In one of the best locations on the La Manga strip, with stunning views of the Med, the Mar Menor (Little Sea) and the Tomas Maestre Sporting Harbour. The apartment has two balconies; one off the main lounge/dining area with southerly facing views towards the Isla Grosa and one off the master bedroom overlooking the marina. The second bedroom also has french doors that open out to a viewing area overlooking the marina.

This beautiful third floor apartment has only recently been newly furnished in a contemporary style that is in keeping with its stunning location. There are two double bedrooms, both with fitted wardrobes and super kingsize beds (can be split into 2 singles upon request), and two bathrooms (one en-suite) both with bath, shower, wc and bidet.

Access to the apartment is via stairs or lift. There is also a security phone connection to the complex's front door. It is our intention to provide our guests with a level of luxury usually associated with a First Class hotel suite; these facilities include three speed remote control ceiling fans in both bedrooms and lounge/dining areas, home cinema system with TV, DVD, CD and surround sound speakers and two large sofa beds.

A satellite TV system with a good range of UK channels, including BBC 1, BBC 2, ITV 1, ITV 2, ITV3, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky One, Sky News, UKTV Living, UKTV Gold, Discovery Channel, History Channel, Sky Sports 1, Sky Sports 2, Sky Sports 3, Prem Plus, Eurosport, Sky Movies 1, Sky Movies 2, TCM, Hallmark, Music Channel, National Geographic, RTE Television, RTE2, Bloomberg & Sci-Fi Channel.

Plus the following radio channels: BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 4, Capital Gold, Capital FM, Classic FM, Classic Gold, Planet Rock, Jazz FM & Heart FM. The TV also has both SCART & Phono connections for external equipment such as Xbox, Playstation, digital camera/camcorder etc.

The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, ceramic hob, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. A washing machine, clothes airer, ironing board and iron are also provided in the utility area, which also houses the electric hot water boiler. The whole apartment has room by room thermostatically controlled under floor heating for use throughout the winter months.

A full set of linen and towels are provided for our guests use - although please bring your own beach towels!

The location and quality of this accommodation should ensure a happy and enjoyable holiday for you and your family or friends when staying in La Manga. The apartment forms part of a new development with two large communal swimming pools available for residents and guest use only. There are a number of restaurants within short walking distance and the Tomas Maestre Marina is just a 15 minute walk where there are many restaurants and bars. The beaches of both the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean are also both within a 5 minute walk. The Med beach is only 120 metres from the main entrance to the complex, with the Mar Menor beach being only 200 metres. There is a well stocked supermarket within a 150 metres with numerous other shopping facilities along the La Manga strip which operates a regular bus service and tourist road train throughout the year. The nearest golf course is Veneziola Golf www.veneziola-golf.com is approximately 1 mile further along the strip offering 9 holes and a driving range. Green fees are from only 15 euros for 9 holes with a day ticket costing only 27 euros including lunch.

The importance of the location of Los Miradores del Puerto is signified by it being chosen for the only five star hotel along the La Manga strip. The Spa Hotel, which is next door to our apartment block boasts superb spa facilities, various restaurants (including a Japanese one on the top floor with panoramic views of the sea and harbour) and the following facilities:

The Murcia region

There are few places in the world where nature has provided the necessary conditions to convert them into virtual paradises. There are also very few locations in the world where this privilege is doubled by environmental and geographic aspects. La Manga is one of them.

La Manga is located on the Costa Calida ("warm coast") in Murcia. This area of Spain has one of the healthiest climates in the world, with around 300 days of sunshine each year.

In Spanish "La Manga" means "the sleeve", and from a distance it looks like an arm stretching out across the Mediterranean. La Manga is a strip of land 22 kilometres in length with sandy beaches that run along both sides. The strip has an average width of 300m and stretches from the fishing village of Cabo de Palos in the south to San Pedro in the north. The strip acts as a barrier between the Mediterranean on one side, and the Mar Menor on the other.

The Mar Menor ("little sea" in Spanish) is Europe's largest salt-water lagoon with calm, warm waters. It's popular with people who enjoy watersports such as wind-surfing and kite-surfing. Scuba-diving is also a popular sport in La Manga and there's a range of diving schools catering for everyone, whether you're a beginner or a pro. One of the most popular dives is the dive around Isla Grosa, which takes you through the beautiful quartz caves.

Near La Manga is the Calblanque Nature Reserve, a protected area since 1987 and a nature reserve since 1992, and one of the last untouched areas on the Mediterranean coast. Even today it remains a site of unrivalled natural beauty.

The nearest cities to La Manga are Cartegena and Murcia. The closest towns are Los Belones, Cabo de Palos, Los Nietos and Mar de Cristal.

La Manga Strip

There is something for all age groups in the area and yet it is not a package holiday resort, catering mainly for Spanish holiday makers and visitors from continental Europe.

The apartment is situated in a newly developing part of La Manga, overlooking the canal which leads to the Tomas Maestre Marina, having wonderful views of the Mediterranean and the many yachts and boats as they pass by. Work has recently begun on a new deep sea marina, which will eventually attract cruise ships as well as other craft.

"Excellent location, good amenities close by."

Were given detailed instructions to the apartment from the Airport and were met on arrival by Jo who then showed us to the apartment and explained all we needed to know to settle us in, which was very helpful.
Supermarket was a 2 min walk away with restaurants cafes and a Pharmacy within 5 mins.
Nicely appointed apartment with 2 balconies, lovely to eat breakfast in the sunshine in October !
Everything needed was in the apartment, only slight downside was no air conditioning with only ceiling fans to cool, it was 32c for October, a bit warm for that time of year apparently. WIFI and UK TV channels were a nice extra and were appreciated.
All in all a very nice, quiet week break with deserted beaches and blue skies.

"Fabulous"

The apartment was excellent with fabulous views from all the balconies . Very well equipped, well maintained and spotless. Great location as at the top of the strip and very near to the Marina which has great bars and restaurants .
The pool area is also excellent and very well maintained .
We were provided with a welcome pack which was a lovely touch as it contained a bottle of wine and pack of beers which we drank on the balcony overlooking the marina .
On site support again excellent, we were well briefed on where to go, where to eat and what to do .
We did hire a car and found this very useful as although Marina is in walking distance ( good 20 min walk ) , the weather was very hot .
The owner , Darren was very patient ( I changed the dates several times ) and communications etc were excellent
Overall brilliant holiday, brilliant apartment---will consider booking again
