"Lovely comfortable villa, with pool on its doorstep."

We have just returned from a week at El Rancho 84. The owner, Rose was great both befor we arrived and during our stay. She helped us with ideas of where to eat and when we had a problem with the dish washer it was replaced the next day! The villa was great with comfortable beds and air con in all the rooms. The kids liked the fact there was uk TV for the evenings, but spent most of their time in the pool!
We ate out a fair bit and though the restaurants at La Manga Club were not cheap compared to the local village ones, they were about the same price as the uk. But the food was much better! We found free WiFi at La Barra a cafe in the complex, which did good tapas.
I'm sure we will be back again, thank you!

"Would Return and will Recommend"

Arrived at night, found the Villa no problem, directions perfect.Sixteen steps down from car space to front door. Key safe by side of front door, a light to see key safe will be helpful at night, we used the light from our mobile phone. We entered a spacious living room with a kitchen just off it and a toilet by front door. There was a veranda to front of house which we never used but a much bigger one to the rear, over looking a huge pool. This area has a bbq built in and a stairway to a roof terrace. Down stairs there was three bedrooms, all big enough and two bathrooms, one is en-suite. We used the french doors from the master bedroom to get to the pool, but beware of drafts from open widows, doors, the french door can bang because it cant be shut from outside. The house itself was done in good quality materials when built , it does show some small signs of wear and tear but one must expect that from a house of its age and use. We would have no complaints in returning to it in its current condition, it was clean and everything worked properly including the air-con in the entire property. The owner telephoned us mid stay to enquire if we were happy and we got two visits from a rep while there. The pool directly outside the villa is a big plus, it has a toddler pool as well and was never busy during our stay. The pool is quiet deep at one end and the area around had ample loungers. Bellaluz Sq is very close but difficult to find first time, one needs to ask. It has a very good foodstore selling fresh bread to fresh meat. Both bars have very nice areas and staff are friendly, Make sure you sit in the proper seats, each business have their own seating defined by cushion colour or style of chair and wont serve you if seated in the others furniture. There are loads of places to dine, snack or drink on site, some are a long way from El Rancho, however there is a free mini bus service available which we used and found punctual and reliable, one must ring when ready but cant book ahead. some of the business`s on site tend to be expensive and we travelled to Los Belones quiet a lot, Via Romana was a favourite of ours. On site we liked Sì restraunt and bar for good value, especially their steak, also Luigi`s in Los Lamos for a bit of an upmarket meal, We had a very good holiday in 84 El Rancho, its close to all the sports available, its close to shops etc, we will return.
