Home description

The apartment has sea and mountain views, only 10 mins walk to the beautiful horseshoe bay of La Herradura. There is an enclosed patio with plants, which is a good area for sunbathing discreetly and very safe for children to play out.

Highly recommended for walkers, with so many mountain and beach walks. Nightlife only a 15 minute drive away in Nerja and Almunecar or a 10 minute walk to a choice of restaurants and local bars. Swimming pool (indoor) in Almunecar and the local area of Punta de la Mona has a lovely complex with pool overlooking the sea, open to all those who buy a drink.

The Costa Tropical/Granada region

La Herradura (translated as the horseshoe) aptly describes the curved bay between the headlands of Cerro Gordo and Punta de la Mona to the East, the village of La Herradura has retained its Spanish character and unlike other built up areas in Southern Spain, has remained unspoilt by tourism. There is a good selection of restaurants and typical Spanish bars, supermarkets, baker, banks and a newsagent, medical services, hairdressers and a fresh food market each morning. There are several flea markets in the local villages. Almunecar is just a short drive away, a thriving Spanisn town, with its own castle, bird park and Friday market.

The famous slopes of Sierra Nevada are close by and open up until May. The Alpujarres, half an hour drive away for keen walkers. Granada a beautiful moorish town, with the Alhambra which should not be missed is only 1 hours drive. Not forgetting Nerja and its famous caves and night life just 15 mins drive away and the Old Spanish town Frigiliana.


Almunecar area

Water skiing, wind surfing, scuba diving, hang-gliding, golf, horseriding plus plenty of local restaurants, (nightlife, clubs and discos 15 mins drive into Nerja).
A wonderful base for walkers and skiers just 1 hour drive up into the Sierra Nevada and also to Granada to visit the Alambra or the beautiful scenic view driving up into the Alpujarras National Park.

Fly to Malaga airport, take the local bus to the central bus station for a connection to the bus to La Herradura or if you are driving from Malaga, take theE15/ N340 motorway into La Herradura (one and a quarter hours journey, signed to Almeria, Motril and Nerja.car can be advised and arranged from Malaga,Granada or Almeria Airports.
Many low cost flights available through Easy Jet and Ryanair which fly from all main airports, including Bristol, Luton & Stansted. Flights to Almeria and Granada are now available, making your journey a little more interesting.

Just 10 minutes drive to the popular Marina del Este (a small secluded beach 5 minutes walk from the harbour side where the rich and famous moor their yachts).
There is a good range of shops,banks, chemist, dentist and health centre, bakery,bars , restaurants and a daily fresh food market, all within a 10 minute walk away. The beach has a wide choice of watersports,horse-riding and good diving facilities. Golf is available close by at Salobrena or at Baviara Golf , Velez Malaga, a 25 minute drive away
We are an hours drive from Granada and the famous Alhambra, 10 minutes from the town of Almuneca with its beautiful beach , Bird Park, Castle ,roman ruins and winding streets.
Nerja is just 15 minutes away , again with a lovely beach and popular Tuesday market.
The quaint village of Frigliana, up in the mountains with it's many restaurants and craft shops, flowers outside the typical Spanish homes is just a 30 minute drive away.


Naturist beaches 10 mins away in each direction.

This apartment is furnished to a very high standard, it is in a wonderful location with stunning views, at the back of the property there is the village square with more stunning views, where the local people enjoy sitting and chatting ,a lovely place to take an evening stroll.
