The Costa Calida region
Costa Calida means 'WARM COAST' and is situated to the south of the Costa Blanca, on the east Mediterranean coast, starting with the Province of Murcia and runs south towards Almeria. Costa Calida has breathtaking mountains, fertile agricultural land and miles of beautiful Blue Flag beaches making this a very typically un spoilt part of Spain.
The weather on the Costa Calida is the best in Spain . Winters are warmer and drier than any other part of Spain making the climate not only enjoyable but also beneficial from a health point of view. The average year round temperature is 20°C and there are approximately 320 days of sunshine per year, low humidity and very low rainfall making it a near perfect climate. The Costa Calida offers you the very best of Spain - without the expensive price tag.
Blessed by the mild Mediterranean climate it has at least 315 days of sun per year. Minimum temperatures range between 12-14C and maximum temperatures between 20-22C in winter. Summer temperatures vary between 18-20C minimum and between 30-35C maximum. The average annual temperature is 18C.
The two main provinces in this region are MURCIA and Almeria. This stretch of coastline runs from San Pedro del Pinatar, at the northern end of the Mar Menor to south of Puerto de Mazarron. It is in two parts; the most northerly section consists of the La Manga peninsula and Mar Menor, the southerly section extends from the promontory of Cabo de Palos to the resort town of Aguilas.
La Manga Del Mar Menor
The La Manga Strip is just 22km long, separating the Mediterranean from the Mar Menor on Spain's Costa Calida. The beautiful sandy beaches and unprecedented range of conditions for water sports have made villas on the La Manga Strip some of the most highly regarded on the whole Mediterranean Coast. Ideal for family holidays with safe, sheltered blue flag beaches and more activities you could imagine, holiday rentals on the La Manga Strip are a fantastically well kept secret
