About the home
The villa is conveniently located, and is accessed via a short, sloping path from the adjacent roadside parking.
The villa is semi detached, comfortably furnished, and close to one of the nine El Rancho community pools, used only by adjacent villas. This villa has been our family holiday retreat, and we have enjoyed our stays here, in La Manga Club, at all times of the year.
Although the villa is advertised as being suitable for 6 occupants, Bedroom 2 has sufficient floor space to fit an extra bed, and a cot, to accommodate further children.
The villa comprises three floors. The entrance floor contains the living/dining area, kitchen & main terrace with BBQ, table & chairs. From here, stairs lead to the lower floor with master bedroom/en-suite & large twin bedded room/en-suite. Both bedrooms have french doors leading to a large, gated terrace with patio furniture. The gate leads across the garden to the on-street parking, directly outside the villa. The upper level, accessed by an external staircase, has a twin bedded room/en-suite with private terrace, built in BBQ & sun beds.

The living area is on the middle level of the villa, entrance level. An open plan room, it contains the lounge and dining area with adjacent kitchen. Flat screen TV, satellite TV (UK channels + Sky Sports + foreign channels), DVD player (no DVDs available), telephone for free calls within the Club, bookcase with recent paperback/hardback books. Patio doors lead from the living area to the main terrace with built in BBQ and patio furniture.
The kitchen is accessed off the living area, and has its own door out to the main terrace.
The new washing machine is located on the lower level, in an understairs recess.
Bedrooms 1 and 2 are on the lower floor of the villa, accessed from an internal stair from the living room. Bedroom 3 is separate, on the upper level, and is accessed from an external staircase.
Bedroom 1 has a king sized bed which can be set up as 2 singles, built in wardrobe, bedside tables, dressing table and mirror. French doors lead to the large, gated lower terrace.
Bedroom 2 has been extended and has 2 single beds, built in wardrobe, chest of drawers, ample storage, bedside tables, TV, ceiling fan and can easily accommodate a 3rd fold-down bed or a cot if required. French doors lead to the large, gated lower terrace.
Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds, built in wardrobe, bedside tables, chest of drawers. Private roof terrace.
All 3 en suite bathrooms are fully tiled and have cream ceramic flooring. Bathrooms 1 and 2 have been refitted with new white suites and are fully tiled. En suite 1 has a bath with shower, wc, handbasin with storage. En suite 2 has a bath with shower, wc, handbasin with storage. En suite 3 has a fully tiled shower, wc and handbasin.
There are reverse air-conditioning units in all 3 bedrooms and the living room, all individually controlled, and which can provide heating if required in winter.
Further details outdoors:
There is a sun terrace at the front door. The main terrace can be accessed from sliding patio doors in the living room or through the kitchen, housing a built in BBQ and patio furniture. The roof terrace is outside the upper twin bedroom and has a built in BBQ and sun loungers. The lower extended terrace has shared access from both the master bedroom and the twin bedroom, and is equipped with patio furniture and a gate leading out to the on-street parking.
Further details
The rental rates shown are for complete weeks and based upon changeover day being Saturday, although we are very willing to be flexible on changeover day and length of stay, by negotiation.
Arrival time is after 16.00 and departure time is before 10.00, other than by specific prior arrangement.
Please note that smoking is not permitted in the villa.
Conditions
A deposit of 20% of the rental amount is payable at time of booking. The balance of the rental is payable 8 weeks before arrival.
A damage deposit of £100 is also payable with the balance of rental, and is refunded 2 weeks following departure, subject to satisfactory inspection of the villa.

The Costa Calida region


Near to La Manga Club is the Mar Menor, which is a warm, shallow, inland sea, a 15 minute drive away, where there is a sandy beach, at Mar de Cristal, where there are water activities available, and a beach bar/cafe. There is a larger sandy beach at Calblanque, a 15 minute drive away, also on the Mediterranean coast, popular with the Spanish, but with no facilities.
Also near to La Manga Club is the small fishing village of Cabo de Palos, where, at the harbour, there are restaurants serving freshly caught fish. Boat trips on the Med are available here.
The nearest town to La Manga Club is Cartagena, which is a traditional fishing port, and has a historic Old Town.
Further away is Murcia, which is a bustling city, with good department stores and clothes shops.
The La Manga Club / El Rancho area
The La Manga Club resort is particularly famous for its excellent golf and tennis facilities. There are 3 high quality golf courses, all within a 10 minute drive. The South Course is used for major championships. The tennis centre is a 5 minute drive and has 28 courts, mainly clay, but also some hard and astroturf courts. Both the golf and tennis centres offer a high standard of professional tuition.
Also in La Manga Club are shops, bars, restaurants, squash, paddle tennis, pitch and putt, bowls green, spa, gym, sauna, and jacuzzi.La Manga Club has a private beach cove at La Cala, a 5 minute drive away on the Med coast.

Jet2 and Ryanair fly to Murcia (San Javier) Airport, which is only 20 mins away from La Manga Club by motorway.
Alternatively, Easyjet and Globespan fly to Alicante Airport, which is 60 mins away by motorway.
For car hire, we normally use an on-line broker, carjet.com, who book with several major car hire firms at both airports.
For anyone who particularly does not want to self-drive, it is possible to take a taxi from the rank at Murcia airport.
