Los Girasoles is amongst apartments and villas, that are solely privately owned. It is surrounded by beautiful lawns, exotic plants and set within tennis and paddle courts. There is a fitness centre nearby.
Less than 10 minutes walk away is the horseshoe Bay of La Herradura. Whilst providing a quiet accommodation, it also has a restaurant nearby and is only 25 meters to the public pool.
Private parking to the apartment is accessed at the rear and at ground level. The area is perfect for a relaxing holiday, or an action packed holiday with a variety of water sports, sailing, diving, hand gliding, horse riding, golf and walking holidays and many other recreational activities.
Only 80 minutes from Sierra Nevada, Spain's most popular ski resort, it is said you can in the winter months, ski in the mornings and sunbathe in the afternoons down on the coast . Just behind the apartment you can find the Cerro Gordo natural park with is famous wild mountain goats ideal for long walks, Also within easy reach is the famous Alhambra Palace in Granada. The nearest towns are west Nerja, 7 miles away just under 10 mins by the new motorway, and Almunecar, 3 miles East.

The sun terrace has two sun loungers table and chairs for six people the terrace has a partial sea view. set in the gardens of Los Girasoles There is also a fitness gym, for which a small daily or weekly charge is payable. Tennis and paddle courts can be booked with a professional coach. A short walk away is the pool which is laid to lawn with a large adult pool and a small children's pool and play area. You can play table tennis and pool. There is a bar that serves snacks and aslo a small local run restaurant

Apartment is suitable for children, as there are no main roads and is enclosed in gardens. Cots can be provided at an extra charge. For Winter stays there are small heaters provided. smoking may be done on the terrace but not in the apartment.
Cleaning: Bedding is included and bathroom towels. Property is cleaned before and after departure. At an extra cost we can provide a midweek clean. You must provide your own beach towels.
the apartments are available from 2pm date of arrival and you are asked to depart by 10am on the date of departure unless an extension has been agreed with the owner
Conditions
A security deposit of £150 pounds is required to be paid with final payment this will be refunded within 2 weeks of departure after full check of the apartment has been made All payments for the apartment will be required in full, six weeks before departure. A 25% deposit is required to secure booking which is non refundable. (For further information contact owner).

The nearest towns are Almunecar, 4 miles East,with its large sea water park and new Aquarium and great nightlife, and Nerja, 7 miles West, 6 minutes by road go and take a look at the famous Balcon del Europe many fantastic restaurants and shops.
The La Herradura area
In La Herradura you have a mile long coast road and a sea front with many places to eat and drink. Late night entertainment can also be found with many bars open until the early hours. There are three small supermarkets in the village, but if you are looking for the major supermarkets, you will need to drive to Almunecar. There are many banks and cash dispensers on the beach front. Chemist, doctors, opticians, dentist, and internet cafes are also in the village centre, plus a fabulous fish and flower market. The area is famous for its diving with several diving schools closely located. Paragliding can be viewed from the beach as local enthusiasts display their talents. The Sierra Gordo national park is just minutes away. It is famous for its walks and cycling routes. The Maria del Este is only 5 minutes drive, where boats can be hired for sailing.
Las Palomas is situated on the West side of the bay. A quiet and tranquil setting, one of the attractions of the area is the local community pool that nestles amongst the exotic plants and palm trees. The pool and children’s pool area is very well laid out with lawns, Table Tennis, Pool Table, shower and toilet facilities, along with a an excellent cafe serving great food. Las Palomas is situated right on the edge o the Cerro Gordo national park with is fantastic scenery, and access to some beautiful country walks.The apartment is on a incline from the beach front this would not be suitable for anyone who has difficulty in walking unless they had their own transport, there is also a local bus service that can take you down to the town or beach, also why not try our excellent taxi service thats based in town , if you do wish to walk down it takes 10mins max a little bit longer to come back up of course.
Many Restaurants, Tapas Bars, Local Fish & Vegetable Market, Galleries, Museums, Banks , Doctors, Chemists and Supermarkets.
Boats can be chartered from the Marina Del Este. Day trips can be organized along the coast with visits to remote beaches for snorkeling, Swimming with Dolphins, Barbecues and Refreshments. There are local Scuba Diving Centres, Spanish language Schools and local golf courses.
There are several golf courses all within driving distance Salobrena Los Moriscos 9 holes 20 min drive, La Caleta 18 hole (Baviera Golf) 40 min drive, Anoreto Golf 18 hole is 60mins drive, there are plenty of other golf courses within easy reach towards Marbella/Malaga in 1 direction and Almeria in the other.
Sierra Nevada Ski Resort is 80 minutes by road, from November to April. Organised trips from the village all ski equipment can be hired on the slopes.
Horse Shoe Bay Beach of La Herradura is only a 10 minute walk from the apartment or a 2 minute drive. Naturist beaches are close by, one being the Playa de Cantarrijan.

Julie and Mike had a fantastic week with the children, plenty to do Apartment modern and clean, everything within a short driving distance nice walk down to the beach and town with its many cafes and bars would highly recommend excellent for couples or families perfect for children who can play in the gardens, you enter the apartment on ground floor level which is great for small children and older people, and pool is a few yards from the apartment very well maintained and also has a children's pool.
Sam and Jane ..2009 we had a great relaxing holiday all that we needed was in the apartment, we used public transport from the airport to the centre of La Herradura and then walked the short distance to the apartment you can take a taxi from the centre if you wish the public pool is very peaceful and never to busy good food hope to return in the future thanks again
Kim and Kieran ..2009 had a great holiday now back to the real world apartment was perfect in every way could not fault anything everything we needed was there hope to go back next year if available
Tracey and David 2011... well what can we say we had a great time everything we needed was in the apartment only short walk or drive down to the town which we enjoyed doing most morning,s the public pool was really nice never to many people very clean good music and great food, and if you enjoy a bit of tennis or paddle or you want to use the gym you cant go wrong as all these facilities surround the area the apartment is in
