Casa Sara is located just two minutes’ walk from the beach, on the outskirts of a tiny fishing village in rural South Eastern Spain. Quiet and peaceful, yet only a few minutes drive from the larger resorts such as La Manga Club, La Manga Strip, the fabulous fishing port of Cabo de Palos and the city of Cartagena. The villa has easy access to all amenities, including the local market for bargain hunting, and many excellent restaurants for eating out. For the golf enthusiast it is close to many superb golf courses.
The villa benefits from a shared private pool, with a shallow end perfect for the children. On the ground floor is an open plan sitting room and kitchen with a front sun terrace furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco. With three bedrooms and two bathrooms the villa is ideal for families, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay. The villa also has a roof top sun terrace with table, chairs and a hammock. Ideal for relaxing and enjoying the panoramic views over the Mar Menor and the mountains.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region
Los Nietos is a tiny fishing village in rural South Eastern Spain, on the beautiful Mar Menor, a huge inland lagoon which is warm and safe for children and well known for its sailing regattas.
The weather in this region is glorious most of the year round. February is probably the wettest month but from March to October it is sunny and warm, August being the hottest month.
Sara and her family have been out in December and been on the beach in t-shirt and shorts. Although it can be chilly sometimes too!!!!
La Manga Del Mar Menor / Los Nietos area
A 10 minute drive inland takes you to the world renowned La Manga Club with its superb golf courses, tennis clubs, large swimming pool, high class shops and restaurants. You don't need to be a member to enjoy the facilities.
And 15 minutes away is the lovely scenic fishing port of Cabo de Palos with excellent fish restaurants. Cabo de Palos is at the start of the La Manga Strip with miles upon miles upon miles of glorious beaches - on one side the Mar Menor and on the other the Mediterranean. It takes half an hour to drive to the end of the strip! The city of Cartagena is about 20 minutes away, a city of culture, fine shopping and restaurants.
There are daily markets selling lots of wonderful locally grown fruit and veg, as well as clothing, sunglasses, bags, shoes etc. These markets are held at different towns and villages daily. The largest one is at Pabo do Cabo on Sunday mornings.
We have two scrapbooks in the house. One lists local restaurants and places to eat, the other is full of information about where to go and what to do. It also contains details of all the markets.
How to get there
Murcia airport at San Javier is the closest - about 15 minutes by car. Alicante airport is about 45 minutes away. Jet2.Com and Ryanair, among other airlines, all fly to Murcia. There are plenty of car hire firms at Murcia airport but Sara recommends La Manga Rent A Car - www.lamangarentacar.com

Further details indoors: Exquisitely furnished three bedroom family home. Used by Sara and her family the emphasis is on comfortable and practical and "homely". In fact she reckons there are more mod cons in this house than in her own in England! There is even satellite TV so you can watch your favourite soaps while on holiday!!
There is a large open plan kitchen, sitting room and dining room on the ground floor. With a large south facing patio to the front and sheltered patio to the rear with washing machine and tumble drier.There is also a bunk bed/sofa in the downstairs bedroom with en suite toilet and shower room. On the first floor is a double bedroom and twin room, both with balcony's. Plus a fully tiled bathroom with four piece suite and powerful shower.
The roof terrace comes with barbecue, table, chairs, parasol and a hammock. A peaceful, secluded sun trap! There are panoramic views over the sea and the mountains. Cots and high chairs can be hired.
Air conditioning is available as an optional extra.
Further details outdoors: Casa Sara is a new house on a quiet cul de sac. There are plenty of lovely English people living on the same street, so help is never far away. Los Nietos is a quiet village, only really busy in August when the Spanish come for their holidays. It is surrounded by the sea and farmland with the mountains in the distance. Oh and plenty of golf courses around!
The shared outdoor swimming pool is a two minute walk away and Los Nietos beach is no more than five minutes. Although there are miles and miles of glorious beaches to explore all within driving distance.

Air conditioning (which also heats the house in the winter) is available as an optional extra. Swimming pool available from Easter to September English-speaking representative on hand to answer any questions.
