Home description
A very comfortable apartment with amazing views located in the north of La Manga del Mar Menor, in a quiet area just across the new El Estacio bridge. The complex of five widely-spaced apartment blocks has a swimming pool, todders' pool and a mini-tennis court, with a large supermarket just a couple of minutes walk away, plus two restaurants and a bakers. Additional bars and restaurants can be found at the Marina opposite. Activities nearby include an enormous range of water activities, and fishing. Golf Veneziola (a 9-hole course) is just 3Km away. The Marina is a 20-minute walk (or 3 min. drive) away and has a ‘café lifestyle’ with French, Greek, Mexican & Spanish bars and restaurants. Children’s dishes are readily available. Also from the Marina (depending on the time of year) you can hire a car or pedal bike, organise days out, boat trips and also scuba-dive. A ferry runs from the Marina right onto the beach at San Javier, and the well-known La Manga Golf Club is a 30minute drive away. The nearest water park is at Torrevieja, and well worth the drive.
We have taken great care in choosing the fixtures and fittings to provide a comfortable “home from home”. The lounge area has a double-bed settee seating three, plus an additional two-seater settee. We have provided Sky/UK Satellite TV, DVD, and a radio that also plays audio CDs and MP3 CDs. Wireless Internet access can be provided for a small charge (bring your own laptop). The dining area contains an extending table and six dining chairs. The main bedroom consists of a king-size bed and the second bedroom has two full-size single beds. We can also provide a cot and highchair if required.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region
The Costa Calida (Warm Coast) area is reputed to have one of the most pleasant climates in the world - according to the World Health Organisation. There are so many reasons for coming to this area and many people who come as holiday makers recognize this and eventually return to live here.
The Costa Calida stretches from the Mar Menor south to Almeria - where the Costa del Sol commences. Being in the southern region of Spain, Murcia offers one of the most pleasant climates in Europe. With mild winters, hot (but not oppressive) summers and an average of 320 sunny days a year.
The average hours of sunshine per day ranges from around 6 hours in winter to a full 12 hours at the height of summer. This compares to the London average of 1 hour in January and February to a maximum of 7 hours in June. Rain on the Costa Calida is rare, especially in the summer months - the total annual rainfall averages 5 to 6 cm (2 to 2 1/2 inches) on the coastal plain, although the inland mountainous areas are slightly wetter.
La Manga Del Mar Menor / Los Miradores del Puerto area
The La Manga Strip is a unique location in Europe , it is a strip of land 21 Km long and 300 metres wide (average). La Manga means ‘sleeve’ and it is a strip of land which separates the Mediterranean Sea from the Mar Menor (Small Sea). Along it’s coast on both sides, there are beautiful ‘Blue Flag’ beaches with white sands, ideal for family holidays. Even in the height of the season, they never get ‘packed’ and claustrophobic The Mar Menor is the largest lagoon in Europe and has a surface area of 130 sq km and a maximum depth of 8 metres. The crystal clear waters are warm, calm and rich in salts and minerals, in fact the temperature never falls below 18degrees. In certain areas of the Mar Menor the therapeutic clays can be found, these are a favourite with the Spanish tourists, who cover themselves with the clay and then bake in the hot sun. It is said to be good for skin complaints, rheumatism and arthritis etc.

How to get there
A number of low-cost airlines fly direct to Murcia (San Javier) airport from Birmingham, Manchester and other UK airports, and the apartment is only 40 minutes drive. Or fly into Alicante if you don’t mind a drive of approximately an hour and a half. The roads are good and the drive is easy. Don’t forget prices for low-cost airlines can change almost hour by hour, so it’s worth checking them out at different times, or contacting your local travel agent to arrange flights. We can arrange pick-up and drop-off at both airports. Many guests enjoy just relaxing by the pool or on the balcony and walking around the area. But why not hire a car to get the best from the area – there is so much to see and so many beaches and activities accessible within quite short journeys. Try Auto Europe, Holiday Autos, Europa Rentacar, Solmar or Centuro and compare prices. Some offer cars at the airport, others will “shuttle-bus” you to their nearest office.

Further details indoors: The main bedroom has patio doors onto the main balcony and contains a king-size bed, chest of drawers, bedside tables and a built-in wardrobe with additional drawers.
The second bedroom has patio doors to its own south-facing mini-balcony, also with views over the marina, and contains two 3ft single beds, a chest of drawers, bedside table and a built-in wardrobe with additional drawers.
Cot and highchair available for small additional charge
There are two bathrooms. The main bathroom has a full bath/shower, washbasin, toilet and bidet. The second bathroom has a shower, washbasin and toilet.
Blankets, pillows, sheets and bath towels are provided, but please bring your own towels for the beach and pool.
We can arrange high chairs/cots at £10 per item per week, and a selection of welcome packs, together with additional cleaning or laundry if required. For the benefit of all users, the apartment is for non-smokers only and pets are not allowed. The apartment is spacious and accessible by lift. There are ramps to the entrance and to the swimming pool/tennis court, making the accommodation wheelchair friendly. Please note however that the shower is not "flat to the floor" for wheelchair access.

Further details outdoors: There is a well-stocked local supermarket just a couple of minutes walk away, and two restaurants within a five minute stroll. A larger supermarket, together with an extensive range of restaurants and bars, is situated at the Marina. A ten-minute stroll will bring you to beaches on both the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean, but using a car will give you access to dozens of small beaches all along the Mar Menor Strip, each of which have their own activities, or just "peace and quiet".

A booking deposit/property guarantee of £100.00 is required at the time of booking, this will reserve the dates you require and will also act as guarantee that the property is left in the same condition as it is found, this will be fully refunded within 14 days providing there is no damage. Full payment for the total rental cost is required 8 weeks prior to arrival. A number of discounts are available, such as reduced rates for long lets of over 3 weeks", 10% off second week booked throughout the year, and 20% off third week booked throughout the year. Also, we offer great "last minute booking" discounts to fill any void periods.

We had a fabulous holiday in Los Miradores. The apartment is great. We had everything we needed for our stay. It was lovely & quiet there. The view over the Marina is great and the apartment is ideally located close to the supermarket & beach, restaurants & bars & yet not too near. We loved the beach & the Mar Menor. Your directions to the Paque Bote were great. We spent several days at the beach there. The girls enjoyed the inflatable slides & water trampoline & paddle boats there. The apartment is lovely & spacious & was very clean. The whole apartment complex is lovely & quiet & the pool was lovely & warm. The whole Mar Menor area is a lovely area, very unspoilt by commercialism. The whole family enjoyed it & had a very relaxing time there. I will definitely consider the apartment for another holiday and will let some of my friends know also. The Hubble Family July 2008.

Great Holiday - We had a wonderfully relaxing holiday made even better by your very clean, modern apartment with wonderful views. The apartment itself was bright, spacious and accommodated my family extremely well. The surrounding area was quiet which was what I wanted but still had a nice little bread and cake shop and a supermarket and then in the evening we would walk to the Marina to eat at around 9pm and watch the beautiful sunsets across the Mar Menor!
