A small, fully fitted,and completly self contained ground floor apartment situated on the edge of a typical Spanish village close to the sea and mountains.
This apartment is ideal for those who want a base to explore this wonderful area of Spain or just sit by the pool and relax. The village of La Herradura is a typical Spanish holiday resort. Several bars and restaurants and three supermarkets but no nightclubs or all night bars. The property is located in a small urbanisation overlooking the village, beach and mountains and is next to a Nature reserve with walks through the pine trees. Wild goats are often seen in this area. Dolphins can sometimes be seen coming into the bay,

The Costa Tropical/Granada region
La Herradura is situated in the area known as the Costa Tropical. That says it all. It has a unique climate caused by the mountains coming almost to the sea. This has created small bays and valleys that are totally protected from the wind from the north with cooling sea breases in the summer. It is ofter described as being like Cornwall with sun.Tropical fruits are grown in this area. The area is steeped in history and historical sites going back to Roman times and beyond. One hours drive from the world famous Alhambra Palace at Granada and for winter lets only just over an hours drive from the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada.
La Herradura area
The village of La Herradura has a history pre dating the Roman Empire. One of the regions typical "White" villages. It is now a holiday resort for all nations but predomanently Spanish. There are many bars, and restaurants serving everything from Spanish, Chinese to English. There are several small supermarkets, and a municipal market selling fresh vegitables, fish and meat. Larger supermarkets are at Almunecar and Nerja just ten minutes drive away. Whilst there is a small Northern European comunity this town has not been over developed. Most restaurant and shop owners speek English. At the moment there are two English restaurants and bars both serving "English Breakfast" This is a "Home from Home" for fish lovers. Sea Bass is the local speciality but you would need a month to try every fish they have to offer. There are several sub aqua clubs and companies in the village and the bay is famous for wrecks and sea life.
How to get there
La Herradura and the property are less than an hours drive from both Malaga and Granada airports. Both airports are served by budget airlines All but the last mile or two can be completed on motorways. The apartment has it's own car parking space. Car hire is available at either airport or can be aranged locally with the car delivered to the airport ( You will be met by the car hire representative) There is a local bus to Malaga running every hour. A car is highly recommended. Easyjet fly into Malaga from most UK airports or try Ryan air to Granada airport for cheap flights, even at Easter and the summer.

Further details indoors: An ideal small apartment in a very quiet area for use as a base or just to relax. The apartment is fully fitted with crockery cutlery, frideh washing machine, dish washer, microwave and full four ring electric cooker. A TV is provided with Video and CD player. We always provide a stock of CDs or bring your own. All bed linen and towels are provided at no extra cost,
Further details outdoors: Although the apartment looks out on flower beds, there is no sitting area. The pool is only twenty yards away and is surounded by lawns and flower beds with sun beds provided. There are also two paddle tennis courts. This pool area has the most fantastic views over the sea, the beach, village and mountains.

The owners live above the apartment and are on hand to answer questions most of the time. If you require any small items of shopping purchasing for you to await your arival, just ask.
Conditions
For UK customers a small deposit can be paid into our UK bank account with the balance being paid on arival. Due to the cost of cleaning and laundry we do not accept bookings of less than four days.
