Fully air-conditioned apartment with shared pool. Situated in a fantastic location, on the La Manga strip with stunning views of both the Mar Menor and Mediterranean sea. The Mar Menor side has a lovely little cove not even 1 minutes walk away and again it's ideal for families with young children. The beach next to the apartment is long, wide, golden sand on the Mediterranean sea. It's fantastic for bodyboarding, snorkelling or just playing in the waves.
The pool is set beside the beach and offers amazing views if you really can't face the golden sand. It's easy to get to the Marina on foot from here, so you can enjoy the fab bars, restaurants and soak in the atmosphere. The nearest supermarket is the superb quality El Corte Inglés near the Marina.

The Murcia region
The autonomous region of Murcia is one of contrasts – mountains and plains, beaches and woodlands, semi-arid and irrigated lands. A third of the region is over two thousand feet and the highest mountain is at six and a half thousand feet. There are over one hundred miles of coastline. The one thing that is constant is the sun – nearly three thousand hours a year makes this a region that tourists are belatedly catching-on-to.
The region is an excellent place for activity holidays in the countryside. Throughout the whole length of the coast from Cabo de Palos and Portman, as far as Cartegena the Country park of Calnegre, offers great scope for walking and hiking. Further inland there are interesting routes for walking, horse riding and mountain biking as well as complete packages for the more energetic sports of climbing, caving, rafting, paragliding, hang-gliding and cave-diving. There are also courses on agro-tourism, including the traditional crafts of cheese-making and confectionery.
La Manga Strip
Described by the tourist board as “A paradise between two seas”. It is the narrow strip of land that separates the ‘two seas’ of the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean for about 20 kilometres. Famous for its clean air, the choice of beaches is almost endless, from the wild dunes to the south, to the gently sloping safe beaches of the Mar Menor. Being shallow, the Mar Menor is often a little warmer than the Mediterranean. La Manga has a fine sports harbour where you can hire all manner of water-sports equipment, including sailing dinghies. Lessons are available too. Being completely flat, La Manga is very easy to get about for walkers and cyclists alike.

"Clean and spacious apartment with all the facilities you need"
We traveled to La Manga for some early summer sun with our 8 month old baby and found Playa Principe to have exactly what we were looking for - sun, sand, pool, amenities, beach bar... Our daughter loved splashing round in the pool and we could have a siesta on the balcony while she had her afternoon sleep which was great all round. In the evening we often went to the harbour for drinks and food - there are some lovely beach side restaurants, where we could watch the sun set with a glass of sangria!

"Fantastic, well equipped apartment."
The apartment was clean, bright and airy and very well equipped. It had everything that you could want for a family and more. There were even toys and inflatables to use at the beach or in the pool. The location is ideal, close to shops, restaurants and beaches. There is also a pool that is partly shaded during the day which was ideal for young children.

"Outstanding! Stunning views, great relaxing location, immaculate apartment."
This was our third visit to this property. We love the location as there is a choice of two beaches, one on either side a one minute walk away and apartment block also has a private pool. The apartment itself is clean, bright and airy with a large living/dining room with balcony overllooking the sea opposite. There are two bedrooms each with their own bathroom and airconditioning throughout. There is a large supermarket with good quality fresh produce within walking distance and a variety of restaurants and bars. Car hire is easy but there is aslo an excellent bus service running regularly up and down the strip. More of a family and couples destination so no rowdy groups of partying teenagers.

"Stunning apartment in a stunning location!"
I initially visited La Manga in May 2011 for a week long getaway break and stayed in La Playa Principe apartment, on the La Manga Strip. On arriving at the apartment, I was really impressed by the place and the facilities available. It is an extremely well presented apartment which is literally right on the Mediterranean side beach. The apartment is far enough up the La Manga Strip for it to be quiet, yet with the bars and shops of the Puerto Tomas Maestre harbour at easy walking distance. The apartment is situated along a beautiful white sandy beach on the deep blue Mediterranean side. On the other side of the apartment is the warm, shallow Mar Menor which is great for snorkelling. We hired mountain bikes from Border Bike Hire who delivered the bikes to our apartment and this was the perfect way to explore the La Manga Strip from KM 16 all the way to the top. The apartment is in easy reach of the historic places of Murcia and Cartagena if you have a hire car, and there are many Golf courses in the area to relax on. I recommend Sierra Golf in Balsicas which is run by Alan Masters who is extremely welcoming and friendly! The apartment facilities are perfect for a holiday in this location. There are wheelchair ramps to the buildings and a lift to the apartment as well as a staircase so it is easy to access for people who have limited mobility and those who fancy keeping fit by using the stairs! I would strongly recommend this apartment if you are considering a holiday in the Mar Menor area. After thoroughly enjoying my first visit and being so impressed, I visited the apartment again last year and will be visiting again this year!
