extensive collection of palm trees (over 200,000) at El Palmeral and the famous archaelogical site at l'Alcudia. For those with an eye for a bargain, Elche is the "shoe capital" of Spain!

Orihuela (26km) is another historic and cultural centre, first settled by the Romans, with an impressive Arabic castle, Gothic cathedral and Renaissance palaces, and surrounded by almond, olive and citrus fruit plantations.

The area around Crevillente (18km) offers spectacular mountain scenery, the highest point being Monte Alto at 682m (2217ft). For those with more serious mountain walking ambitions, the Sierra Aitana (105km away) rises to 1558m (5063ft).

The La Marina / San Fulgencio area

The local area (La Marina urbanizacion) offers a wide selection of shops, bars and restaurants. The nearest bar/restaurants and tourist information office is a 10 minute walkaway and there are other commercial areas with more choices of bars, restaurants, shops within a 2 minute drive or 25minute walk away.

The nearest beach is Playa La Marina, which boasts a Blue Flag and 11km of golden sand. Full services are available including beachside bars/restaurants; just inland is an extensive pine forest, ideal for picnics or a pleasant stroll out of the heat.

Within an easy 15 minute drive is Guardamar, a larger resort featuring popular beaches with watersports, a lovely promenade and a wide range of bars and restaurants.

Torrevieja offers even more shopping (including a massive Carrefour hypermarket) and extensive choices for eating out; for boat enthusiasts there is an impressive marina.


For golfers there is an excellent selection of courses to choose from, including:

La Marquesa at Rojales (5840m) - 6.5km; La Finca at Algorfa (6394m) - 14km; Villamartin (6132m) - 30km;
La Ramblas near Villamartin (5914m ) - 32km; Campoamor (6203m) - 36km;
OR a choice of 3 courses at La Manga - 80km.

Parks and Attractions - a wide selection of activities within easy travelling distance includes -

Water parks - Rojales (Aqua-Park) and Torrevieja (Aquopolis);
Park and Valencian themed Gardens at Monte Tossal Valencia Park (Alicante);
Safari Park - Rio Safari at Elche, with exotic species including tigers, lions, hippos etc;
Aquarium - Acuario at Santa Pola, a large aquarium featuring Mediterranean aquatic life;
Theme Park - Terra Mitica (Benidorm), a huge attraction owned by Paramount Studios - 70km and well worth a day out!
Horse Riding - Lo Rufete activity centre 23 kms - also quad bikes etc (http://www.lorufete.com/indexi.htm)
Go-karting - just off the N332, about 4 km.
Take a boat trip out to Tabarca island from Santa Pola or Torrevieja.
