About the home
A quiet and welcoming atmosphere based in a small Hamlet in open countryside. The nearest Town of La Haye Du Puits is just 10 minutes drive which has Restaurants, Chemist, Supermarkets, Music, and traditional French shopping including a weekly market.
Having moved to this region of France from Dorset in the UK in 2008 we have spent 3 years refurbishing the farmhouse and barns in preparation of launching our accommodation .Now finished we would be pleased to welcome you to this beautiful region. We try to do everything we can to provide you with a peaceful and relaxing holiday or experience in the music studio.
We have a separate room with key access hosting a games room with Pool Table, Table Tennis, Darts, selection of board games, xbox 360 games console, music centre and wifi internet.

The music room is part of a barn conversion separate from the main house. As well as the control room & live room which make up the studio there is a separate utility area to relax , write music or practice . Tea, coffee making facilities, fridge for cold drinks and microwave to heat up your snacks. Guests staying in the apartment with musical instruments are welcome to use the facility.

La Haye-du-Puits is situated in the Manche department (Normandy region) in the north of France at 38 km from Saint-Lo, the department capital. (General information: La Haye-du-Puits is 288 km from Paris and 304 km from the port at Calais).
Popular places to visit near La Haye-du-Puits: these include Coutances at 28 km and Cherbourg at 38 km. Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin is a listed 'regional natural parc' at 18km and Valognes is a listed 'town of art and history' at 25km.

The La Haye du Puits / Lithaire area
Lithaire : Mount Castre to Lithaire is a remarkable site that has been built by the municipality of Lithaire in cooperation with the District, which includes 21 municipalities in the canton of 24 and the Regional Park of Cotentin and Bessin. The developed site also known as 'Old Castle' has been the site of old quarries since the beginning of the century until 1979. Great area for fishing , children s play park and boating lake.
Lithaire mean 'mountain views' or 'beautiful view' simply. Mount Castre itself, which is the name of the wood and the hill that rises to the west of the town's current Lithaire, named after the fight that allegedly took place in 56 BC between the AD Romans commanded by Sabinus, a lieutenant of Caesar and the Gauls (Unelles, and Lexovii Eburovices) led Viridovix. 'Castre' means 'camp' in Latin, he gave 'castle' and castle.

FROM CHERBOURG
Take the N13 towards VALOGNES
Take the second turn signposted VALOGNES, the D2 towards SAINT-SAUVEUR-LE-VICOMTE.
After SAINT-SAUVEUR-LE-VICOMTE continue along the D900, at the roundabout take the 2nd exit and continue along the D900E towards La-Haye-Du-Puits. At next roundabout continue straight ahead, 2nd exit, into La-Haye-Du-Puits. Continue along the D900E / Rue du Chateau Saint-Sauveur then at roundabout take the left exit. At the Traffic Lights take a left D903 towards CARENTAN. Continue through LITHAIRE after passing open fields on your right, you go up a slight hill passing through the Hamlet of LE FRY . WE ARE ON THE BROW OF THE HILL RIGHT TURN Signposted VIE FACILE
FROM CAEN
Depart Caen take the N814 / E46 towards RENNES / CHERBOURG / CARPIQUET / BAYEUX.
Continue along the N13 / E46 take exit towards BARNEVILLE-CARTERET/ Z.I. DE CARENTAN.
Turn left D971 towards BARNEVILLE-CARTERET/ Z.I. DE CARENTAN.
Passing close to Carentan turn right D903. Continue along the D903 towards La Haye Du Puits(approx 10/15 mins) passing through the villages of Auvers, Baupte, and St Jores. After St Jores, Continue through open countryside for 4 minutes you will pass a layby on your right and we are 200 metres after the layby on the Left Signposted VIE FACILE
