The Costa Calida/Murcia region

of culture and heritage .The city of Cartagena 30 mins drive away has a beautiful promenade and port also several castles and historical monuments can be found here not forgetting superb shopping.

La Manga Del Mar Menor / Playa Honda area

In the summer months the La Manga strip comes alive with lots of shops bars and resaurants to visit together with the Tomas Maestre harbour.A ferry trip from the harbour to SantiagoDe Ribera on market day(wednesday) is a must.On one side of the strip you have lovely beaches and sheltered bays,on the other side you have crystal clear waters of the Mar Menor which in the summer months can reach temps of 30*c.Ten mins drive from your apartment you will find the quaint fishing village of Cabo De Palos with its superb fish resaurants,a noteworthy lighthouse and a bustling sunday market.

How to get there

Cheap flights are available from easyjet ,ryanair, and jet2.com.All flying to either alicante 50 mins away or to murcia 20 mins away.Our prefered airport is Murcia were car hire is very easy,we personally use Centaura cars who have an excellent website for bookings.If you need transport from the airport or simply prefer not to drive then pickups can be arranged through our local agents alternatevely taxis are always available at a reasonable cost.
