This luxury detached villa will help to make your dream holiday a perfect memory. The gated accommodation comprises of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms/shower rooms. The roof terrace has stunning views of El Honda nature reserve and the impressive mountain range of the Sierra de Crevillente , where you can sit and watch the sun rising in the morning or setting at dusk. The villa has been beautifully furnished, the lounge offering LCD satellite television with English Channels. There is a local market on Thursday.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

There is an unquestionably attractive coastal landscape for tourists, and the bathing season starts in spring and lasts until autumn. But one must not forget the environmental uniqueness of this area, where great expanses of beach combine with spectacular rolling dunes where conditions are ripe for the appearance of really unique types of flora and fauna.

During the summer the vacationers can find themselves under the Spanish sun at temperatures up to 40 degrees and the resident all year round can enjoy the mild climate. Winter's temperatures are very rare less than 5 degrees and one can stay at Christmas at 15-20 degrees here easily. Precipitations fall in this area mainly in November and April. In the spring the average temperatures is a mild 20-25 degrees and everything blossoms, and in autumn one can still sit in late October with a cardigan on the terrace

The villa is on a residential development overlooking the El Honda nature reserve. It is a 10 min drive from the golden dunes and blue flag beaches at La Marina Playas. It is also ideal for bird watching, walks and picnics. Perfectly situated to combine a relaxing holiday with discovery of the Costa Blanca; nearby are Santa Pola, Guardamar, Alicante, Torrevieja and La Manga.The island of Tabarca is a short ferry ride away and well worth a visit for snorkelling.

To the west is open countryside leading to Elche, Crevillante, historical Orihuela, and the Cordlleras mountains. There are water parks in the area and go-karts. The Rio Safari Park is 15 minutes away - a great day out for all the family. Just outside Benidorm is Terra Mitica, a family theme park owned by Paramount and on the scale of Euro Disney.There are regular bus service from the commercial centre to many villages and towns. La Marina facilities include tour operators for local trips and a tourist information office.

50 Mins from Benidorm, home to the Terra Mitica Theme Park, two aquaparks, Alicante, several golf courses and many other places of interest.

The villa is excellently placed for golfing enthusiasts with an ideal winter climate and several courses close by offering some of the finest championship golf courses in Europe. There are 4 professional Par 72 golf courses (VillaMartin, Campoamor, Las Rambles & La Maquesa) all within a 10 - 45 minute drive. La Marquesa at Rojales is 10 min away, Las Ramblas is 20 min away and El Plantio, near the Airport is 20 min away. Masa Trajecttu at Murcia, La Finca at Algorfa, Campoanmor, Quesada Bonalbna Golf and Alicante Golf both at Alicante, Villa Martin, Aleda Golf at Elche are all accessible courses.It is well worth booking in advance if you are planning a golf trip. All of these courses can offer clubs, trolleys and buggies for hire. More famously, La Manga Resort is around an hour away by car.


La Marina area

La Marina in Costa Blanca has a population of 3,000.

To the north is Santa Pola and Alicante, to the south, Guardamar and Torrevieja.

The village has a range of shops, bars, banks etc. and has a regular bus service north and south along the coast.

The sandy beach at La Marina stretches some 17 kilometres from Santa Pola to Torrevieja.

There is a large urbanization (town) situated about a mile back into the hills with many shops, bars, restaurants, swimming pools etc.

All year round inhabited, the Urbanisation has developed its own charm and in the summer it pulsates life. Many Spaniards spend their holidays here (especially in August) and enjoy the family gathering with a picnic in the pine wood close to the beach or an eventful evening with one of the great Fiestas with “foam party” and live-Music.

The Urbanisation La Marina is one biggest in the Costa Blanca and lies only approx. 3.5 km away from the wonderful 17-km-long sandy beach. Besides this situation close to the coast La Marina offers a developed infrastructure as well as numerous entertainment possibilities and an active social life for the residents. Of course a lot is also offered to the holiday-maker, from the coastal road N-332 you can visit the hinterland and the close cities like Torrevieja, Alicante and Murcia.

The Spanish weekly markets are liked very much in almost all towns close to La Marina. In the Urbanization it takes place every week on Thursdays and Sundays on the marketplace near the centre. The Mercado of Santa Pola and the biggest weekly market of the region on Sunday in Campo de Guardamar have numerous offers for the visitors of local fruit and vegetables, as well as shoes from the Spanish traditional workshops, craft work, clothes, leather article and of course a sufficient offer of catering trade for every taste.


How to get there

La Marina Urbanisation is situated off the N332 and A37 motorway linking Alicante, Cartagena and all other major cities north and south, just 20 minutes South of Alicante Airport and 45 minutes North of Murcia Airport.

Car hire or transport to and from the airport can be arranged.

The villa has been furnished with a modern theme in mind.

The ground floor consists of a spacious cosy lounge/diner catering for 8-10 people seating area. The kitchen is fully fitted well equipped with facilities of a microwave, toaster, kettle, etc. There is a comfortable twin bedded room with a washroom and shower room near by.

The first floor has 2 comfortably furnished bedrooms with fitted wardrobes - master bedroom leads to a terrace equipped with 4 sun beds. The terrace overlooks the beautiful el-honda nature reserve and the mountains in the distance. Second bedroom on the first floor also has its own terrace. There is also a fully tiled main bathroom on the first floor

The roof terrace houses an out door table, chairs with a separate door leading to the utility area with washing machine . One could spend hours on the terrace enjoying a drink and admiring the tranquillity and peace of the surrounding scenery.

The underbuild has 2 bedrooms - one double bedroom and one twin bedded room and a large lounge leading to a fully tiled washroom/shower room.

The owner's weekend rates apply to: Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights

NB: Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion.
In addition to the above charges there is a changeover/cleaning charge of 50 euros (£40) for the 3 bedrrom villa and 75 euros (£62.50) for the 5 bedrooms villa.

A charge of £25 per week is applicable if hot/cold air-conditioning is required.

A non refundable deposit of £100 per week is required to secure your booking and the balance payable 6 weeks prior to departure; or immediately if the booking is made within 6 weeks of departure date. A refundable security deposit of £100.00 is also required against breakages and damage which will be refunded within 14 days of return of the apartment keys provided our agent has found everything to be in order after checking the apartment inventory.

A discount of 10% is applicable to the rental price for all bookings of 2 weeks or more from October to March . Summer bookings of 2 weeks or more for 2009 qualify for 5% discount if received by August 2008.
The underbuild consists of two bedrooms, lounge and shower room.

Well what can I say!!!! A great holiday was had by all and we would most definitely consider staying in your lovely Villa again!! It is beautifully decorated/finished and had everything possibly required in BBQ (although we didn't use this), iron and ironing board, hairdryer, washing machine, hoover (which I also didn't use I am afraid - well I was on holiday!), pans, cutlery, crockery, cleaning stuff etc etc - J O'Keeffe - May 2007

We would like to say that our stay at your villa was delightful. We fully enjoyed our holiday as a whole and found everything we needed. The description of the villa advertised was exact , all the required amenities such as shops and restaurants were within walking distance. Everything was just perfect. We will definitely enquire with yourself about availability for our future visits to that area of spain. We were that pleased that we have already recommended your villa to others. As long as the future renters have a vehicle then they can enjoy a vaster experience of spain at your villa by taking in the beach holiday accompanied by experiencing the local towns and fiesta's.
