Home description

I love this apartment, where else can you almost touch the sea from you balcony. In between the apartment and the sea is a sculptured pool, surrounded by artificial grass. Just 20 metres away is one of the nicest restaurants on the La Manga Strip, with tables on the waters edge offering fish from the region and in the summer a great steak BBQ. There is also a super market and a bakery with in walking distance as well as several other restaurants and bars.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region

The Region of Murcia is a beautiful Region, sometimes know as the market garden of Spain. Tomaotoes, lettuce, onions, melons, cotton all grow around the Mar Menor, with grapes, soft fruit, oranges and almonds growing in the hillier regions. The Region boasts 320 days of sunshine and if you are unlucky enough to have some rain it usually blows through with in a matter of hours. Very little rain, if any, falls between May and September. There are some fabulous places to visit if you feel like hiring a car such as Cartagena, a naval port, Murcia City, the capital and Caravacca de la Cruz, which is one of the 5 holy cities in the world. During the Spring and Summer there is a wealth of Fiestas in the area, which visitors are very welcome to take part in.

La Manga Del Mar Menor / Veneciola area

If you like a beach holiday, then you will not want to hire a car. There are two beaches on either side of the La Manga Strip. The Mar Menor is usually as still as a mill pond, whilst the Med encourages kite surfing and fishing. I like to take a 40 minute walk along the edge of the water up the one beach and down the other side, stopping only for a glass of wine at one of the restaurants to watch the sun go down over the Mar Menor, we have some spectacular sunsets. In a 5 monute stroll there is a 9 hole pitch and putt golf course and practice range. There is a bus which runs up and down the La Manga Strip every hours and will take you to the Marina or the shopping area of Zoco or Plaza Bohemia.

How to get there

There are two airports in the Region San Javier (murcia) is 40 minu=tes away and Alicante is about 90 minutes away. You can hire a car from the airport or our Property Managers will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the property. There are many cheap flights to Murcia and Alicante with Easy Jet, Monarch, Jet2, BMI baby, globespan, Ryanair to name a few

This fabulous apartment has been designed in a contemporary style, which can be enjoyed by all the family. The two single beds can be zipped together to make another double bed if required, prior notice essential. We can also supply a z bed, travel cot and high chair if required, prior notice essential.

With in a two minute walk you will find a 9 hole golf course, which is very popular with our guests. The Tomas Maestre Marina is 3 km away and there you will be able to hire a boat, hire a bike or car, take the ferry to San Dieago de Ribera, go scuba diving or kite surfing, or just enjoy the many bars and restaurants

Bookings can be made from any day of the week. We will require a key deposit of £100 to cover any breakages; this will be refunded after the house keepers have inspected the property. Full payment is required 8 weeks prior to arrival. You will be met by our Property Managers and they will be on hand during your stay should you require any assistance

Guestbook

This is a new apartment and is available from April 2008. As we have not had anyone staying hear, I can not put a comment. However we used to own an aprtment behind this apartment and we loved it. You can watch the sun rise over the Med and have breakfast on the balcony even in winter.
