The Costa Calida/Murcia region
The La Manga Strip is a unique location in Europe, between two Seas, the Mediterranean Sea and the crystal clear waters of the Mar Menor. The apartment is located overlooking the Mediterranean, near the Thomas Maestra Marina. There is an excellent range of sports facilities available including golf, tennis, water sports including diving and sailing.
There are miles of sandy beaches and the Mar Menor (the largest salt water lake in Europe), which is both shallow and very warm offering ideal swimming for all. One of the few places where you can see a sunrise and sunset from the same location over two different seas!
La Manga Del Mar Menor / La Manga Strip area
La Manga is a cosmopolitan society made up of all nationalities and this mix means that the services, goods and products on offer is more varied than would normally be found in Mediterranean resorts. There is a complete mix of nationalities, including many English, German, Swedish and Belgian business owners, to name but a few, which means that everyone has the opportunity to try different cuisine and sample different atmospheres..
At nearby Cabo de Palos the Sunday market offers a great variety of goods for sale, from fresh fruit and vegetables to clothes, shoes, hand-crafted goods and gifts being among the most popular. The market receives visitors from many of the surrounding areas, who then drift down to the harbour to take a tapa (Drink/Snack), stay for lunch or just stroll along the quayside.
There is a practice 9 hole golf course & driving range nearby (3 minutes drive) and La Manga Club world famous golf course a 15 minute drive with 3 interantional courses and the Spanish open has been hosted here.
Cartagena is about 35 minutes drive away and Murcia 60 minutes, both offer an insight into Spanish life and have all the facilities of a modern city with some interesting architecture and history.
How to get there
There are lots of low cost flights to both Alicante and Murcia (also known as San Javier airport) from most UK Airports. Murcia is the closest.

Further details indoors: The apartment is fairly new and tastefully furbished with leather sofas and glass top dining table.
There is a lovely breeze that comes off the balcony, there are ceiling fans in every room.
Further details outdoors: The swimming pool is set in lanscaped gardens with palm trees and flower beds. The maintenance is kept to a very high standard (caretaker resident on site). Direct access onto the beach with lovely walks along the broadwalk. The master bedroom faces the sea, lulls you to sleep at night!
