Located 3km down La Manga Strip with the best views in the area. A quiet and peaceful setting, with the beaches of the Mar Menor and Med a short walk away. This is an ideal location for a family holiday or a romantic break for a couple. The area is quiet and relaxing, but only a short walk from the plazas with their restaurants and bars, night markets etc. Ideal for a beach holiday, the Mar Menor, with its safe shallow waters and the beautifulor Mediterranean are only a short walk away or a relaxing holiday by the pool.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region

Nestling at the bottom of the Costa Blanca, the Costa Calida is one of the least known and most unspoilt regions of Spain, guaranteed to give you a taste of "real Spain".

With over 315 days of sunshine every year it is little wonder that the Costa Calida means "warm coast" and the unspoilt inland waters of the Mar Menor, the largest natural lagoon in Europe, offer safe and warm water bathing all year round.

The area is best know for the La Manga Club resort, renowned for its three championship golf courses, LTA Tennis Centre Training Ground and being the training ground of visiting football teams from Spain, the UK and the whole of Europe. There are over 22 tennis courts with the option of booking tennis coaching on an hourly or weekly basis. Short tennis, squash courts, bowling green and pitch and putt to name but a few of the sporting attractions. The Hyatt hotel is a fabulous 5 Star Hotel and more, with Pool Restaurant and now the newly opened Spa. Spoil yourself with a treatment from a manicure to the full 90 minute signature Lavender Massage with facial. For the evening there are over 30 restaurants and bars to dine in and to relax and enjoy yourself. These range in style and price from the Amapola Restaurant at the Hyatt which is superb but a little expensive to Si bar for inexpensive dining with family entertainment.

The area has so much more to offer and it doesnt stop with La Manga Club. There are 8 further golf courses of an excellent standard, and a further 12 under development.

La Manga Strip ... the "sleeve" of land that runs from Cabo de Palos in the south to San Pedro in the north is 18km long and encloses the warm tranquil waters of the Mar Menor to the west and has the livelier colder Mediterranean to the east. The Strip is up to 1km wide in parts and in others is is merely 100m allowing only for the road to run through with a beach on either side. La Manga Strip is a town in its own right, albeit an long thin one! There are shopping centres, restaurants and bars set in plazas or squares. The marina at the Puerto Tomas Maestre is beautiful and houses some stunning boats and yachts that most of us can only dream of, the restaurants are excellent both for quality and price and the atmosphere is wonderful.

Water sports ... well there could not be a better or safer place to learn to sail, jet ski or kite board. The area has a number of sailing schools with a wide range of boats and dinghies on which to learn to sail or to brush up your sailing skills. Diving is a popular sport and there are a number of different diving schools offering anything from the beginners course to night dives for the more expereinced diver. The dive around Isla Grosa, for example, takes around 1 hour and takes your through the magnificent quartz caves.

La Manga Del Mar Menor / La Manga Strip area

This narrow strip of land 18kms long offers the choice of two seas - the Mar Menor on one side, ideal for watersports and the Mediterranean, perfect for fishing and underwater exploration. Down `the strip' you'll find a host of restaurants and bars to choose from and soak up the buzzing nightlife of Plaza Bohemia and Zoco.

Further down is Tomas Maestre marina with over one thousand moorings and a range of bars and restaurants. There are pleasure cruise boats which will take you to the Islands of the Mar Menor or just for an hours cruise around the Mar Menor and even a foot ferry from the Tomas Maestre to San Diego de la Ribera. This a very popular and cheap way of getting around the Mar Menor.

The apartment is ideally situated with plenty for everyone to do. Whether you want to just relax with a good book and a beer by the pool, or want to race around on the go carts ... it is up to you it is all on hand.

Plaza Bohemia, is just a short 5 min walk, and has a daily evening market, cool and funky bars or sophisticated restaurants. It is also the home to the "Steak House" serving traditional English fare. San Remo Restaurant is another restaurant very popular with the locals as it serves excellent food at low prices. Gregory"s Restaurant is situated in Monte Blanco and is one of the best restaurants in the area with Char grilled meats and fishes and fantastic salads.

Peke Park is an ideal place to take the children to tire them out. Whilst it isn't the attraction in Spain it is fun, cheap and on the doorstep! It caters for the younger child with a number of inflated bouncy castle style slides, and several rides but no rollercoasters. There are further restaurants and a supermarket next to Peke Park and 5mins from the apartment. The Strip is traditionally very very Spanish, which means that families dine out on the pavement cafes until all hours of the night, the shops are open selling inflatables and other essential items until 11pm! There are hundreds of fantastic shoe shops and "factory second shoe shops".

The beaches on the Med are long and sandy with beach bars every few hundred yards. The Mar Menor is warm and shallow with tranquil waters and ideal for children and "non" swimmers as the high salt and mineral concentrations of the waters give additional buoyancy. You need to walk about 100yards before the water comes up to your waist. There are 12 sailing schools on the Mar Menor, Jet Ski Hire, Kite Surfing ... you name it and it is somewhere near.

There is a market everyday somewhere near ... the biggest being at Cabo de Palos on a Sunday.

The whole aspect of the apartment is orientated towards the stunning view of the Mar Menor and the islands, through the double patio doors off the lounge, which open onto a large sun terrace with patio furniture . The accommodation is laid out as a double bedroom with fitted wardrobes, large spacious lounge/diner with TV, DVD and CD player, patio doors and views of the Mar Menor sea.

The apartment has air conditioning in the lounge and bedroom, There is a separate fully fitted kitchen with oven and hob, fridge freezer and washing machine. The kitchen has a hatchway into the lounge. The apartment is very spacious and the lounge is large, light and airy.

Outside there are two communal swimming pools, with children's pools. One has a little bridge over the top of it! Relax and enjoy a good book lying by the pool. There is an underground parking space in a secure car park ... so you dont have to climb into a hot car in the summer.

Located 3km down La Manga Strip with the best views in the area. A quiet and peaceful setting but with the beaches on the Mar Menor and Med a short walk. At the bottom of the hill there is Peke Park which is a mini water park and centre great for children.

Swimming pools are open from April through to end of October. Price includes linen and towels but you must bring your own beach towels. A Welcome pack of tea coffee, milk sugar, water, juice and wine is provided with other items available on request. Mid week clean and linen change for bookings of over 10 days .

Travel cot and highchair can be provided Free of charge, subject to availability. Just let me know and put it on the booking form.

Conditions

Damage deposit of 200GBP will be held and returned after the rental provided the apartment is returned in good order.
