The Verdemar III apartment is a spacious luxury 2 bedroom apartment situated on the 1st floor and has a large outside terrace (14 square mtrs) with table and chairs for alfresco dining. It's set in a lovely landscaped gardens with palm trees. There is an outdoor pool with spa (summer months) and an Indoor pool with sauna (winter months). For small children there is an outdoor play area and a small children's pool. There is also an indoor gym for the health conscious adult !.
The complex also offers communal Wi Fi facility, secure video link entrance and secure car parking, with individual lifts servicing two apartments per floor.

Communal Wi fi is available at NO EXTRA COST and therefore NO REFUNDS can be given should there be any interruption with this service, as it is beyond our control.
Conditions
Strictly NO smoking except on terrace.
£100 additional deposit is taken to secure your booking and held against cancellation, damage to property or loss of keys. This will be refunded at the end of your stay subject to conditions.
If full payment is not received by the date agreed ( 6 weeks prior to holiday ) we reserve the right to cancel your booking in writing and make the dates available to let at the loss of any deposit previously made.
THE APARTMENT WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM 16.00HRS ON DAY OF ARRIVAL AND VACATED BY 12 NOON ON DAY OF DEPARTURE. ( this may be flexible with prior agreement depending on other bookings and time of year ).

The Mar Menor region is ideal for sports and recreation. The gentle shallow warm waters of the Mar Menor are an ideal place to learn and enjoy doing all kinds of water sports such as kayaking and wind surfing and for the less adventurous amongst us there are pedalos to hire!!, For the budding Lewis Hamilton's amongst you, there is a 3 level go kart track near by.
The natural healing properties of the waters of the Mar Menor are widely renown and very popular with the Spanish community and holiday makers alike. The Mar Menor is known to be 3 to 4 degrees warmer to that of the Mediterranean
The winters are very mild, very rarely falling below 10ºC.
The La Manga Del Mar Menor / Playa Honda area
Playa Honda is a small Village situated on the beaches of the Mar Menor (Europe's largest salt water lagoon) which is in the province of Murcia. This coastal area boasts one of the most moderate climates in Spain, with more sunshine than mainland areas and water temperatures higher than the average.
The shallow waters and absence of tides make it ideal for children and a paradise for all types of water sport lovers, for which there are many teaching facilities in the surrounding area.
Verdemar III is also well located for the golfer. The nearest course being the renown La Manga Club approximately an 8 minute drive away and many others within the region.
Also, nearby for nature lovers, walkers and cyclist's there is the Calblanque National Park Nature Reserve and tranquil beaches.
Playa Honda is nestled between Los Belones and La Manga Strip, which is well known for it's night life (high season) and has a wide variety of restaurants and bars and Cabo De Palas with it's quaint working marina and wide variety of fish restaurants. It also has many Dive Schools on hand, as this area is regarded as one of the best location for marine life. There is also a large Sunday market, with "everything" including local crafts and produce, not to be missed ! Los Belones Village, with it's weekly fruit market and a variety of cafes and restaurants are all within 5 minutes drive.
Within Playa Honda village itself are a handful of bars and restaurants including a few beach bars, offering good food and friendly service. There is also a pharmacy and a small local supermarket with a good selection of Spanish and British food, within 5 minute walking distance.
The City of Cartagena predates to the Roman period. It has many places of archaeological interest, amongst them a Roman Amphitheatre as well as a modern Marina and a variety of designer shops in the old town.
A new addition for the shopaholic is the large new shopping centre (Espacio Mediterraneo) all within approximately 20 minute drive from Playa Honda.

Playa Honda is approximately 25 minutes drive from Murcia airport (San Javier).
An alternative airport is Alicante, which is approximately one hours drive away.
There are many low cost airlines flying to both destinations

There is no public transport available from either airport to the apartment, however taxi's are plentiful at both airports and we also have a person of contact and can enquire if they are available for a pick up on your behalf.

We stayed 27 Oct - 3rd Nov, the complex was always clean and tidy, and the apartment was immaculate, we rent apartments regularly and this gains full marks. It had everything we needed for a very comfortable week and with it being out of season, having some heating there was welcome. Booking the apartment was really easy and the owners were really helpful and did everything to ensure we had a good time. The area was quiet at this time of year but we still managed to enjoy some good meals out at the campsite restaurant down on the beach, and Brambles. We enjoyed days out at Portman Guns, Cabo, Cartegena, and enjoyed walking along the beachfront in both directions to other resorts. We used the indoor pool on the complex and the gym. The complex and the area felt really safe, and the friendliest part of Spain we have been to. You could see the sea from the apartment and it was only a 2 minute walk to the beach. We would love to go back!! |

We visited this apartment in the Verdemar III complex in Playa Honda in June 2010. Our positive experience of it began with the booking process, as Paulette and Yolanda were always very quick to return emails and were very friendly, helpful and efficient in answering any questions and accommodating any requests. They were also on hand to give us a warm welcome when we arrived and they had arranged the very thoughtful addition of some essentials in the fridge for us. The flexible start day and flexible duration of the let was really helpful to us, as we wanted to stay for 10 days and had a late flight home. It was lovely to be able to take our time getting organised on the last day and to have somewhere to relax until it was time to go home. We were familiar with the area and the complex, as we'd stayed in another apartment a couple of years earlier, so we knew that Playa Honda was a nice quiet area, the complex was really nice and the apartments were right across the road from the beach. There is a small supermarket within a short walking distance and a couple of bars and restaurants nearby too. We tended to stock up in the large supermarket at the retail park near Cartagena, but I would say that the local shop and restaurants were very reasonably priced. A great new thing since our last visit is the pathway between Playa Honda and the next town, which skirts the nature reserve. We were able to go for a walk or a run along there most evenings. In terms of the complex itself, the little heated indoor pool was still open as it was early on in the season. This was great, as our son had just learned to swim and he loved jumping in and swimming back endlessly! The outdoor pool was a little on the chilly side, but I'd imagine as the weather got warmer, it would warm up a bit too. The kids playpark was great for smaller kids and there are another couple of playparks within a short distance from the apartment too. In terms of the apartment, it was perfect for us. Very modern and easy to keep clean (the throws for the sofas were a great idea to avoid small sandy children getting them mucky!). It's very spacious and the balcony is lovely to sit and eat out on. You can see from the apartment listing on holidaylettings that everything you could need is provided. All in all we had a lovely holiday - if we were planning to go to Spain again soon, we would definitely give serious thought to going to going back to this apartment. |

l'accueil est très rapide et convivial grâce à Paulette. Réelle efficacité. Appartement idéal pour couple + 2 enfants, propre et bien équipé Le site est vraiment très bien avec la piscine La mer est à 2 pas , jogging et ballade, mer cristalline et chaude, Accès autoroute proche, donc on circule très facilement dans la région seul bémol, les espagnol, bruyants même le soir! mais on s'habitue et on prend le rythme |
