La Maddalena is ideal for watersports, diving, sailing, and beach life. The archipelago has many lovely uninhabited islands, which are easy to reach in Giacomo's boat, and the beaches are second to none.
The town has many shops, and attractive restaurants serving local dishes. Caprera island, famous for Garibaldi has an interesting museum, lovely walks, cycling or horse riding in the pine forest.
The Island of Corsica is just a short ferry ride away, with the amazing town of Bonifacio to visit.

Green in mountains, hot in summer, and surrounded by sea-scapes second to none in the Mediterranean.
La Maddalena area
La Maddalena is the main island of an archipelago on the north-eastern tip of Sardinia. Water-sports abound, the beaches are second to none, and there is plenty of night life both on La Maddalena itself, as on the nearby coast of Sardinia, 15 minutes ferry-ride away. Beloved of Garibaldi, the island of Caprera is well worth visiting with horse-riding in the pine-forest.
The mountains and attractions of Corsica lie just an hour away by ferry from Santa Teresa.
How to get there
Fly to OLBIA with Easy-jet or Meridiana, or to ALGHERO with Ryan-air. Car hire at the airport, and then drive to PALAU. From there take a ferry to LA MADDALENA (15 minute crossing, every half-hour).

Journey times by car: Olbia airport - Palau 30 mins. Alghero airport - Palau about 1hr. 30 mins. Ferry Palau - La Maddalena 15 mins.

The owner of the property lives nearby, and is available at all times, with help for anything you may need.
I am sorry to say that smoking inside is no longer allowed, following nasty damage to the furniture....
When asking for availability, please do not ask for more photos of the place unless you are really interested in proceeding!
Conditions
A deposit of £100 is required in advance to confirm your booking. Confirmation of availability is not a booking!
To reserve you need to advise me that you have remitted the deposit on my account at the Royal Bank of Scotland, (see Acc. No. and Bank code below), after which I shall keep the house available for you for 5 working days from that date. This generally takes 2 or 3 days, and your booking will become definitive when the funds have cleared.
IMPORTANT! When you transfer the deposit please ensure that you include the name in which you have booked, the number for the home (84308) and the period to which the deposit corresponds, so that I can identify the payment, and confirm that I have received it.
I regret that this advance charge cannot be refunded if you decide not to come to Casa Giacomo.
The balance is due on your arrival, in Euro, at the exchange rate valid at the time you sent the deposit.
