Home description
The unspoilt bay of La Herradura is a walk or short drive from the house. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and the Sierra Nevada mountains in the distance there is no shortage of breathtaking walks to take. There are also many beaches to choose from apart from the 2km long beach at La Herradura as both Almunecar and Nerja are within 10 minutes drive. The house sits at the End of the Carmenes Del Mar Urbanisation next door to the Cerro Gordo nature park. It has an outdoor bar and kitchen area. The private pool is heated and their is also access to the large communal pool. If you like good food then this is the area for you, there are many restaurants in the area serving fresh fish and meat at reasonable prices. The local food market also has a great selection of all kinds of produce.

The Costa Tropical/Granada region
The Costa Tropical enjoys on average 316 days of sunshine a year. It is largely unspoilt stretch of beaches and and mountainous vistas. Because of its sunny climate It offers all year round activities. there are a number of golf courses along the coast and water sport centres are in abundance. If you are a keen diver, wind surfer or sailor then you will find this a great place to visit.
The many towns along the coast offer a variety of historic places to visit and a wide range of eating establishments to sample. Granada city is within an hour from most beach areas and offers great shopping as well as historic landmarks such as the Alhambra Palace. In the winter months the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort is 30 minutes from Granada city and has runs to satisfy beginner to advanced skiers.
La Herradura / Carmennes Del mar area
The beauty of this area of the Costa Tropical is that it is rare to hear English spoken. Apart from La Herradura and its stony beach there are other places worth visiting such as Nerja, Almunecar and Marina Del Este, and a number of beaches along the way.
Carmenes Del Mar is an urbanisation overlooking the west side of La Herradura. It has many different styles of property with communal areas in the urbanisation and a nature reserve to the west side with a wide range of vegetation and animals. Please visit www.almunecar.com For more information.
How to get there
Fly to malaga airport (40 mins drive) or Granada Airport (1 hour). Best hire car service is through Holiday Autos and they tend to use Avis, Auriga Crown and Record. The drive from Malaga is on the main motorway A7/E15 and the house is 5 mins off the La Herradura exit of the motorway. From Granada take the A92/E902/E15 to La Herradura and the house is 5 mins form the centre of the town.

Further details indoors: The villa is decorated in a contemporary style and has 2 large settees and a large dining table in the lounge/ dining room. A galleried landing looks down over the dining area giving a feel of light and space.
The house has 3 bedrooms but can sleep up to 8 (4 adults and 4 children). It has two bathrooms, a fully equipped Kitchen and an outdoor Kitchen/bar. If a Nespresso coffee fan then we can provide a machine to take your capsules.
For the music fan there is a wireless ipod speaker and docking system and a Sonos music system which is permanently linked to Napster giving access to millions of great tracks. there is also WiFi available.
Further details outdoors: There are three levels of terrace. One at pool level, one lounging dining terrace above the pool and a terrace outside the master bedroom and second bedroom. There is a covered outdoor kitchen and bar with gas BBQ and washing facilities. At the front of the house is a further terraced area. There is also a share of a large communal pool which is just a few yards away from the front door. surrounded by lovely beaches and has 4 golf courses within 45 minutes.
