Within easy reach, you will find modern shopping centres in Cartagena, Murcia and San Javier, and you can enjoy the numerous stunning sandy beaches of Calblanque and La Manga (the Strip). The traditional fishing village of Cabo de Palos offers excellent fish restaurants overlooking the Mediterranean and the stylish marina, as well as an excellent Sunday market. The picturesque squares and historic buildings of Murcia provide an excellent backdrop for an evening exploring the many excellent traditional tapas bars.
