About the home

A spacious three bedroom second floor apartment situated at the southern end of the Mar Menor just a short drive from La Manga. For 4 people or less the apartment can be rented out as a 2 bedroom at a reduced rate.

The beach, marina, supermarkets and bars of Mar de Cristal are less than a five minute walk.
The property shares a communal pool and has lift access to all floors.

The TV has a DVD player with small selection of DVDs. It is advisable to bring some with you as there are no Spanish or English channels in the apartment.

Mar de Cristal beach

The Costa Calida region

There are several protected areas within a short drive, Calblanque and Salinas bird sanctuary being 5 minutes away and the Sierra de Carrascoy regional park just 25 minutes.

The La Manga Strip is a short drive and has a host of restaurants and bars and the nearby fishing village of Cabo de Palos boasts some of the best fish restaurants in the area.

Going West is Cartagena that sits on the Costa Calida within Murcia. Despite the scruffy views as you enter the city, you will find within, a wealth of history and beautiful architecture. Along the port area which is used by the Navy, there are an array of restaurants when you can sit and relax around the harbour. You also have the Roman Ampitheatre plus many other historic sites to explore.

Further afield, the regional capital of Murcia is about 30 minutes drive and has a host of fine buildings and shops.

The La Manga Del Mar Menor / Mar De Cristal area

Mar de Cristal has always been known for its crystal clear waters and is perfectly situated to take advantage of the towns of El Algar and Los Belones and the harbour town of Cartagena. The development is just a short distance from the popular La Manga area where you can enjoy the top class La Manga Golf Club Resort with its lively international atmosphere and many amenities such as casinos, shops, restaurants and of course the three championship golf courses.

For a special day out visit the La Manga beach club (not to be confused with La Manga Golf Resort) at the end of the strip where you can stay all day using their beach facilities, pool, private beach, bar and restaurant.

Mar de Cristal has excellent safe beaches, a tiled promenade and a marina. The Mar Menor is indeed crystal clear and is a mecca for all kinds of water sports, sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing, scuba or just swimming.
Golf is never far away here with the World famous La Manga Club being just a 5 minute drive, the 3 courses of Villamartin, Campoamor and Las Ramblas 30 minutes North.
