The apartment is ideally situated to the far end of the strip quite close to the end and yet near enough to get to some of the best bars and restaurants on the La Manga Strip. The Tomas Maestra Marina just a 20 minute walk away which provides the main hub of activity and also the chance to catch a boat trip or even a ferry across to San Javier(main land) for less than 5 euros per person.
The roof-top solarium has it all to help enjoy your holiday with its stunning views, ideal for private sun bathing and a seating area to enjoy a drink and something to eat from the BBQ... If relaxing is your thing then you can enjoy a lazy afternoon in the hammock and soak up the sun.
The apartments share a large communal pool and it has its own tennis court on site. There is a supermarket less than 2 minutes away which is well stocked and very reasonable on prices too!! Within 500 metres there is the famous Mud Beach of La Manga, where you can walk out into the sea and collect the mud, take it back to the shore and cover yourself and bake for a short while and then wash it all off and it is said to have spa like qualities...Why not give it a go? There is a beach-bar open too if its thirsty work in the sun.
So what it there to do in the Region? Activities around the Mar Menor, the La Manga Strip and other beaches of the Costa Calida focus on watersports of all kinds - sailing, windsurfing, kite-surfing, swimming and the Costa Calida also has two of the best dive locations in Europe – the Islas Hormigas Marine Preserve and Cabo Cope Marine Preserve.
Golf is featuring more and more nowadays with the established La Manga Club with it’s 3 championship golf courses being joined by others such as Hacienda del Alamo, Alto Real, La Serena, Mosa Trajectum, and the Polaris World golf courses such as Mar Menor Golf Resort, El Valle Golf Resort and La Torre Golf Resort and more and more coming along all the time.
There is a bus that run up and down the strip on a regular basis which makes getting around on the strip quite easy...why not go the the large market on a Sunday at Cabo de Palos and grab a bargain!!

The kitchen has a 4 ring ceramic hob, grill, oven, toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer, granite work tops... fully equipped. There is a separate utility which is also fully equipped with a Washing machine, clothes airer, cleaning equipment, iron, ironing board etc.The lounge/diner has seating for 5 people, coffee table, satellite TV with all major UK channels, sky news, Spanish sports channel, Music tv, kids channel etc. There is also a DVD player/CD player.
The 2 bedrooms are as follows: Bedroom1 king size bed, fitted wardrobes, and balcony overlooking the Marina. 2nd Bedroom has 2 single beds, fitted wardrobes, double doors to a balcony on the Marina also. Bathroom 1 has a Bath, shower, bidet, vanity unit, toilet and underfloor heating. Bathroom 2 has a shower cubicle, sink and toilet.
There is a hairdryer also available in the apartment for your use. Internal private stairway to the roof top solarium off the lounge terrace.

The main balcony has Stunning 57th floor, south-west facing, views overlooking the Thomas Maestre Marina and beyond to the Mar Menor. Outside table and 4 chairs. The smaller balconettes off the 2 bedrooms have views of the Marina and the Mar Menor. The Roof-top solarium has a table and 4 chairs, BBQ, 2 sun loungers, hammock, garden area, summer kitchen with sink. There is also a shower and toilet on the solarium. A intercom phone has been fitted so you know if there is anyone at the front door while your on the roof-top solarium.
Large communal pool, with children's pool and showers, also a tennis court on site too. Across the road is a 5 star hotel that is ready for opening Summer 2008 which will give further choice of restaurants within the area and even a Spa which is charged locally if you really want to treat yourself.

The Costa Calida region
The Costa Calida (Warm Coast) area is reputed to have one of the most pleasant climates in the world - according to the World Health Organisation. There are so many reasons for coming to this area and many people who come as holiday makers recognize this and eventually return to live here. The average hours of sunshine per day ranges from around 6 hours in winter to a full 12 hours at the height of summer. This compares to the London average of 1 hour in January and February to a maximum of 7 hours in June. Rain on the Costa Calida is rare, especially in the summer months.
La Manga del Mar Menor is a wonderful Mediterranean spot located 30 Km. North of Cartagena. La Manga's official slogan is A paradise between two Seas. La Manga del Mar Menor itself is a narrow wedge of land between two seas, the Mediterranean and the Mar Menor, measuring 21 km. in length. Flats, residences, luxurious villas, hotels, restaurants, discotheques, an important leisure port with a blue flag and magnificent recreational installations take up part of it. While the last few kilometers have been left practically in its natural state. La Manga has a large number of beaches totaling more than 40 km., with, in addition, the possibility of choosing between two seas with very different water temperatures, different degrees of salinity, one with waves and the other practically calm all year round.
La Manga, in itself, is a magnificent tourist spot, with hotels that makes up 50% of the regional total. In addition to a certain cosmopolitan atmosphere, one must add the beauty of its landscape, its special qualities for golf and water sports and an ample variety of entertainment and leisure activities.

CALBLANQUE NATURE RESERVE (LA MANGA)
Just south of La Manga, this has been a protected natural area since 1987 and nature reserve since 1992, Calblanque is an amalgamation of wonderful sand beaches, sandbanks, arid hills, cliff tops and salt flats all of great ecological value. This Nature Reserve represents one of the last untouched areas along the Mediterranean coastline.
CARTEGENA
At the southern end of the Costa Blanca, this ancient naval town is set in a magnificent sheltered bay. The best views can be obtained from the Castle la Concepcion in the Parque Torres. Keep an eye out for "La Linterna" an ancient lighthouse. Other interesting sights are the Gran Hotel, the Arsenal, the Town Hall the Casa Cervantes, the City Walls, the Palace of Pedreno and also the Isaac Perals submarine. Several festivals are held here during the year. The most notable of these is a Roman vs Carthaginian re-enactment of the battles that took place here in years gone by. Several Roman antiquities survive in this city, which is well worth a visit.
MURCIA
Is a modern commercial city and is well worth a visit to see its monuments and for shopping. The cathedral is a favourite as is the Roman Theatre, the Palace Almundi, Paseo de Malecon, the Casino Ballroom, Santa Catalina Square, the Episcopal Palace, the City hall and last but not least the wonderful Esplanade de Espana.
CARAVACA DE LA CRUZ
This is one of the World's 5 holy cities (including Jerusalem and Rome) and is situated in the heart of the beautiful Murcian countryside. At it's centre is the magnificent church that is surrounded by the knights templar fortress. Caravaca is a fascinating place to explore and is just one hour from the coast.
