The Costa Calida/Murcia region
The Costa Calida (Warm Coast) area is known to have one of the most pleasant climates in the world - according to the World Health Organisation. There are so many reasons for coming to this area and many people who come as holiday makers recognize this and eventually return to live here. The average hours of sunshine per day ranges from around 6 hours in winter to a full 12 hours at the height of summer. This compares to the London average of 1 hour in January and February to a maximum of 7 hours in June. Rain on the Costa Calida is rare, especially in the summer months.
La Manga del Mar Menor is a wonderful Mediterranean spot located 30 Km. North of Cartagena. La Manga's official slogan is A paradise between two Seas. La Manga del Mar Menor itself is a narrow wedge of land between two seas, the Mediterranean and the Mar Menor, measuring 21 km. in length.
Flats, residences, luxurious villas, hotels, restaurants, discotheques, an important leisure port with a blue flag and magnificent recreational installations take up part of it. While the last few kilometres have been left practically in its natural state.
La Manga has a large number of beaches totaling more than 40 km., with, in addition, the possibility of choosing between two seas with very different water temperatures, different degrees of salinity, one with waves and the other practically calm all year round.
La Manga, in itself, is a magnificent tourist spot, with hotels that makes up 50% of the regional total. In addition to a certain cosmopolitan atmosphere, one must add the beauty of its landscape, its special qualities for golf and water sports and an ample variety of entertainment and leisure activities.
La Manga Del Mar Menor / Los Miradores del Puerto area
La Manga is a narrow strip of land between the Mediterranean Sea and the Mar Menor, which is an inland sea. One of the beauties of La Manga is that you can experience both the excellent beaches of the Mediterranean, including a number of Blue Flag beaches, and the many sheltered beaches and shallow warm waters of the Mar Menor. The Mar Menor also has a wide variety of water sport activities that are suitable for both children and adults for the more active.There is a PADI Diving school within a mile offering diving courses, boat diving and Snorkelling.
There is jet skiing, sailing and Windsurfing very close by, Also for the speed merchants there is a great Go karting complex, all ages and levels of tracks catered for.
Regular buses up and down the La Manga strip all year round, Also Coach services to Murcia and Cartagena. B+F ferries operate daily out of Puerto Tomas Maestre(La Manga).
For those wanting to relax the Mar Menor boasts therapeutic qualities and people travel for all over to bathe in the waters and use the clay/mud treatments.
Within the region of Murcia there are markets to found somewhere every day of the week, If it's water parks the kids want then there are two to visit, One just beyond the city of Murcia, which also has a zoo and the other can be found at Torrevieja.
How to get there
The two closest airports to the apartment are Murcia San Javier Airport (40 minutes drive away) and Alicante Airport (1 hour 30 minutes drive away). Regular flights operate to both airports from most mainland UK airports.

The apartment is light and spacious and is furnished to a high standard.

The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob and Microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee peculator . There is a small utility room with washing machine, iron, ironing board, and clothes air-er.
Large Lounge/Dining area - with lounge seating for 4 people, dining seating for 4 people, CD player, book stand, air conditioning and ceiling fans. Also there are children's toys located lounge cupboard. Double doors lead to a large balcony with fantastic views towards the Marina and the islands in the Med. There is a table and 6 chairs on the balcony for those beautiful evenings where you can dine Al Fresco.
The Inner hallway leads to:-
Master bedroom with fitted sliding wardrobes ( also comprising of a safe and children's toys) and patio doors to the main balcony which boasts fantastic views of the tennis courts and pool area.
En suite Bathroom - with sink set in vanity unit, low level w.c, bidet, and panelled bath with mains fed shower over.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 both comprise of twin beds, double sliding wardrobes and great views of the pool area and the Mediterranean sea.

The apartment benefits from air conditioning throughout, and under floor heating if the weather should turn cool. The apartment has access via a lift or stairs and there is a plenty of off road parking.
If golf is your thing then there are 4 sets of golf clubs available at a local charge and the nearest course is within 5 minutes drive away!!! Then there is always the world famous La Manga Club Golf Resort where there is three 18 hole golf courses all within 20 minutes drive of the apartment.
Further details outdoors: There are two pools and a tennis court on site and the beaches of the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean are only a short distance away. There are restaurants, bars, shops and many other amenities nearby.
The local supermarket is only 1 min walk away where you can find everything you will need whilst on your holidays.

The cleaning and laundry is included in the rates. Linen and towels are provided, but not beach towels. A welcome pack can be made available at a charge of €20, paid locally. A mid stay clean is available at €35 this is also to be paid locally
There is no set changeover day. Apartment may be ready for occupation before 5pm ( we always aim to accommodate where possible) Unless by prior agreement the apartment must be vacated by 10.00 am.
A 25% non-refundable deposit secures the booking. Full balance of payment must be made 8 weeks prior to holiday commencement. Also a £100 Refundable security deposit to be paid with balance, ( This is refunded back within 14 days once the property has been checked and we are satisfied).
