In Sardinian 'Stazzo' means farmhouse, and this is a simple white-washed 150 year old farm-house, sleeping up to a maximum of five guests, plus cot for a small child. Beautiful property overlooking the sea, shaded by mature pines, olives and eucalyptus. Al fresco dining in walled garden or on the terrace, and plenty of places to lounge in the sun. I cultivate fruit trees, so organic fruit is available straight from the trees, according to the season. ...You can choose between relaxing under the trees in the shade, or enjoying yourselves on lovely beaches within a few minutes drive by car or moped. The more energetic can also walk to a secluded bay away from other holiday-makers for complete peace and quiet. The town of La Maddalena is only 2 miles from us, with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. There are also day-trips to the islands and inflatable boat hire, horse-riding etc..

The Sardinia region

La Maddalena area
La Maddalena is the main island of an arcipelago on the north-eastern tip of Sardinia. Water-sports abound, the beaches are second to none, and there is plenty of night life both on La Maddalena itself, as on the nearby coast of Sardinia, 15 minutes ferry-ride away. Beloved of Garibaldi, the island of Caprera is well worth visiting with horse-riding in the pine-forest. The mountains and attractions of Corsica lie just an hour away by ferry from Santa Teresa.
How to get there
Fly to OLBIA with Easy-jet or Meridiana, or to ALGHERO with Ryan-air. Car hire at the airport, and then drive to PALAU. From there take a ferry to LA MADDALENA (15 minute crossing, every half-hour). Detailed directions on how to reach the property from La Maddalena town will be given when you book. Journey times by car: Olbia airport - Palau 30 mins. Alghero airport - Palau about 1hr. 30 mins. Ferry Palau - La Maddalena 15 mins.

Further details indoors: Very simple white interiors, but cool and airy. Well equipped for self-catering. Two double bedrooms, one single. One of the double bedrooms can convert on request to take two singles.

The english owner of the property lives nearby, and is available at all times, with help for anything you may need.
I am sorry to say that smoking inside is no longer allowed, following nasty damage to the furniture....
Conditions
Advance booking fee: £100, or equivalent in Euro, is required in advance to confirm your booking. Confirmation of availability is not a booking. I shall keep the house available for you for 10 working days from the date you advise me that you have sent the deposit, either to the Royal Bank of Scotland in England, or to Banca Intesa San Paolo in Italy (see Acc. No. and Bank codes below). This generally takes 2 or 3 days, and your booking will become definitive only when the funds have cleared. IMPORTANT! When you transfer the deposit please ensure that you include the name in which you have booked, and the period to which the deposit corresponds, so that I can identify the payment, and confirm that I have received it.
I regret that this advance charge cannot be refunded if you decide not to come to La Villa.
The balance is due on your arrival, either in Sterling, or in equivalent Euro.
