About the home

The villa has recently gone through a refurbishment including new kitchen. Sleeps 6. 3 bedroom villa with furnished balcony, shared pool and stunning views of the valley and the local beach which is a 15 min walk away. La Herradura itself still maintains that original Spanish feel that is hard to find these days with plenty of local bars and restaurants to suite all tastes and pockets.

Whilst you will be able to find music and dancing if you look hard enough this is really ideally situated for those people looking for a relaxing holiday in an authentic part of Spain.Both Malaga and Granada airports are within an hour’s drive (we do recommend a car to make the most of your holiday) though local transfer can be arranged if required. So all you need to do once you have booked is to imagine yourself relaxing on the balcony with a glass of wine watching the world go by!

Master Bedroom with double bed. Bedroom 2 with double bed. Bedroom 3 with twin beds. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and mosquito nets to the windows.

En-suite shower room to master bedroom. Family bathroom with separate shower, bath and WC.

Refurbished 2012 the fully furnished kitchen has electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and plentiful supply of crockery and cutlery.

Lounge diner with plentiful seating, dining table, satellite TV, DVD player, music system. Ceiling fans and mosquito nets fitted to the double glazed windows.

Oil filled radiators are supplied for the winter. There is also an open fire in the lounge.

Further details outdoors:
There are two balconies as well as a courtyard. The front balcony has a built-in BBQ, large table with chairs and outstanding views of the valley and beach. The front balcony gets the sun in the morning and is the ideal place for breakfast. The roof balcony gets the sun all afternoon until sunset. Large shared pool with sunbathing area (rarely busy).

The balcony can be fully locked off for security of children.

Further details

Enough towels (not beach towels) and linen are supplied for one change per fortnight. More can be supplied as can extra maid service (cost extra).

The Costa Tropical region

La Herradura sits on the edge of Costa del Sol and Costa Tropical, Nerja is approximately 10km and Almunecar about 8km.

This region claims to have the best climate in Europe and is in stark contrast to the area west of Malaga. La Herradura remains typically Spanish.

The La Herradura area

The ski resort of Sierra Navada is approx an hour's drive away. La Herradura is popular with those that like to ski but want to return to a warmer climate in the evening or those that wish to split their holiday between a mild climate and skiing. Paragliding and Tandem Paragliding bookable at a local hotel.

A 25% deposit is payable on booking with the balance required 12 weeks prior to Your holiday. We also take a breakages deposit of £50 which will be returned after your holiday assuming no breakages (we accept the odd glass/plate etc will get broken) Payments can be made in either euros or sterling.

Change over days flexible. Normal times are arrive after 2pm and leave before 11am however we will be as flexible as possible to accommodate early arrivals / late departures.
