Home description
Excellent Modern 4 floor two bedroom, two bathroom (one with bath/shower and the other a shower) apartment with air condtioning which has cold or warm air functions with first line views over the Mar Menor and Mediterranean Sea, There is an alocated parking space in the underground car park with lift up to the apartment from the car park directly. There is a large Kitchen and the utility room and both bedrooms have uninterrupted views over the Mar Menor sea. The lounge is comfortable and has TV, DVD and six seat dining table and this leads onto the terrace which has sea views on both sides. On the outside there is a large adult pool and a children's pools with shower facilities and this leads directly onto the Mediterranean beach. Also there is a full size paddle tennis court in front of apartment.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region
La Manga is situated approximately 80 miles south of Alicante on the Costa Calida and is famous for the La Manga Strip. This unique peninsular devides the Mediterranean Sea from the natural Lagoon known as the Mar Menor.
The Mar Menor is the largest natural lagoon in Europe and is very shallow. Due to this the sea is calmer and stays at an average temperature os 18 C throughout the year. The climate is ideal and has on average 300 sunny days annually.
Inland from the strip is the famous La Manga Club, which has the Hyatt 5 star Hotel, casino, and numerous good bars and restaurants. Also it has three championship golf courses and World class Tennis Facilities and a top Football training Academy and is used by many of the Worlds best Football teams, including Real Madrid and the England squad. Cricket is also played here. It is well worth a visit just to see the beautiful courses.
The two largest towns are Murcia which is the area capital. and Cartagena a coastal town which is home to the Spanish Navy as well. There are boat trips and Beautiful Architecture within the town and plenty to see and do. plus good harbour front bars and restaurants to sit and relax and watch the harbour activities going on.
There is fabulous shopping facilities within the town plus there is a large new shopping complex just built outside the town which houses a large indoor air condtioned shopping centre, as well as surrounded on the outside by furniture/DIY/Sportswear etc shops and Cinema.
La Manga Del Mar Menor / La Manga Strip area
The Mar Menor has numerous blue flag beaches to walk or relax on and water sports can be found either by hiring Jet Ski's or sailing clubs nearby. The waters are ideal for wind Surfing and Kite surfing which has a popular following in the area.
Boat charter/hIre is available in the area, along with Bikes and quad bikes.
Within walking distance there is a 5 star Hotel opened up in May 2008 that has three good bars and a Japanese restaurant and another that does good Mediterannean food.They also have some nights entertainment laid on.
There are local boat trips from the nearby Tomas Maestre Marina and also a ferry that goes every two hours to Santiago de las Riberia which has good sea front bars and restaurants and a good beach and a large local market which is worth a visit on Thursdays. Also in San Javier on the outside of the town is the Dos Mares Indoor shopping centre which is worth a visit if in the town. The Tomas Maestre marina has lots of bars and restaurants within a lovely setting with lots of different world foods where you can sit on the terraces outside beside the Mar Menor and see the fantastic sunsets in the warm evenings.
Cabo de Palos is at the beginning of the strip and the Harbour area is definetely worth a visit with great Fish restaurants and a Sunday out door Market where the locals get all their fruit and veg.
Half way down the strip there is a place called Zoco which has some good little shops to wander around in the evenings and also Bars and restaurants.
There is a nine hole golf course and drive range with golf shop and a nice bar within 5 min drive of apartment .
The far end of the strip is a conservation area ,with numerous protected salt marshes which are a haven for wild birds, this can only be reached by driving as far as you can up the strip from the San Javier end.
How to get there
La Manga strip is easily reached from Murcia (San Javier) airport on motorway which is approx 25 mins drive away, and the airport is situated on the Mar menor. There are frequent low cost flights to Murcia (San Javier) airport from most UK airports and you can check on the following web sites:

You can fly into Alicante Airport if you so wish but this is obviously further away and you would have to drive down the motorway to get to La Manga.

Further details indoors: Two good size bathrooms one with Bath/Shower and Bidet with Blue and white tiling and the other with Shower enclose cubicle with orange and white tiling,both have toilets and wash hand basins. The Kitchen is a good size with units on both sides which leads onto a utility room which has a small breakfast bar with an excellent view over the Mar Menor. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need whilst on Holiday. There is air conditioning in the Master Bedroom and Lounge area which also acts as a heater,plus there is a modern remote control ceiling fan (variable speed) in Bedroom 2. Bedroom one also has a patio window that leads onto the balcony, plus all bedrooms have uninterupted views of the Mar Menor Lagoon. Both bedrooms have large double wardrobes plus Large revolving mirrors with additional shelf units behind and bedside cabinets and lights. The comfortable lounge/Diner leads straight onto the terrace through a patio door which has a good quality mosaic tiled table and four chairs and the balcony is enclosed by glass panels. The Mar Menor and the Mediterranean can both be seen from the Balcony area. The apartment has its own garage space which is under the apartments and reached by a security electric door and is nice and cool in the Hot Climate.. The allocated space is directly next to the lift which takes you up to the 4th Floor and leads onto a spacious hallway where you will find the apartment entrance. You can also enter the apartment by parking in the road by the side of the apartment and coming through the main ground floor entrance which has a good size entrance through a glass door. Outside there is a full size paddle tennis court and two pools ( 1 adult and 1 children and a small children play area. There is a nice beach bar just across the road that also serves meals as well where you can sit overlooking the beach and the Mar Menor whilst have a nice cold drink and listening to the music. Plus they understand English which may be of use to you.
Further details outdoors: The building is located on one of the narrowest parts of the La Manga Strip beside the Mediterranean and Mar Menor sea with excellent beaches and uninterupted views. There is a communal swimming pool (one for adults and one for children) surrounnded by decking and grass areas. There is a full size paddle tennis court and paved areas around the apartment along with a paved promenade between the apartments and beach with seat benches. On Mar Menor side there are two beaches with tasteful beach bars directly near the apartment and a moderm well equipped supermarket within a 10 min walk. Nearby is the Tomas Maestre Marina which has numerous bars and restaurants and larger supermarkets to cater for everyone tastes.

NB: Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion.
