These apartment offers a fully equipped kitchen, full bathroom, 2 good sized bedrooms with air conditioning. The apartment is on the sort after complex of Verdemar 3.
The apartment complex is situated on the beaches of the Mar Menor. The Mar Menor is a large salt water lagoon which enjoys average water temperatures of 30c during the summer months. Because of the shallow water, this makes an ideal location for all sorts of water sports. There are international schools closeby which offer all sorts of nautical activies from scuba diving, water skiing to wind surfing. Everyone is catered for - novice to expert. The Mar Menor is also home to The Black Mud which is said to help treat rheumatism, arthritis and many other ailments. Nearby is the famous La Manga Club which is host to championship golf courses, aswell as tennis courts, spa facilities and a vast range of other activities. Recently more golf corses have opened in the area and a list of these in included in our information book which you will find in the apartment.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region
This region has on average 320 days of sunshine each year. With the lowest amount of rainfall it is an ideal place for your holiday in both summer and winter. The village is located on the edge of the famous Mar Menor which offers a whole host of water sports to suit anyone from novice to expert because of its warm, shallow waters. The Mar Menor is also famous for The Black Mud which is said to help releive pain from rheumatism, arthritis and many other ailments. The water temperature of the Mar Menor in summer reaches 30c and so is ideal for small children to paddle.
La Manga Del Mar Menor / Playa Honda area
The Mar Menor averages water temperatures of around 30c in the summer so it is ideal for all types of water sports including scuba diving, water skiing, sailing and many more. The Mar Menor is also famous for The Black Mud which is said to help treat the symptoms of rheumatism, arthritis and many other ailments.
It has an average depth of 1.7m which makes it ideal for water sports. The depth around the shore is only 0.5m and this along with the warm water temperatures makes La Manga the perfect place for children to safely enjoy the beach.
Local Activities
Diving
There are rocky points that appear above sea level and a short distance from Cabo de Palos, this has created a Marine reserve. On your journey you could see eels and octopuses as well as sunken vessels that appear at a depth of 30 metres. Several diving schools are in the La Manga area. Take a course to gain PADI approved diving certification or a short experience dive to give you an idea of the incredible world beneath the surface of the sea. Coral reefs and fantastic rock formations all exist of the coast of La Manga and you can take dive trips to the many islands nearby.
Sailing
Learn to sail or improve your technique on Europe's largest lagoon, the Mar Menor. The permanently warm waters and predictable winds provide perfect yachting conditions. Learn from an instructor in your boat or one provided by one of the sailing schools in the La Manga area. As an alternative to sailing learn to use a Kayak, available as singles and doubles. Take half or full day "Safaris" to explore the protected wildlife of the Mar Menor lagoon.
Windsurfing
Learn to windsurf or improve your technique on Europe's largest lagoon, the Mar Menor. The permanently warm waters and predictable winds provide perfect windsurfing conditions. Learn from an instructor with your board or one provided by one of the sailing and windsurfing schools in the La Manga area. As an alternative to windsurfing learn to use a Kayak, available as singles and doubles. Take half or full day "Safaris" to explore the protected wildlife of the Mar Menor lagoon.
Due to the nature of windsurfing in a lagoon 21km long and up to 10km wide, you have freedom to cover as much water as you feel comfortable with. Small islands with their own restaurants and bars are a short distance away. Surf there for a break
Horse Riding
Located near to La Manga golf, you can venture on a 13km journey across terraced fields over rocks and through the natural beaches of Calblanque. On your journey you may want to stop of and visit the coves of Cabo Negrete. The riding stables have been established for many years and are run by an experienced team. A variety of horses, treks and routes are available. Take a horse and explore the beautiful La Manga countryside.
Golfing
There are many golf courses in the region meeting the needs of all golfers. There are the "Premier League" of courses and clubs, such as La Manga Golf Club, Roda Golf and Hacienda del Alamo and others of PGA standard.
La Manga Golf Club is one of the finest clubs in Spain, there are three championship courses and is the haunt of many famous stars of film and television and sport. If you are looking for golf on a smaller style a 9 hole pitch and putt is located at the far end of the La Manga strip, Veneziola Golf
The La Manga area has more golf courses than you can "shake a club at". The courses offering varying levels of difficulty, but all offer an enjoyable experience with superb facilities.
Tennis
La Manga has many tennis courts open to the public these can be found up and down the La Manga strip. If you need lessons and/or a tennis school this can be found at the La Manga Club. The wonderful climate means that you can enjoy a match all year round, day or night .
The La Manga Club Tennis centre has everything. Plenty of courts, shops, equipment and coaches, not forgetting cafe, restaurants and bars. Many clubs play there and their main court is used for competitions and the centre is appropriately equipped.
Cycling
The Mar Menor, A good way to discover this unique costal spot is to tour the Mar Menor by bicycle, using paths, dirt tracks and even a small ravine, always next to the waters edge.
Hothouse bicycle route, a biking excursion through the flat interior, crossing fruit and vegetable crops and immense fields of hothouses, there ingenious yet simple structures of plastic and wood that have revolutionised the farming system in the Cartagena area.
The Mining Hills, This round cycling trip which starts and ends in Los Belones, visits Portman Bay – one of the prettiest and yet solitary corners of the Murcian coast – and the famous mining hills of La Union.
Boating
The Mar Menor is connected to the Mediterranean by four channels, which prevent the lagoon from drying out through evaporation. The largest channel, El Estacio is the only navigable waterway for boats wishing to visit both seas. The Tomas Maestre marina, with over 1000 moorings, restaurants and shops is situated adjacent to this channel. Boat trips, Charters and water sports are available from the many marinas surrounding the Mar Menor and also on the Mediterranean coast.
Charter a boat and visit the Balearic Islands, only a few hours away. There are several Diving schools in the area for those who want to get underwater

The low cost airlines (Ryan Air and Easyjet) fly to Murcia (San Javier) regularly from many UK airports. Further details indoors: The apartment is located on the the Verdemar 3 complex. It benefits from air conditioning and English TV, there are 2 good sized bedrooms, both with built in storage, full bathroom and the kitchen is fully equipped with all you would need for your self catering holiday.

Further details outdoors: There is a large terrace with this apartment which provides a good outdoor space both for sunbathing and for eating outdoors. The apartment is based on a complex which has a communal indoor and outdoor pools. There are many facilities to be enjoyed on the complex which include spa facilities, gym and sauna areas. There is also lift access.
