The Apartment is located just one minutes’ walk from the beaches, of the MAR MENOR AND THE MEDITERRANEAN, two completly different seas to swim in!!
The outskirts of La Manga often referred to as one of Spain’s best kept secrets. Quiet and peaceful, yet only thirty minutes from the larger resorts such as Cartagena, the apartment has easy access to all amenities, including the local market for bargain hunting, and many excellent restaurants for eating out, and a plethora of Watersports. The Apartment benefits from its own pool, with a shallow end perfect for the children. Leading from the living room is a spacious balcony with sea views, furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco. There is plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay. Numerous Safe Sandy Beaches within a minutes walk, and 2 different seas, to choose from.

A car is not neccasary once you are at the apartment, as there are local Shops, Bars, Restaurants and a Chemist, all a short walk away.
A bus service will take you to the Port, and a Ferry can be caught to the Holiday Town of San Javier, (where the Murcia Airport is ) Or it will take you up the 16 mile spit, to the other local towns and the main Historic town of Cartagena.
A bike hire service is available locally, and there are lots of cycle paths.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region
It is located at the far end of the the Mar Menor beside the golden Costa Calida, on a 18km strip of land, that separates 2 seas, some times is width is no wider than 200mtrs. Cartagena is the nearby major town, which has places of interest, and lots of history.
The presence of many underwater archaeological sites, sunken ships have turned the area of La Manga and Cabo de Palos into one of the most popular spots for divers from all over Spain. Diving clubs and schools exist both at Cabo de Palos and in La Manga and these organize courses throughout the year with daily trips by boat and offering equipment to rent for the newcomers.
La Manga Del Mar Menor / Veneciola area
The Mar Menor,is the largest salt-water lagoon in Europe and has a surface area of nearly 170km², (60 square miles) it is non-tidal, crystal clear, and with average water temperature of 23 degrees.
It has a coastal length of 70km, and warm and clear water which does not exceed 7m in depth, it is "the largest swimming pool in the world"
This part of La Manga is peaceful, beaches of serene thermal waters, rich in iodine and salt minerals.
The waters register a saline content of 50% (the highest in Europe) and are scientifically recognized as being therapeutic in the treatment of rheumatism, arthritis and many other ailments.
A PARADISE FOR NAUTICAL SPORTS Throughout the length of La Manga there are ten teaching centres (Escuelas de Vela) which means that no one need travel far to practice the water sport of their choosing. All of the centres offer the best and most up-to-date equipment with courses in sailing and wind-surfing tutored by qualified instructors who normally speak at least one language other then Spanish - normally English and/or German.

BEDDING - we have duvets and pillows in the apartment, so you will need to take your own duvet covers (double), pillow cases, under sheets and towels.
