A 15 minute drive from Murcia airport will take you to the small town of La Union. A few minutes from the AP7 motorway and adequately served by supermarkets, bars and restaurants. The La Manga strip and the idealic waters of the Mar Menor are a short drive away.
La Union, once an old mining town is now a busy market town with many places of historical interest.
The apartment itself is comprised of a lounge, kitchen area with dining table and chairs, 2 bedrooms and bathroom. A balcony to the front and spacious rooftop solarium, south facing to catch the winter sun.
A large communal swimming pool is only a stones throw away.
Many golf courses in the area and the prestigious La Manga golf club is closeby.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region
The Murcia area, which on average enjoys 320 days of sunshine each year is now very popular with holidaymakers and tourists looking for new places to visit and explore.
Murcia, the regions capital and University city is situated on the river Segura and boasts a beatiful Cathedral and other historic buildings. A 20 minute drive will take you there.
Cartagena, less than 10 kilometres from La Union is a naval port and one of Spains oldest. A modern shopping thoroughfare runs through the city and a trip to see its stunning architecture is well worth a visit on its own. A huge shopping and industrial complex can be found on the edge of the city and is only a few minutes drive from La Union. ( even has a C & A store)
Head north a few miles from La union and you will come to Los Alcazares with its miles of sandy beaches and numerous seaside bars and restaurants. Near San Pedro and towards the north end of the Mar Menor is another traditional Spanish town called Lo Pagan, famous for its mineral waters and Mud baths.
A few miles to the east of La Union is the world famous La Manga club. It boasts 3 Championship golf courses, 28 tennis courts and a football academy. It also contains the 5 star Regency Hyatt Hotel where the rich and famous spend their vacations.
La Manga Del Mar Menor / La Union area
The town of La Union, like many towns in the area has a popular weekly market and a summer festival in August, which includes one of the worlds most important flamenco festivals. A bus and train service connects the town with Cartagena, La Manga, the Mar Menor and (by bus) all the way to Torrevieja.
Holidaymakers wishing to visit the city of Cartagena may wish to let the train take the strain, as the centre of Cartagena can get very busy during the summer months and parking can be at a premium. A 10 minute journey from La Union is all it takes.
Take the family to the beaches on the Mar Menor (Minor sea) where the kids can swim safely as the lagoon is non tidal. One of the most popular and picturesque is the resort of Mar del Cristal. Pass through Los Belones on your return journey and you will find some excellent bars (English) and a variety of restaurants.
How to get there
Fly to either Murcia airport (San Javier) a 15 minute drive from La Union, or Alicante airport a further 45 minutes drive.
Easyjet, Flyglobespan and Ryanair tend to fly to Alicante airport, while Jet 2.com fly to Murcia.
A car is not strictly necessary, as La Union has a good bus and train service, however to take advantage of what the region has to offer a car is recommended. All major car hire firms operate from both airports and from Murcia airport to La Union the taxi fare should be under 30 euros.
