Set on the unique and Beautiful La Manga Strip (Spain's best kept secret) this Luxury apartment is front-line to the beach and Mediterranean Sea and boasts one of the best, if not the best position on the whole of the La Manga Strip. There is a large Balcony which overlooks the pool, the beautiful sandy beach and the Mediterranean Sea. Ideal for relaxing/dining whilst taking in the views of the local fishermen taking in their nets, the Luxury Yachts leaving the Marina or just relaxing and taking in the stunning views.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region

La Manga is situated approximately 80 miles south of Alicante on the Costa Calida and is famous for the La Manga Strip. This unique strip divides the Mediterranean Sea from the natural Lagoon know as The Mar Menor.
The Mar Menor is the largest natural salt water lagoon in Europe and is well known for its shallow warm waters. Due to this the sea is calmer and stays at an average temperature of 18c throughout the year. The climate is very good all year round and is frequently around 90c during the summer months.
The Strip consists of numerous Hotels, Bars, Cafes, Restaurants with beaches on both coastlines.
There are two harbours including the very Cosmopolitan Marina to which there are numerous sailing club and ferries operating to such places as Santiago de Ribera with its weekly street Markets.

Inland from the strip within a short drive away is the World Famous La Manga Golf Complex which is home to a 5 star Hotel, Casino, Bars and Restaurants alongside 3 championship golf courses. It also boasts a top Football Coaching Academy and is also used for training purposes by many of the worlds best Football Clubs, including the England squad.

The beautiful historic City of Cartagena is also only a short drive away with its fabulous shopping and the most beautiful Port and historic Buildings. The port has an interesting boat trip that gives you an insight of the history and local culture.


La Manga Del Mar Menor / La Manga Strip area

Many of the local beaches on the Mar Menor are well known for the therapeutic clay which can be found by wading out into the water, this is full of minerals and salts and the local folk cover their skin with it and bake in the sun. This is said to be good for skin complaints, rheumatism and arthritis. There are regular boat and ferry trips from the Marina which is a 5 minute walk away. You can also hire or charter a boat or hire Jet Ski's from the Marina to explore this wonderful coastline.
The Marina itself boasts a wealth of excellent Restaurants, Cafes were you can sit out and enjoy watching the sun going down over the Mar Menor and the mountains beyond.

Externally there is a shared private pool together with gardens and a shallow pool area for the children.
On the Balcony you will find outdoor seating and table facilities for 6 adults.

Further details

A £100 booking deposit per week booked is payable to confirm the booking.
The rental balance together with the £150 refundable damage deposit are then due 8 weeks prior to your arrival.

The £150 damage deposit will be refunded (subject to a satisfactory inspection of the property) within 2 weeks of handing back the keys to our house keeper.

A cleaning and linen hire charge of €65 euros is payable per booking to the house keeper on arrival.

Clean bedding and towels are provided however please may we ask that you bring your own beach towels.

Taxi transfers to and from the airport together with High Chairs, Cots and welcome packs are available at an extra charge, please request details.

Our Housekeeper speaks English and will be able to answer any questions.



Conditions

A £100 booking deposit per week booked is payable to confirm the booking with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to arrival together with a £150 refundable damage deposit.

The £150 damage deposit will be refunded (subject to a satisfactory inspection of the property) within 2 weeks of your departure.

A cleaning and linen hire charge of €65 euros is payable to the house keeper on arrival.

Strictly No Smoking inside the property however smoking is permitted on the Balcony.

This was our second trip to Spain but the first to La Manga, and from the moment we arrived at Playa Principe we all fell in love with this place!
Best location on the whole La Manga Strip. Walking distance to the Thomas Maestre Marina, restaurants, shops, cafes (Internet Cafe), banks.
The view from the balcony and every window in the apartment is fantastic- white sandy beach and blue sea. Sitting on the balcony at night was so relaxing, sipping a glass of good Spanish wine, listening to the sound of waves and watching the lights along the coast.!! Wow!!!

Highlights of our holiday were trips to historic city of Cartagena and ferry trips across Mar Menor to Santiago de Ribera to the weekly street Market. The ferry leaves from the marina every 2 hours and costs 4 euros/person. The bus to Cartagena has its first stop on the Strip and cost around 3 euros.

The building and the apartment are beautiful - spotlessly clean and only three apartments on the floor !!! Remember to wipe your feet when coming back from the beach!!!!
The housekeepers - wonderful couple! Very helpful and attentive, going out of their way to please!!!

