Much loved family country cottage situated in quiet village which is surrounded by forest, cycle and walk ways. Situated 5 mins from local shop and 15 mins from larger towns of Durtal and La Fleche.
Plenty of opportunity to relax with the slower pace of French life. Great place to chill out, walk the dog (not provided!) and get the kids away from MSN, etc,,, and back to some old fashioned fun. Selection of bikes, rollerblades, skipping ropes, games amongst other bits are available.

The Loire Valley / Sarthe region
During the summer, daytime temperatures average between 70-80° F.
La Fleche (15 mins) drive offers a lake and beach with lifeguard during the summer months. Great play area in the sand with swings, slides and a flying fox. Take a deckchair, picnic, buy an ice cream and chill. Alternatively take a stroll or cycle around the lake.
La Fleche / Cre sur Le Loir area
Fishing is available in the local Le Loir river and fishing permits can be purchased from the local shop.
Good place to be based to go on a wine tour. Plenty of independant chateaux that are more than happy to give you advice and let you sample their wine.
How to get there
The quickest route from the UK is a flight from Southampton to Anger ( flybe.com) or into Tours (78km) with Ryanair, (Stansted) which is 60 Km away.
The Ferry ports of Caen, Cherbourg, St Malo and Le Havre are within 2 -3 hours drive.

Kitchen door opens to the front of the house making it easy to eat outside with large garden table and chairs for outside eating.
