A beautiful detached 3 bed villa with roof top terrace and private pool situated in mature gardens. The villa has an open plan lounge/diner, with 2 twin bedrooms and 1 double bedroom. Outside you will find a shaded area with table and chairs for some "al fresco" dining. The safe sandy beaches of the warm Mar Menor are just 2 minutes walk away. Water sports are available on the beach for the more adventurous among us, including jet skis, banana boat rides, sailing, and water skiing. For those wishing to be more active away from the water, the world famous La Manga Golf course is just a short 15 min drive away. There is a restaurant on this same beach, so lots to do (or not!) just on you holiday doorstep.
La Manga has miles of sandy beaches. On one side of the La Manga strip is the sparkling blue mediterranean sea with its waves and cool sea breeze,on the other side is Europes largest lagoon (The Mar Menor). The Mar Menor lagoon has crystal clear warm shallow waters, which are ideal to play in (young and old alike!) This lagoon is rich in salts and minerals and in certain areas of the Mar Menor lagoon theraputic clays can be found. Now, this is not for the faint hearted, but if you want to join in with the locals, you simply cover yourself from head to toe with this clay, and let it bake dry on your body from the warm spanish sun. It is said to be good for skin complaints,Arthritis and Rheumatism.
If you want to visit a water park, there is one about an hours drive away in Torrevieja, well worth a visit for yet more fun!!

The Costa Calida/Murcia region
La Manga is such a unique place in the world, once you have been there you just keep on returning. Some say La Manga reminds them of Miami in Florida. There is a nature reserve at the end of the La Manga strip. This is a very peaceful area quite loverly for an evening stroll.
Murcia town is just a short drive away, which is steeped in history, it is well worth a visit.
The temperatue in La Manga hardly ever falls below 18 degrees, so winter is a good time to visit as the sun shines for more than 300 days a year.( It doesnt get much better than this!!!!!!)
La Manga Del Mar Menor / La Manga Strip area
There is a local market on a sunday, this is geat to walk around and pick up some local bargains, practise your spanish or be anonymous if you want to !
How to get there
There are frequent ,low cost budget airlines that fly to Murcia and Alicante. Murcia is a 25 min drive from the airport Alicante is 1 hour, 25 min drive from airport.
Airlines that fly to Murcia and Alicante are: Easyjet, Ryanair,Monarch,Jet2,Flybe,BMIbaby. Car rentals at the airport are; Sol-mar,Hertz,Amigo autos,Europacar. Taxis are available at the airport (around 40euros single journey)

Further details outdoors: The views from the rooftop terrace are truly amazing, looking out over the Mar Menor and along the Costa Calida Coast. You can walk right round the villa in the private gardens, and you have my permission to pick a lemon from the tree!!

Guestbook for Villa 56, El Vivero
I stayed in this beautiful Villa from May 20 2007 for 1 week and was thoroughly chilled out by the tjme I came home. The villa it self had all the amenities that I required, and the swimming pool was great , and the poolman visits twice a week to maintain the hygene of the pool. The surrounding area is very good for shopping and restaurants. I can not wait to go back. Avril. ( Hartridge)