The owners deserve the biggest applause - John always returned my emails in a timely manner and even set up a Paypal account for fast and secure payments.
Thank You John and Gill for a wonderful memories!!!
It was worth it to fly across Atlantic Ocean (7 hrs) to spend two weeks in your 5 star Luxury apartment in La Manga.!!!!

"This being our first time of booking direct, from the moment we booked with John we felt very assured as nothing seemed to much trouble.
Once we arrived we where then guided round by the housekeepers who we found to be a most welcoming helpful and professional couple.
The apartment is fantastic, spotlessly clean and a credit to the housekeepers and John and Gill. The views overlooking the white sandy beach and Mediterranean Sea are spectacular with a huge balcony to match - ideal for dining or taking a siesta with a nice bottle of wine to hand whilst watching the world go by!!
This being our first time to La Manga we didn’t really know what to expect, but the area is just sheer heaven with blue sea and white beaches on both sides, still very much Spanish and laid back with a culture being centred around lots of little café bars, waterside restaurants etc which are about 5 to 10 minutes stroll away on the most beautiful of Marina’s - looks every bit like a millionaires playground!
We didn’t hire a car being we only had 7 days as we found everything we needed for a perfect family holiday was close by or on the Marina. The beach and sea in front of the apartment are superb, ideal for swimming and in our case with children who didn’t want to do much other than beach pool and sea!!
You can even do your shopping at the Supermarket, who will then put everything into a container and deliver free of charge!
Highly recommended for a perfect laid back cultured holiday, with the bonus of being only 2 and half hours away together with a rarity of glorious sunny weather.
Thanks John, we will be back but for longer next time.

The apartment is stunning, with views from every window that take your breath away.
We found the positioning of the apartments fantastic which suited us girls right down to the ground. Breakfast on the balcony then straight down the lift onto one of the beaches to soak up the sun, quick dip into the sea to cool off, shower, change, then onto the Marina for the evening to sample the many delightful traditional restaurants and bars along the water’s edge. Afterwards, we sat out on the balcony until the early hours, just chatting with a glass of good Spanish wine in hand watching the beautiful light show along the coast, sheer bliss.
We all found the area to be very traditional and felt very safe. We would have no hesitation in recommending this part of La Manga to anyone regardless of age. It really does cater for everyone with the exception perhaps if you are looking for a vibrant night life and clubs that are open until 5 in the morning. For us, thank goodness La Manga is not that kind of place. It’s classy, traditional but without the rowdiness. No wonder the Spanish love it……..we do too.
There’s plenty to do and lots to see. The ferry to Santiago and its Market, operate on a two hourly basis or you can take cruises around the coast. The 1 hourly bus which stops right outside the apartment, travels up and down the strip and onto the must see beautiful city of Cartagena.
We found the owners to be very professional and obliging, so to the housekeepers who picked us up from the airport.

Absolutely brilliant. From the moment we arrived and were shown in by the housekeeper, we were speechless. The apartment is stunning, spotlessly clean and has everything and more you could wish for! Photographs on the web-site do not do this justice - it is fantastic! Every morning before breakfast we swam in the sea or the pool, the kids loved it then had breakfast on the huge balcony overlooking the Med, brilliant! We did hire a car from the airport but found everything we needed closeby within easy walking distance. The beaches are fantastic with all the water-sports and long beautiful walks, and when we fancied a change we hopped on the ferry to the street market in Santiago, never a dull moment!! Not normally one to give recommendations but this does really deserve one..I would recommend this apartment to anyone, it really does cater for any age group. If you want the hustle and bustle, its 5-10 min walk away! if you want the beauty, piece and quiet and fantastic views - its right there around the apartment. A perfect allrounder!! Fantastic place, thank you John and Gill for all your help in providing us with the best holiday in ages. Hope to be back again soon.

This apartment has certainly got the Wow factor!! Absolutely stunning with views that take your breath away!!
This place has everything! Beautiful beaches in front and to the rear. And only 5 minutes walk along the beaches to all the amenities bars, banks, shops, supermarkets. We ate in a different Restaurant each night on the Marina and could not fault any! On the odd occasion we needed bits and pieces the supermarket on the Marina fulfilled our needs and even offered to deliver!
Already booked again for 2 weeks next year with the owners, who we found very helpful. Can't wait to get back!! Fantastic uncommercialised part of Spain. Highly recommended. No wonder its Spain best kept secret!!
