The Valenciana region

There’s much more to Mallorca than the beach. Palma de Mallorca (or simply Palma) is the main centre and a charming stop. The northwest coast, dominated by the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, is a beautiful region of olive groves, pine forests and ochre villages, with a spectacularly rugged coastline.

Most of Mallorca’s best beaches are on the north and east coasts and, although many have been swallowed up by tourist developments, you can still find the occasional exception. There is also a scattering of fine beaches along parts of the south coast.

The capital, Palma de Mallorca, is on the south side of the island, on a bay famous for its brilliant sunsets.

Locals refer to what lies beyond the capital as the part forana, the ‘part outside’. A series of rocky coves and harbours punctuate the short southwest coastline. In part forana there are a lot of small villages with their charming places to visit, its traditions and its culinary customs.

The spectacular Serra de Tramuntana mountain range runs parallel with the northwest coast and Puig Major (1445m) is its highest point. The northeast coast is largely made up of two bays, the Badia de Pollença and the larger Badia d’Alcúdia

La Font

The municipality of Pollensa is one of the most beautiful areas of the island of Majorca and an attractive place to visit any time of year but mainly in spring and summer. Give everyone to visitors the possibility to enjoy a landscape of sea and mountain or a wide range of cultural and services.

Beautiful places like the outside steps of Calvary, the Roman Bridge, the interesting Museum, the Music Festival, numerous art exhibitions and galleries ... they all fill the visit with an special attractive to the heart of Pollensa.

El Puerto de Pollensa, an old fishing place, retains its personality of a privileged place, with its long pine walk and wide beaches. Formentor, symbolic resting place for famous people with its spectacular beach. The Cala San Vicente hosts a series of coves with crystal clear water in a quiet urbanization. And in all of these areas you will find restaurants, pubs, nightlife, aquatics sports activities, golf,…..

Landscape, history, culture, art, cuisine, traditions, duty and service, beaches ... all this and more in Pollensa.
