The house is English owned ( owners in situ part of the time ) & on the edge of a village with it’s own chateau. La Creuse river with excellent fishing is nearby.
The village is 10mins by car to the old town of Descartes, home of the philosopher, and of La Roche Posay a spa town which sports a casino, pay & play golf course and a race course. Both have ample shops, supermarkets and restaurants.
4 bicycles, golf clubs and barbecue are available for use.

To the front is laid with lawn and gravel giving ample room for sitting and eating out in either the sun or shade.
To the rear is the pool and patio area, overlooking rolling hills, with sun loungers and a shady terrace.
Simply choose your place for your breakfast, glass of wine or your BBQ or choose to explore the local area on 1 of the 4 bicycles.
The Loire Valley / Indre-et-Loire region
An ancient and once very popular route for trade, the Loire area has historical sites which range from the troglodyte caves at Rochmenier to extensive Romans remains.
Thought the Loire Valley runs the longest river in France, this part of the country is a host to the magnificent ancient medieval capital of Bourges, the cathedral of Chartes and magical châteaux at Amboise, Cheveny and Chenonceaux.
The La Guerche area
The house is located on the edge of the historical and picturesque village of La Guerche, in the beautiful valley of the river Loire.
This tranquil area is known for its Chateaux and fine wine. Surrounded by rolling hills, forests and fields of sunflowers, the village boasts its own chateau, open every day, and excellent fishing on the river Creuse.
The picturesque and small towns of Descartes ( restaurants, shops, Sunday market & museum ) and La Roche Posay (restaurants, casino, racecourse, Tues market ) are only 10mins drive away.
The historical towns of Loches & Chatellerault are a short drive as is Futurescope.

Our week runs from Sat-Sat, arriving after 2pm and leaving by 10.30am.However we are happy to receive enquiries for alternative arrival days.
A 20% deposit is payable at the time of booking with the balance being due 6 weeks before your departure date along with a returnable deposit of £200 against breakages and damage and non return of the keys.
Preferred payment method: Cheque or bank transfer in sterling.
On receipt of your final invoice we will enclose a shopping list. If you wish to purchase this pack please fill in and return with your payment.
