The Costa Calida/Murcia region
This Costa is a favourite of the Spanish with the beautiful Mar Menor (little sea) a saltwater lagoon divided from the Mediterranean by La Manga (the sleeve), Calblanque National Park and the historic cities of Cartagena and Murcia. In the other direction is La Manga. La Manga has beautiful beaches both on the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean and is within a 5 minute car drive or 30 minute walk along the Mar Menor. There are numerous bars, restaurants, shops and marinas along its 18 kilometres. La Manga is very popular with the Spanish during the summer months. Thomas Maestre located at 13 kilometres is a new marina with many bars and restaurants and is well worth a visit. More bars and restaurants can be found at Playa Honda, a non commercialised Spanish village. This is a 5 minute walk where you will find a small supermarket, pharmacy and both Spanish and English restaurant/bars. These are open all year round with an ice cream parlour open during the summer months.
From Playa Paraiso there is also easy access to Cabo De Palos, Los Belones, La Manga club and Calblanque National Park. There are numerous golf courses throughout the area with fine walks and horse riding within Calblanque. Scuba diving is also available from La Manga and Cabo de Palos. There are many water sports centres and sailing schools in the area. La Manga Club with three golf courses, tennis courts, swimming pools the Hyatt Regency and Casino is a 10 minute drive away.
La Manga Del Mar Menor / Playa Paraiso area
The fishing port of Cabo de Palos (with an abundance of restaurants overlooking the harbour and promenade) is less than 5 minutes drive away or a short taxi ride as is the small Spanish town of Los Belones which also has several excellent restaurants and bars.
The historic cities of Cartagena, (20 minutes ) drive and Murcia (50 minutes ) are easily accessible if a car is hired. Local transport will also take you to these locations.

Further details indoors: You enter the property to find a large hallway. There is a large living/dining area with English TV and DVD player. There are patio doors leading to the garden and pool area. There is a large well equipped fitted kitchen consisting of freezer/fridge, grill, hob, oven, washing machine and microwave. There is a terrace via the kitchen with table and chairs. There are 2 twin bedrooms on the ground floor both with fitted wardrobes. Bedroom 1 is very spacious and has a large en-suite consisting of w/c, shower with bath, bidet and basin. This bedroom has views of the garden and pool area. The other twin bedroom on the ground floor also has fitted wardrobes with views of the mountains. There is a ground floor bathroom fitted with a shower cubicle, w/c, bidet and wash basin. The stairs lead via patio doors to the solarium. There is a further bathroom which has a bath/shower, w/c, bidet and wash basin. The third bedroom has fitted wardrobes a window with views of the mountains and patio doors leading to the solarium with garden furniture.

Bookings require a £100 deposit to secure the holiday more than 8 weeks prior to the start date. 8 weeks before departure the full amount is due and your £100 deposit then becomes your bond (please see the section headed security bond). If the start date is less than 8 weeks prior to departure then the full payment is required plus a £100 security bond.
Conditions
Car hire, baby equipment hire, welcome food packs and airport transfers are all available on request. If you do not want to drive you are only a few minutes from the beach and local bars and restaurants and a taxi service is available to take you to local attractions. To be picked up from Murcia airport the cost will be 30 euros eachway and from Alicante from between 90 and 110 euros eachway depending on the time of year.
