The penthouse is ideal for a lively family of 6 who want to enjoy the water sports and the beach; or for a romantic couple who just want to get away from all the hustle and bustle of a holiday resort.

The Tomas Maestre Marina is a wonderful place to wander around and watch the boats, but you can also hire one for the day and they will take to a small island for lunch. Or you can have lunch at one of the many international restaurants in the Marina. You will also find small fashion boutiques and late night karaoke bars (not too loud that they disturb us!!) We love the quiet life of a walk to the Paqcebote Restaurant to pick up a UK newspaper and a fresh loaf of bread and spend the day resting and BBQing on the solarium, but the more energetic can swim in the pool, learn how to scuba dive or take a bike ride and much, much more. It is up to you, what ever you like doing on holiday, you won’t be diassapointed.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region

The La Manga Strip is a unique location in Europe. Where else would you find the Mediterranean on one side and a large lagoon on the other? There is only one road in and one road out, so it is a very safe location. The beaches are never crowded even in summer as there is 22 km of beaches running up and down the strip. As well as this, there are many beach bars, water sports, restaurants and other activities. There is a bus which runs constantly up and down the strip, so you do not need a car, unless you want to explore further a field. On a Sunday there is a huge market at Cabo de Palos at the stat of the La Manga Strip and on a Wednesday many holiday makers take the ferry across to San Diego de Ribera to the market and shops. There are also boat trips from the Tomas Maestre Marina.

The Spanish are well known for their fiestas and holidays. If you pick up the local English paper you will find out what is going on in the area when you are visiting. In September there is a Roman fiesta at Cartagena which can not be missed and there are many processions in the Santa Semana (Easter holidays) even in the small villages. From the solarium you will often see firework displays on the other side of the Mar Menor when the sun has set, which can be quite a spectacle.

How to get there

The are many cheap flights to the Region of Murcia, the nearest airport is Murcia (San Javier which is 40 mins away, but we also use Alicante airport as this is only 40 minutes away. Many companies fly to this region including Monarch, Flybe, BMI baby, Globespan, Jet2, Ryanair, Easy Jet to name a few. Form the airpeort you can hire a car or take a taxi. If you wish we can arrange an airport transfer for you, providing it is booked prior to your departure.

The penthouse is furnished and equipped to a high standard. There is a cream leather suite in the lounge with a dining table and 4 chairs (2 chairs can be brought in from out side, but we rarely eat inside ) There is a table and 6 chairs outside on the first floor. There is another table on the second floor with 6 chairs and on the top floor (solarium ) there is a dining table and 6 chairs, so all you have to do is decide where you want to eat!!! Sun or shade. The kitchen is fully fitted and even has a juicer, so when you go to the market you must remember to buy lots of oranges and make fresh orange juice.

The penthouse is part of the Marinesco 1 and 2 complex, which is very well kept by the community. The three swimming pools are open from May to October (please check at time of booking ) There are also a tennis court and communal gardens which is well stocked with plants. With in walking distance you will find a supermarket, bike and car hire, the Tomas Maestre Marina with all of the water sports and restaurants. There is something for everyone here.

Further details

A booking can be accepted on any day of the week. We will require £100 key guarantee, this will be refunded after you have left the property and the house keepers have checked for breakages. Full payment is required 8 weeks before arrival. You will be met by our Property Managers either at the airport or at the property and they will show you the property. If you have any problems during your visit they will be on hand to help you.

Wheelchair users please note that we are on the 5th 6 th and 7th floor, there is lift access to the 5th floor. On the 5th floor there is a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and lounge.
