The apartment is situated in Las Góndolas which is an exclusive new complex of high specification apartments on the Costa Calida at the northern end of La Manga strip. With The Mediterranean Sea on one side and the Mar Menor on the other, you are just a few minutes walk from either beach.
The Mar Menor has warm shallow waters ideal for children and there are endless beaches to choose from. There are a number of shops, bars and restaurants within short walking distance, including a supermarket, fresh bakery and green grocer making this a perfect location for a relaxing beach holiday any time of the year and a school of sailing & restaurant.
There are regular buses up and down the strip at incredibly low fares. Across the main road is a 9-hole golf course which offers very good rates and also has a driving range.

The Costa Calida region
Costa Calida means 'WARM COAST' and is situated to the south of the Costa Blanca, on the east Mediterranean coast, starting with the Province of Murcia and runs south towards Almeria. Costa Calida has breathtaking mountains, fertile agricultural land and miles of beautiful Blue Flag beaches making this a very typically unspoilt part of Spain.
The weather on the Costa Calida is the best in Spain . Winters are warmer and drier than any other part of Spain making the climate not only enjoyable but also beneficial from a health point of view. The average year round temperature is 20°C and there are approximately 320 days of sunshine per year, low humidity and very low rainfall making it a near perfect climate. The Costa Calida offers you the very best of Spain - without the expensive price tag.
What is the 'Mar Menor' ?
The Mar Menor (or 'small sea') located on the Costa Calida, is the largest natural saltwater lagoon in Europe and waters sustain temperatures of approximately 17 degrees centigrade average per year. It is a unique spot offering clean water with peaceful, tide- free bathing on pleasant shores, whatever the time of year.
The Mar Menor was created a little over 1000 years ago. Originally a safe little bay, offering shelter for even large ships, it became a natural lagoon when sediments from the sea built up on a small underwater mountain range and closed off the inlet with a sandbar. On its Western side is mainland Spain , and on its Eastern side is La Manga de Mar Menor, a strip of land,
(The La Manga Strip) only 22 kilometres (14 miles) long called La Manga del Mar Menor. Its sandy beaches on both sides and crystal-clear waters have made it one of the highest regarded tourist resorts on the Mediterranean, a paradise between seas for all types of water sports and activities that can be practiced at its numerous clubs and sports schools. .
The La Manga Del Mar Menor / Veneciola area
La Manga translated from Spanish means 'the sleeve' and is a strip of land between two seas, one being the Mediterranean and the other being a large inland salt lake called the Mar Menor. The Mar Menor is said to contain minerals which have healing qualities for skin ailments and rheumatism and you often see people treating themselves with the mud along the beach.
Therefore, La Manga has miles of beautiful beaches. The strip is approx. 17 km long and it is worth travelling up and down the strip to discover its many attractions. A regular bus service runs the whole length of the strip giving easy access to all areas. It's worth mentioning Plaza Bohemia which is crammed with restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. Visit the Peke Park Playground with its own bar restaurant where you are able to drink whilst the children are playing and get gifts and hairbraiding etc.
A ferry service operates from the Tomos Maestre marina to Santiago de la Ribiera a town across the Mar Menor on the mainland. The marina is a lovely place to enjoy a drink or meal while watching the private yachts and boats. The Mar Menor is also home to many watersports e.g sailing, kite surfing and jet skiing. The Sunday Market is at the Cabo de Palos area and a bus will take you right outside - starts early.
La Manga has a unique and natural environment which attracts a wealth of wildlife and you can observe flamingoes and other migratory birds in the Las Salinas Nature Park and the Calblanque Nature Reserve.

We can arrange airport transfers from Murcia airport and this costs 50 Euros each way it is much cheaper than Taxi's and is a personal door to door service.
We arrange for the apartment to be cleaned and fresh linen and towels provided for a cost of 50 Euros per stay (not per person).
